Hotel de Pavie (Saint-Émilion, Nouvelle Aquitaine) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Among the world’s many wine regions, Saint-Émilion enjoys a special distinction; its vineyards were the first to be officially recognized by UNESCO for their historic significance. In the medieval village in the heart of the landscape, you’ll find Hôtel de Pavie, a luxury hotel that pays homage to that viticultural tradition. While the architecture is antique, the interiors are fresh and modern, with boldly colored furnishings and patterned wallpaper. Some rooms have terraces or balconies with views over the rooftops of Saint-Émilion. The hotel features a two-MICHELIN-Star restaurant, and, very sensibly, a lavish breakfast spread to prepare visitors for a day out wine tasting in the area." - Tablet Hotels

We had a delightful stay at Hotel de Pavie and were impressed by the warm hospitality throughout. The staff were generally very helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. In particular, the receptionist was exceptionally welcoming and professional, and the lady who served us at breakfast was so kind and attentive, making our mornings an absolute pleasure. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, with a lovely view that we appreciated during our stay. The hotel's overall atmosphere is charming and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind. We truly enjoyed our experience and will definitely choose Hotel de Pavie again when we return. Highly recommended!

Top marks for this amazing place. Difficult to find if driving - and they do have valet parking- so watch the sat nav. The hotel is set in several buildings on the top of a hill. It absolutely defines charm! We took three elevators to gain access to the most perfect room. Sleep quality was ten out of ten. Location for St Emilion is also perfect Breakfast is a joy and the staff enhance your stay for sure. There is no better place to stay and explore this amazing village. Just incredible

Hotel is incredible, rooms are spectacular and staff is very helpful. Breakfast is great and the onsite 2 Michelin Star restaurant is definitely worth it. Location is great and walkable to all of St Emilion. We walked to a number of wineries which I noted others drove once you got outside of the old city walls but you really can reach so many incredible wineries by foot. You do need to book most restaurants in advance around town so make sure you work with the hotel to take care of that before you arrive. Doing the private tasting at their Chateau is absolutely worth it and they’ll drive you there in the hotels Bentley. It was a great experience if you are looking for a quiet beautiful stay.

The Hotel de Pavie was the highlight of our stay in Saint Emilion and was our favourite hotel during our time in France. It is the sort of special place that helps make a holiday memorable. The best features were the luxurious rooms and the wonderful, Michelin-starred restaurant.|ROOM: Our room was luxurious and spacious, with a beautiful decor. It’s worth noting that some of the rooms are much closer to the reception area and main building so you may want to consider which part of the hotel you’d like to be in. Our room was some distance away and it took 3 different elevators to get to it. However, it was lovely and quiet and we had direct access out to the lower level of the town, near the Monolithic Church. |LOCATION:
The hotel is located in the upper level of the town, next to the church bell-tower. From here, you have a panoramic view over the medieval town and the surrounding countryside and vineyards. The Tourist Office is almost next door so you can easily book tours of the Monolithic Church or bell-tower before setting off to explore the rest of the town.|SERVICE:|Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Initially we were given a room which was quite noisy because it was below one of the dining rooms and tables and chairs were being moved late at night. When we mentioned this, it was quickly and quietly resolved and we were given a new room which we were very happy with. Breakfast was served in the bar area and was delicious. Again, service was attentive.|RESTAURANT:|The Michelin-starred La Table de Pavie was and it was another memorable part of our holiday. However I’ve written a separate review for the the restaurant.

It's a Relais Chateau... No much to say!! Very nice hotel, perfect situated in Saint Emilion village with a great service. Also has 2 options to have dinner... A Bistro very nice with very good food and a "Le Tableau de la Pavie" that is a 2 Michelin Stars that we liked very much. I would repeat in another getaway to Saint Emilion.

Hôtel de Pavie is the very definition of understated luxury. Perched in the heart of Saint-Émilion, it offers not only breathtaking views of the medieval village but also a deep sense of history woven into every detail. From the moment we stepped inside, the welcome was warm yet impeccably professional – the kind of service that feels both attentive and effortless.||Our room combined refined contemporary comfort with historic charm, complete with plush bedding, elegant furnishings, and a serene view over the vineyards. The bathroom was spacious and beautifully appointed, with every amenity thoughtfully provided.||Dining at the L’Envers du Decor was an unforgettable highlight – a masterclass in creativity and flavour that celebrated the region’s finest produce. ||The tranquil garden terrace, the intimate lounges, and the softly lit stone architecture all combined to create a sense of peaceful indulgence. Hôtel de Pavie is not just a place to stay – it’s a place to savour, remember, and long to return to. An unforgettable experience

The hotel is right in the center of town. The town is charming with lots of shops and restaurants, mostly revolving around wine. Be sure to climb the bell tower next door -- go to the nearby tourist center for the key -- for incredible views of the town and countryside. The rooms, dining areas, light fixtures and everything in the hotel are spectacular. My only gripe is that we had to take 3 elevators and walk pretty far to reach our room. So make sure not to leave anything behind because you won't feel like going back.

Hotel de Perfect. Amazing hotel on the heart of the beautiful village of Saint Emillon. Service was outstanding (except for M who met us on arrival - will leave out her full name so as not to embarrass her). Florian made up for it in our later dealings with front desk. The room was outstanding and breakfasts were terrific with amazing service. Will definitely be back as we loved the area - the food, the wine and people. Special shout out to Thomas at bar for delivering legendary guest service.
