Extremely wonderful stay. Staff were fabulous and charming. Great breakfasts. Lovely cocktail hour. Nice bikes to rent. Very very charming rooms. 10 minute walk to so many great restaurants and bars. This was an incredibly nice experience in Cap Ferret.

Fantastic location for the Cap. Helpful but young staff. Nice breakfast. Convenient to have bikes on property (rental fee). ||Huge deck off our room and quiet all day. My only issue is that our bathroom had a sliding door that didn’t close all the way.

Pros and Cons. This place could be great, but it's not, and that's a pity. Missed opportunity. Fantastic location and great appearance on arrival. This is supposed to be like a California Route 1 motel. I have stayed in many. However, most of the rooms are accessed by a narrow staircase through the basement. What? Correct. The owners could have designed the lower rooms to be like the top ones, accessed from the outside. Very expensive - location - but furnished with stuff that is very Ikea. Plastic. Cheap wicker. And also. No staff at the desk. Ever. No one home. Extra cost to rent a bike. And more costs. Would not recommend or return. Which is a pity. This place could be great. Hence all the mixed reviews

A Wonderful Stay by the Ocean My wife and I recently stayed at Hotel Dunes for several nights, and it was a truly delightful experience. The room was beautifully maintained, and we especially loved the terrace with its sense of tranquility. We were mere steps from the stunning dunes and beach, which only enhanced our enjoyment of the property. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed to feel comfortable during our stay. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service throughout, we felt well taken care of. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in this beautiful corner of the world.

Great location, next to a wonderful beach. No views though. Very friendly and helpful staff. One of the ladies at the reception organized a wine tasting to the Bordeaux region. My wife and I stayed in suite number 14. Very comfortable. Very good breakfast, no lunch or dinner service. Cap Ferret is an amazing place.

An exquisite little place to stay, right by the stunning dune beach. So stylishly and cleverly designed , spotlessly clean and environmentally responsible, with beautiful Assouline beach/ surfer books to read in the brightly lit tiny terrace and sitting room. Young, bilingual, charming staff provided us with bikes, great restaurant referrals and pretty and effective parasol for the beach. Relaxed bar laid out in the evening and delicious breakfast bar too. Be prepared for a 10 minute walk through the sand with a couple of steep slopes, carrying all you need, as utterly unspoilt huge, stunning beach with no bars etc. Well worth the walk in the heat to get there. Magical stay.

A little gem steps from the sand dunes in a quiet and lush setting! We found paradise if you are looking for a place to stay in Cap Ferret. It has been completely redecorated with exquisite taste and attention to detail. Being a small hotel, you feel uniquely catered to. The breakfast was delicious, and the location is just perfect — far enough from the busy center to enjoy a quiet night, yet close enough to reach everything within just 2 minutes. Honestly, it was just perfect. A rare find!

Fantastic little hotel in Cap Ferret with a West Coast/ Hamptons type decor and vibe. It has a little garden with hammocks at the entrance. ||We were 2 adults and 2 kids and stayed in room 14 which is a family suite. The room was spacious and airy and had a great shower/bath. ||The hotel itself is cosy and cute and the breakfast was one of the best continental breakfasts we have had. ||The hotel provides very good bicycles to rent (with great seats for kids) and if there is any wrinkle it would be that the daily price for hotel guests is a tiny bit on the high side. ||All in all amazing stay in Cap Ferret which is a true and rare find.
