Hotel De Pondicherry

The good points first: the location in French colony and walking distance to the promenade are the superlatives. Rooms are adequate, quaint... though not as huge as other heritage ones. It's neat and tidy. Now the cons: the staff is just never there... No calls will ever be answered. So if there is a problem, God save you to solve it yourself. It's a very narrow street so if you have a car pick up it can't stop for more than a minute. The breakfast is fruit, toast tea/coffee... And I can survive on it for 2 days max... But there are food joints around if you are into a morning walk. The restaurant is ok but priced quite steep.

Good location near the beach in white town. Basic but clean rooms. Breakfast was only first, fruits and coffee.. can improve in terms of food and additional facilities provided. 3.5/5

Very nice. Don't expect luxury, but a cool place in a nice area. I liked eating breakfast on the balcony watching the birds flying around. Bar was good with some nice local resteraunts.

Nice Ambience and really good pizzas But overpriced and nobody ever attends to you. The reception is almost always unattended.walls are thin. Good place for the restaurant to sit and have a beer

A bit past it's sell by date. Reception were initially inflexible and not very helpful but they warmed to us and us to them for being responsive to our requests and accommodating early breakfast requests.

Beautiful place nice and quiet Food is nice staff friendly Only thing the water is toxic and smelling For some reason they don't have room service and restaurant bills can't be part of the room charges And there's no breakfast available so you have to walk 4 blocks to get some Also you gave two guys sitting in the reception which I believe are management, not even introducing themselves as such and not pleasant at all

Colonial french house converted in to rooms, front lawn area converted to cafe bar(which is under maintenance) Right near the beach, awesome sitting area(reception) P.s choose your room, cuz its converted even store room is a room.

Excellent place to stay. Unique interiors. Very courteous stay. Overall extremely pleasant experience. Value for money.
