Hôtel du Buet

Had the most amazing experience (again) at Hotel Du Buet. This hotel has been in the same family for 120 years and it really feels like you’re a guest in their home. Amazing food, drink, atmosphere, and affordable too! Well located by the train station for easy access to the slopes.

What a beautiful place to rest and refresh after a walk in the Berard Valley. A lovely garden with alpine views and a slow food ethos to allow you to take in the views. We were serviced by a charming waiter, in three languages. Simple, authentic alpine food. We can recommend the fondue...

This was my first time staying at this hotel (aside from having lunch at the bar), and it was an excellent experience. The hotel is quiet, clean, and pleasant to be in. It is managed by two very nice sisters who are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and satisfying, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the area who is looking for a quiet, pleasant place to relax for a few days or seeking shelter from the rain. The night I spent at the hotel was the best night's sleep I had in three weeks of camping and staying in mountain huts around the Mont Blanc massif.

If you like TERRIBLE service with incredibly grumpy servers who want you charge you for a ‘dash of milk in your espresso’ because its then a cafe au lait 🤣🤣🤣 I mean literally a tiny drop, this is your place. Thank goodness I didn’t request a flat white or a macchiato! I may have had to take a loan… Oh and we asked for breakfast and got a sharp ‘no’ then had to ask if the pastries that were on display were for sale…they were…I wonder if they actually want to make money. They also told us to go to Switzerland where we get charged that price for one coffee - well in Switzerland they understand the concept of service and I will happily pay for that! We live in the region, will actively avoid. Suggest you do to!

Fab location, good choice of drinks, looks like great food (we didn’t eat), just a shame the lady behind the bar is very unfriendly and rude. She constantly grumbled to customers about traffic, parking, being really busy, etc. swearing under her breath… We waited for ages to pay. The other staff were lovely, just a shame this really let them down as friendliness costs nothing and really makes a difference to customer enjoyment.

Only had drinks after doing the via ferrata close by, but nice location, service and reasonably priced.

Just returned from a family ski holiday in Vallorcine. This little hotel is at the bottom of the nursery slopes of La Poya. The staff are very friendly and speak several languages. We ate there on several occasions and the food was good. We also called in on our way back from the nursery slopes for a coffee or hot chocolate. A great place to meet up, sit in the sun and relax your legs.

At the first evening we came (myself, my husband and my two girls) they could not serve us as we did not have reservations. We booked it for the next evening. Don’t forget to get your place!!! I am vegetarian and took the vegetable soup and ratatouille with pasta. It was good. The kids menu was good and the girls enjoyed it. We will be back.
