Hotel del Oso

There was nothing not to like about this hotel. Large rooms with balcony, comfy bed, pillows and plenty of bedding to change between depending on weather. Room was spotlessly cleaned everyday. Everything felt like a top hotel with a cosy twist. Staff are very friendly. We stayed for 5 nights and cant wait to return.

A superb hotel with excellent service and fantastic cuisine. Very authentic style and relaxed and easy feel to everything. The rooms are very well presented, clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful and smiled at my terrible Spanish! Excellent and extensive breakfast. The set menu is absolutely fantastic but I recommend trying their full menu. The wine list is full of superb selections and the staff made perfect recommendations. The location is perfect to investigate this mountainous region and trips to Fuente De, Mogrojevo and Bulnes are within reach. The hotel has huge amounts of charm, lovely swimming pool and three gorgeous dogs lounging in the excellent grounds. Beautiful gardens where you can see gorgeous butterflies, damsel flies, lizards and even martens! I have stayed here three times and my heart remains there.

Fantastic hotel in the middle of the pictureesque Picos de Europa. Cannot speak highly enough of the hotel, staff, and quality of the food in the restaurant - brilliant.|Its quite a drive from Autovia Cantabrico, and there are quite a lot of roadworks, there is a lovely small town nearby - Potes. The weather on the way up to hotel, misty and rainy - but the journey back was sunny and warm - some wonderful scenery.|The hotel has an old fashained feel, but the staff ensure everything is perfect, if the weather permits there are nice outside areas to relax, also a heated swimming pool, bedroom was nice with comfy bed. You should book the restaurant in advance, very busy - you will note be dissappointed the cuisine is local dishes cooked perfectly. If your in the area its a must location to stay.

The hotel offers all the amenities typically found in a resort. We stayed three nights and explored the surrounding areas within the park. The hotel features a swimming pool, tennis courts, beautiful gardens, and a fantastic restaurant. All the staff are friendly and welcoming.

This is my favourite hotel in the world. I have stayed here 3 times and it will not be the last. Everything is perfect there are no negatives. Now that the pool is heated you can even swim in May. It is paradise on earth. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. The views are amazing. The food is delicious and the breakfasts are unbelievable value. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The facilities are outstanding - children's play area, tennis court, table tennis, pool table in the annex with beautiful lounges to play cards or chess in. Outside, there is a wild flower meadow with lots of comfortable seating including a swing seat. There is free parking and free wifi. Perfect location to relax or use as a base to walk or cycle in the Picos d'Europa. What is there not to like?

Very good hotel; ideal for hikes in the mountains, Picos de Europa, and for drives to enjoy the wonderful landscape. The hotel is very well managed has impeccable service and very good foodas well as an ample breakfast buffet and excellent dinner with a good selection of wines. No worry if you can’t finish the bottle they will keep it for the next day.|The „security department“ (two Bernhadiner) are a fitting feature for mountain hotel, where bears might come by, even if the chance for the at to happen is extremely low ;-)

Perfection for families at the base of Picos. The pool, the garden, and the common rooms with games are spaces that we enjoyed so much. The location is stunning with easy to access to Fuente De and tons of hiking routes. The restaurant was outstanding as well - dinner was fantastic and the breakfast is generous and includes a full array. The staff could not be any kinder or more professional - the best service we have experienced in Spain, truly. Bravo Hotel Oso!

This was a lovely hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms clean, comfortable and attractive. The grounds were well done and suitable for all ages.. The St.Bernard dogs at the door were very friendly and liked having their tummies tickled. The food at both breakfast and in the evening was very good and they provided well for my coeliac husband. It is in a beautiful location. One of our favourite hotels!
