Hôtel Duo

Wonderful conversion of order buildings to a city hotel, literally in the heart of the commercial area, walking distance to many flagship stores, great dining options and landmarks. The staff were super helpful. I was lucky with my room, turned out it was on the larger side, my friend was complaining how small hers was. Very cute design, however the one of the lifts was ridiculously tiny.

I loved this small hotel. Everything was impeccably clean, and the hotel staff are warm and friendly. I found the tiny elevator charming and my tiny room very functional, comfortable and quiet. I especially loved the towel warmer. The location can’t be beat. Literally about 30 steps from the Hotel de Ville Metro, a block from the Pompidou Centre and close to lots of wonderful shops and restaurants.

I stayed at Hotel Duo this fall and had a magnificent stay. The staff is amazing and made me feel completely welcomed, doing everything possible to make my stay perfect. Any questions were answered and excellent recommendations on restaurants were made. If I needed to find something within the city, the staff would help me do so. The location of the hotel is convenient. Should my travels lead me to Paris in the future, I look forward to returning to Hotel Duo. I highly recommend staying at this fantastic property.

I traveled by myself. The room was small, but perfect. Very clean and comfortable directly across the street from BHV department store in a very central location. On the weekends. It was a little bit loud outside, but not terrible. The walls were very thin and I could hear everything in the rooms next to me. It had nice toiletries from NUXE and a towel warmer in the bathroom. I’m a pretty small person so I was comfortable somebody a little bit larger. Might find it too tight in the shower and navigating around the room.

Really good location. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Know that the standard rooms are small, just like most other standard hotels. But the rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. I am someone who is very picky about hotel cleanliness. This hotel exceeded my expectations. There isn’t anything fancy about this place but it is modern and tastefully decorated without any frumpy decor that can make a room feel crowded. I left my bags at the front desk because I arrived long before check in time and I was pleasantly surprised when I returned that they already moved my bags up to my room. I also really liked using the sauna. They give you a robe and slippers when you tell them you are going to use the sauna. You have to reserve your spot with the front desk so you basically get it all to yourself. One thing to note is you get a lot of street noise since the hotel is located right on a busy shopping street. There is also a lot of street cleaning that goes on early in the morning that is extremely hard to sleep through. But you’ll get that in a lot of small hotels in downtown Paris because the buildings are generally old. Overall, I really liked my stay. Would stay again.

Stayed here two nights and wished they had availability for a third! Great location in Le Marais, easy walk to restaurants, shopping, Notre Dame and the Musée d’Orsay. Room was small but well laid out, good bed and bathroom. Delphine the housekeeper was especially kind to my travel companion, and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel location was ideal and the staff incredibly friendly. That said, there are two things that would keep me from recommending or staying at this hotel again. I was given room #39 for four nights. First issue was that the room has a VERY unpleasant aroma! Not sure if it originates from the carpet, plumbing, or something else. I found myself smelling a Kleenex spritzed with cologne or fresh coffee grounds to overcome the smell. Second issue was that the toilet is in a separate area of the room from the sink and shower. So after using the toilet, I had to walk across the room to wash my hands in the other bathroom. As a seasoned traveler I have encountered many quirky rooms all over the world. But this particular quirk took the prize.

We had such a wonderful stay at Hotel Duo! The hotel itself felt cozy and welcoming, and we immediately felt at home. The staff went above and beyond—every time we came in or out, they greeted us warmly and even remembered who we were. On my birthday, they surprised me with a card in our room, which was such a thoughtful and personal touch. It’s these little details that truly make a place special. Highly recommend!

This hotel's location at Le Marais is perfect. The rooms are quite tiny, but they are well designed and overall work. The staff is truly doing efforts to help, and they keep the hotel impecable well taken cared of. If you want the standard comfort of a Sofitel, this is not your place. If you want to be in a nice unpretentious place from where catching up with París' cultural life, this is perfect.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Duo, as a gay American couple we felt extremely welcomed. This hotel has a true passion for inclusion and creates a very welcoming environment for all. The hotel is very clean, staff are friendly and speak very good English for those that may be concerned. Rooms are exactly as they appear in the hotel photos - very modern Hotel. Lots of shops both luxury and local within walking distance with a very large selections of cuisines when it comes to selecting restaurants. Also centrally located and within walking distance to all the major Paris attractions. We will definitely be staying again and telling our friends.

Conveniently located and surprisingly peaceful and quiet and night, this boutique hotel is located very close to a metro station. The rooms are well appointed, clean, although on the smaller side. Not a lot of room around the bed for lots of luggage if you have some. We stayed in the older part and were happy with our modern room. The staff is really the reason to celebrate this hotel. The concierge Stephane was responsive and friendly in investigating dinner reservations and has plenty of recommendations both high end and everyday. Julie, Agnes, Kelvin, Ilias, and Yannick are all extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you, all, for a great experience! This is a lovely hotel at a great value.

This hotel was fantastic, the location was perfection, close to it all! Very clean rooms and attentive and pleasant staff... Alex the bartender was exceptional With great recommendations and great drinks! I most definitely will be back and highly recommend The Duo Hotel

Oui, oui. So unobtrusive is this Marais hotel's exterior that I could've passed it multiple times each day without taking notice. Since I stayed there though, I took notice. It was clean and neat without drawing attention to itself. The ground floor had a nice sitting area as well as a bar where they were friendly enough to whip up a cocktail upon our arrival, despite it being pre-11 a.m. and the fact that their bar wasn't actually open yet. Who said the French hated Americans? The rooms are tiny, like any Paris hotel room I could afford. The bed was luxurious which was damned fine since it took up about 85% of the room's usable space. Calling the bathroom compact would be generous. The entry to the shower required lifting one's leg up above the knee; getting out of the shower was an act best executed by Gabby Douglas. My 3rd floor room was so quiet that I accidentally slept until 3 p.m. one day. The elevator was tiny (natch) and slow, so I used the stairs most every time. I really asked nothing of the hotel except that it be clean, quiet, and comfortable, have all required amenities, and be centrally located, all requirements which the Hotel Duo met in spades. There are apparently other amenities here that I missed, without regret, as I imagine you would as well. One doesn't after all, go to Paris to check out the hotel. The hotel is close to a very convenient metro stop (Hotel de Ville) and near to the Pompidou, a great modern art museum. For those who really need to know: there's a Starbucks about a block away. I swear I didn't go there much.

Stunning very Modern Hotel. Gay Friendly area. This is Hotel is a must place to stay when visiting Paris. Gay friendly modern chic. The rooms are a bit expensive but def worth it. The staff is very nice and professional and ready to help. The hotel is very quiet and halls and rooms are very close to each other. The elevator only fits 3 ppl at a time. the rooms are decorated very nice however very small. I stayed in a d bed room and we each got twin beds but i wouldnt have it any other way. I slept great both nights of being there. The bathroom was very clean and well decorated. Our windows opened up so we can enjoy the balcony where we overlooked the street. The area is very nice and around many Gay bars which was a plus for us. Many restaurants in area and shopping. Norte Dame is walking distance from hotel. The hotel offers Sauna and a Gym and a free shot (well at east for us they did). You do however need to leave your room key with the front desk every time you leave the hotel. ALL IN ALL I would def go back and stay here in the future no doubt about it.

Found this hotel on a whim. My mom and I had a bad experience with a AirBnB we were staying at, and couldn't stay there another night (water was cut off, reeked of smoke, and there was a surprise cat..we wanted out) .Looked up the closest hotels and this one wasn't more than a block away so we checked it out. The woman at the front desk was super helpful and we booked a room. The rooms are quite small. For two people it wasn't too bad, but basically all there is is room for a bed. The tub/shower was amazing...after walking around all day it was the perfect way to relax. The lounge area decor is super chic, love all the green. Had some wine at the bar downstairs that was so/so, but the bartender was nice. Overall for stopping by on a whim, we had a wonderful experience!

Very nice boutique hotel in the heart of Le Marais. Close to shops, restaurants, bars, etc. From the airport it is about an hour on the RER then a 10min walk. I took uber everywhere and there was always one close by. The hotel is very clean and modern. Like others have said the room is small but it is well arranged so it doesn't feel cramped at all. The room is very cute and cozy. I really liked the room and loved the decor! Also you get a free drink ticket when you check in. My only complaint would be the noise from the street. It is very noisy (even during the week) until about 4am. If you close the windows it helps but gets very hot in the room. The a/c didn't seem to work. Also the cigarette smoke was constant. I think it's prob from the streets or perhaps someone in hotel smokes...Idk...but being asthmatic I found it very hard to sleep dealing with the smoke and all the noise. Overall I think I would recommend this hotel but perhaps request a room not facing the street (if they have any).

They made you feel right at home! Wonderful room, small but perfect for two people. They owner and all the front desk personnel were extremely helpful. The location right in the heart of the city is fabulous. You can get to Nôtre Dame within 5 minutes walking and all the way to the Eiffel Tower in 35 minutes walking. We loved this family feel Hôtel. I even left my Apple Watch in the room and got a prompt email the next day letting me know I'd left it and and they sent it to me right away and provided all tracking info. The breakfast they serve is so large and diverse it could make eBay one happy and full for the breakfast through lunch! Great price too!

Hotel Duo is simple but clean and updated. It is close to chatlet station, which has a direct access from the airport. Even though it is faced to a busy street, surprisingly quite. Great customer service...they upgraded our room for free. The only downside was the tub didn't hold water well....it slowly drained.

No way this place should be rated this high. I stayed here several years ago and maybe in the day it was a higher rating. This place has seen its day. The carpet needs to be replaced.... I would also call ahead and ask about the construction noise. Didn't both us but heard several people complain about it. They have a snotty cute young guy that works during the day that they should have in the back and not helping customers. Won't be back...

We were scheduled to arrive 16 July but united delayed us 24 hours. We arrived a day late and was pleasantly surprised the hotel still honored our reservations. The place is nice, our room is typical European small but just enough for the two of us. The hotel is advertised as gay friendly and it totally is. I would say about half the guests are same sex couples. They do allow kids but the only two we've seen have been respectful The hotel is in a great shopping and nightlife area, we would come back!

I really enjoyed this hotel.decor is simple, clean and modern, but still cozy. Great location. Free drink at the bar upon arrival. The room was normal size for Paris. Had a beautiful window. The bathroom was clean and modern with good amenities. They had some food/snack/bar/fridge in the room as well. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a great little hotel near Hotel De Ville with easy access to the Metro. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful and was able to recommend places to eat and even get us set up with reservations a number of times. They even helped me over the phone from the US when I was trying to get into a local restaurant but was not able to get connected. The rooms are gorgeous, clean an modern with good taste. The place is quiet. The toiletries provided are perfect. A great place to stay when in Paris.

Great little hotel convenient to the gay area of Le Marais. Teeny tiny rooms. Window opened on to the busy street below, nice. Only complaint would be the plastic cups in the bathroom, nasty. Oh, if you are a large person, get the bigger room. You'll get wedged between the tub and the sink using the loo.

Great location, staff were very nice and helpful suggesting bars/restaurants/clubs. Rooms were actually a decent size by European standards, and quite modern. Room service/cleaning was efficient (they never woke us while we were asleep which is always painful). As other reviewers have said, this isn't "cheap", but for us this hotel was worth the money for what we got in return: (i) location, (ii) free wifi, (iii) welcome shot, (iv) helpful staff and (v) nice rooms

Hotel Duo is an excellent choice in the heart of the Marais neighborhood. It's very convenient to the Hotel de Ville metro stop, neighborhood cafes and nightlife. The staff is friendly/helpful and the small bar/lounge area provides a well-decorated and calm space to relax after a day touring the bustling streets of Paris. Rooms are small but well-decorated; the higher priced ones are spacious enough. The elevator is very small, but probably typical for a boutique hotel in old Paris. Highly recommended!
