My wife and I stayed here on a 3 day trip in early January 2015. We had a large lovely room on the 3rd floor with views over the slopes. Breakfast was very good and the food was plentiful with sufficient choice. I was expecting some noise (from reviews I read) but the only noise was the chiming of the nearby clock-tower. The staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi coverage is poor in the bedroom but available in the lounge and other public areas.||Only one small minus point: the hotel closes for a few hours in the afternoon so if you are not a resident (with a key for access) you might have to wait until the hotel opens again before you can check in.

We took the train from Geneva to Davos Platz for the Spengler Cup week and we could not have chosen any better. Loaded with luggage and skis, the hotel is situated a 4 min walk from the train station. When checking in, they gave all these shuttle cards for riding the buses for free. the bus stop is located right in front. Plus, buy all your ski lifts at the hotel. Your room card acts as your lift ticket. Plus, they made me save 50% off! So a day of skiing was 21 francs. Ski slopes are 8 bus stops away. The arena was all within a walking distance from the hotel. Oh yeah, Geneva won...||||We had room 25, with a view on the back of the hotel, over looking the train station. This is the correct side to be on as our friends in room 23 were above the front entrance which at night can be noisy with people coming out of the disco to smoke... We did not hear the bells that other mentioned. ||||Room was clean, warm and cozy. Bedding was very good quality although I do not like twin beds put together to make one bed. I always feel like I'm not in the same bed as my wife, but that's just me. Bad room, fully renovated, great shower. TV had over 250 channels, all languages. Wifi is free and is user and password protected, that you get at the front desk.||||Breakfast is like all german or swiss german breakfast, very good. Cold cuts, eggs, nice spread of breads and a really nice lady serving us... viva Portugal!!!! ||||We tried to go to the Buffalo Grill at 17:30 and.... it was full??? Must be the Spengler Cup as game time was 20:00. Reservation is must!||||Each night, we ended up in the bar side of the restaurant with our group and we had a really good local Grison red wine, 25 francs a bottle. We had more than one.......||||Over all, as Geneva won the cup, we automatically will be back in 2014! Watch out Davos, the Eagles are going to be back!

Good value, clean hotel with large rooms, helpful personnel, great location by the Davos Platz train station and one of the main ski lifts. The deal we got included the ski pass, which was a big saving. Sadly they don't offer half pension, so one has to go out for dinner, otherwise they would have got fullest marks.|And, contrary to some reviewers, we had absolutely no problems with noise or people from the bar in the same building. So, all in all, I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is fine. It has its charm, is clean and service was friendly. However, the noise of the Bar Rotliechtli is unbearable. It should be clearly labeled that there is loud music that prevents you from sleeping.

We found this hotel through the tourism office. They were very helpful and made our reservations for us. We were walking from the train and chose to be closer to that station for an early departure the next morning. The hotel seemed jointly owned by the one next door, and we checked in after some delay waiting for the clerk. Old style buildings, a small room with the ONLY balcony in the building and only one chair in the room so we couldn't sit outside and enjoy the view. Breakfast was ok and the location proved to be perfect for us.....within easy walking distance to bus transportation (which was free) and the train station. It is such a spectacularly beautiful place with 12 inches of new snow the night before we got there......we'd love to go back and do some cross country skiing. The train ride had fabulous scenery as well. One caveat, there is a church next door which chimes every 15 minutes but it didn't bother us. The hotel bathroom provided earplugs for those who are light sleepers !!

The hotel is very near to Train station (5 min by walking). Near the hotel there is a good bar, restaurant and a big market. Free wireless work well. Rooms are clean and stuff is nice. My room was on the back side and there was some noise when the big bell of municipalitiy building tolls. But I don't care because it is romantic also. Breakfast was enough for me. For ski you can take a bus for every 10 min.

The hotel had been founded and booked based on and through the website of the local cable car company (who owns the hotel). The two superior double rooms were spacious with rustic furnitures and chair and couch-bed with shabby cover torn in some places. The wall-to-wall carpet was faultless. What hadn't been mentioned by the website and had been recognized on-site only, the clock of the church vis-á-vis struck shorter in every quarter and longer in every hour, around the clock. Besides, a music bar was in full operation from 10 pm to 1-3 am or longer every day, except Sunday, on the ground floor of the hotel building. The low tones could be heard very disturbing in the rooms still two stories higher. It's true, ear-plugs were available in a small basket in the bathrooms but they couldn't help too much. The bonded breakfast buffet - called "continental" - was monotonous and a bit scanty to have eaten six mornings long. There were problems with the validity of the (nearby) parking-house card given by the hotel and the date (agreed in advance!) of the skilift cards, too.

I visited this hotel for just two days to attend a business meeting. My stay was very relaxing and comfortable. The hotel offers a really friendly staff, amazing breakfast, beautifully decorated rooms and good prices. I had a great time there and had no issues. Highly recommended.
