"This beachfront restaurant has looked out onto the ebbing and flowing tides since 1924. An idyllic setting in which to enjoy dishes that showcase fine ingredients, in particular fish and seafood, such as line-caught pollock, shallots, potatoes, mushrooms in a seafood emulsion…" - Michelin Inspector

"A fantastic location! Directly on the beach, at the foot of a chapel. The rooms, as cosy as the establishment, overlook either the bay or the flower - decked garden. Family heirlooms, antiques and a contemporary spirit. Infinitely charming." - Tablet Hotels

Beautiful place. Great food and excellent service. A little bit in the middle of nowhere. Some activities available on the beach.

Love this hotel. We have been visiting for twenty years. Its in a magical location, right on an unspoilt beach. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms luxurious. A family business for four generations. I would have given it 5 stars but the meals are not as good as they used to be, but that may be because of staff difficulties like many hospitality businesses. The front of house staff are charming though and everyone works to ensure you will enjoy the time you spend in this fabulous place.

This hotel is more than a hotel. It's just an experience. Nothing too fancy but also not too simple. I really have no complaints. I stayed in two different rooms while there because of full occupancy. Rooms are very nice and beds are incredibly comfortable. I slept so well. All products are Clarins (if one cares about that sort of thing. It was a very nice surprise to me.) But what really makes this place a gem - aside from its ideal location - are the staff and owners. I felt seen and heard and catered to in a way that was not over-the-top. The food was also excellent and let me also add that their pool was an added bonus. It was heated to my liking. We stayed as a family for one week during the heatwave across all of Europe - except for this place. It was incredibly enjoyable. The service was also just above and beyond! We've already held rooms for next summer!

This chateaux is way out there in Western France--but sophisticated and family run. The rooms are large and clean with great views over the ocean. The restaurant is world class-featuring local seafood. The staff was charming and provided us with local iteneraries and directions along the coast. Don't miss the little church in Sainte Anne. We highly recommend this hotel.

We spent at night at Hotel de la Plage while visiting Brittany and it was a dream! Our room faced the bay and its extensive beach and was quite comfortable. The hotel per se is quite lovely, very resort oriented in decor, and has a lovely restaurant. Our dinner, as you would expect was fish-oriented with langoustine en gelee, St Peter's fish and a light dessert -- all quite delicious. We also had their breakfast and my husband comment that "the fried eggs and bacon were 'to die for'"! Besides the lovely beach, they also have a pool and a play area. We walked the beach in the afternoon and after dinner and then again the next morning . . . it was so inviting. we highly recommend the Hotel de la Plage for your next visit to Brittany.

We love the place so much we have been going every year for a few days, for about the last 10 years. The area is wonderful too, you can get o real taste of ocean, and practically nowhere is ever crowded. And the food... we were deprived of our stay last year for you know what reason but hope to get there this year for our annual fix of ocean and oysters! ||(there is a compulsory field for travel date which does not cover June 2019 which was out last visit, but this is a longstanding family business and I am sure the very high standards will be the same as it was on all our visits)

The hotel was slightly dated with a tiny lift to the first floor maximum two people at a squeeze. The breakfast was not what this hotel was about, they were not as fulsome as other places we have stayed. The dinner however was something else, save for the desperately slow service. We started our 52nd Wedding anniversary in the bar with a G&T (30 euros!). We considered the choice of two menus (165 or 65 euros a head plus wine) This was no standard restaurant. We chose the 62 Euro menu, which was a bit like eating the results of a Masterchef Final! With wine 300 euros was the bill and the meal was not over until11.15pm. Far too long.
