Staying at Hotel das Cataratas was honestly one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. The location is unbeatable—right inside Iguaçu National Park, with the falls just steps away. Being able to explore them early in the morning or after the park closes, without the crowds, felt magical.
The hotel itself is stunning. It has this charming old-world style with Portuguese-inspired touches—hand-painted tiles, rich wood furniture, and beautiful gardens. Everything is so polished and thoughtfully designed, it feels luxurious without being over-the-top.
What really made the stay unforgettable, though, was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind and attentive. From the front desk to the restaurant servers, you could tell they truly cared about the guest experience. Every little detail was taken care of, often before we even had to ask.
The food was fantastic too—breakfast at Ipê Grill had tons of options (all delicious), and dinner at Itaipu was equally impressive.
All in all, Hotel das Cataratas is the perfect mix of natural beauty, classic charm, and exceptional service. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
