"Hotel de L’Opera Hanoi—MGallery by Sofitel From its striking colonial-inspired exterior and elegant marble lobby to the uninterrupted views of the Hanoi Opera House, the Hotel de l'Opera evokes the spirit of an old world performance hall. The Old Quarter hotel’s cynosure is thenine-story atrium where velvet jewel-toned sofas, tasseled curtains, andan emerald tufted-silk wall behind the marble concierge counter have the dramatic effect of a theater foyer. The theme continues in the guest rooms: Moody walls, Hollywood-style vanity mirrors, and metallic accents nod to performers’ dressing rooms. Take in the sights from the third-floor pool terrace, which looks straight down Trang Tien Street to the iconic landmark, then head to the Fée Verte bar for cocktails before dinner at Café Lautrec, honoring the 19th-century painter and Hanoi’s ubiquitous French influences."

I flew in two days early to escape the impending Typhoon in Hong Kong and stayed in a King Sized Bed room and liked it very much. For the next three days I had booked the 77 sq m Suites Overlooking the Opera House. I was absolutely amazed at the size and Opulence of the Massive room tastefully furnished and Very Classy. I am seldom impressed but this place excelled and the staff and food were excellent too. I will be certainly be returning on my next trip to Hanoi

A beautiful hotel in the heart of the old city. Great staff and service. Large luxurious plush beds, great shiny tiled bathroom floors. And a rich choice for breakfast. The lunch buffet is very nice offering a range of choice from slalads, sushi, bread, tarts. The dinner was good. Unfortunately there was construction during the day, with accompanying noise. The massage is recommended.

A recent 3 night stay was made better with an upgrade to a delightful suite on the 5th floor. The club room on the ground floor was staffed by eager and polite staff. The canapés and drinks exceeded our expectations. The highlight was the restaurant. Again attentive staff and beautiful food. A hotel I will definitely return to and recommend to my friends and family

I have always appreciated the high standards at Accor group hotels, which is why I chose to stay 4 nights at the Hotel de l'Opera Hanoi, MGallery with family. While the Check-in, rooms and location are commendable, stiff behavior regarding some extra water refill and denying escalation feedback on the hotel premises left me wondering about Accor processes for the first time. No one bothered to reach out during the stay.||While receive weekly promotions from Accor; haven't received any feedback seeking emails on my stay at the MGallery, Hanoi yet :). The hotel is recommended for Business and Couple/Solo travelers; not very convenient or friendly if you are staying family & kids!

I visited this hotels and unfortunately hotel were under remodeling. The solvent smell was leaking into the floor I stayed. Odd smell really made me disappointed as I had high expectations to stay this hotel. Well understand remodeling the building is for next excellent. But it smells like odd socks when staying at room. Also the hot water supplies was broken and hotel didn’t make any notice in advance. This is an area hotel management need pay attention to. Again I like the hotel design and location, staff, breakfast…. But I might come one or two months later.

Absolutely loved this hotel. The entire staff was so friendly my whole stay. Really made it so nice to come back after a long day. I had two separate stays a few days apart and they managed to link it all up and also stay very communicative the whole time. Really blown away by this property. Nice fitness center Sauana and pool too. Would definitely stay here again

Our first ever holiday to this oar of the world and it was so reassuring to walk into this lovely hotel in the the heart of Hanoi which is is a city full of energy and chaos ( in a nice way!) and be welcomed by such a lovely team. Peace and tranquility wraps itself around you in this hotel from luxurious rooms / suites with all the quality soaps / shampoo / body lotions you could dream of!|A lovely swimming pool on the third floor is the perfect retreat after a busy day seeing the many sights and watching the locals go about their working day on the many scooters ( 5m to be precise!)|Breakfast is an occasion in itself offering everything you could imagine covering every base from the Western world to the East wiry which you find yourself.|The team at L’Opera are as good as any - always there to make sure you have a great time

Visited early May 2025. Booked a suite and it was well worth it. The space was great but even more so was the bed and the bath! Happy hour was well timed, location was ideal and walking distance to the chaos of the old quarter - but far enough away to feel like you in another world. Only small things was, the breakfast lacked a little compared to other hotels in the chain, but met the spot regardless. Would recommend to others.
