"It was within the walls of this splendid mansion that Charles Gounod played the first bars of his opera, Mireille, to the Provençal author Frédéric Mistral, who wrote the libretto. Today, in an attractive retro-style dining room with the occasional Art Deco touch, guests can sample a culinary score inspired by the region’s finest ingredients, including outdoor Provence tomatoes, Mediterranean squid and crayfish, and lamb from Crau." - Michelin Inspector

This gorgeous 17th century boutique hotel in the old section of Saint Remy is a treasure. Beginning with the above-and-beyond warmth and attention from hotel manager Camille who walked us to our car park, and her fellow staff member Chloe, we were shown to our lovely, spotless and well appointed room with views of the ancient town. Fluffy robes, a Nespresso machine, and a marble bathroom. Breakfast, which is extra, was delicious, the staff was warm and friendly. We treated ourselves to dinner at their Michelin restaurant which was truly amazing and memorable, in every way. We were kind of spoiled for the rest of our trip.

If you aren’t sure where to stay in Provence, look no further! A gem of a find in St Remy de Provence with top notch service, one of a kind accommodations, attention to detail, and truly one of the highlights of our entire trip to France. Camille and Chloe also made our trip so memorable. We will be back!

This hotel is a perfect mixture of old and new. St Remy is a beautiful provincial town that is an excellent place for home base while in Provence. Plenty to do and see. It is close to the train station and easy location to visit many towns. The hotel rooms are well appointed and the customer service, led by Camille, is above and beyond. The restaurant is wonderful. We started by scheduling 4 nights here prior to a Backroads Provence bike tour. (Also amazing!!) We loved the hotel and town so much, we added another night on the back end prior to departing back to our home in the States. We chose St Remy and The Tourrel over a night in Paris!! We must come back again. This is an Amazing hotel! Incredible customer service.

We chose the Hôtel de Tourrel sight unseen based on others' reviews, and it could not have been better. The property is dead quiet despite being right in the middle of town, with gorgeous stone floors and walls, a unique and photogenic outdoor pool, and a lovely roof deck with views out over the rooftops of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. The location is excellent, and every service experience we had was perfect, from the front desk staff to the especially wonderful Gert, who attends breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Gert remembered our specific breakfast and coffee order every day and was just the friendliest man. Every single one of his recommendations for Provence — towns, markets, restaurants, even an olive oil plantation and tasting room — were dead on, truly informed, and just wonderful. We cannot thank the Tourrel staff enough, and we would definitely return. Literally the only issue we encountered was a brief interruption in the hot water, but that was a town-wide issue not specific to the hotel, and the staff did their best to resolve it quickly and suggest workarounds. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

We were pleasantly surprised how a boutique with only 9 rooms can offer many of the services at a level one would expect from a larger hotel.|Camille and Chloe were very attentive to our needs and Camille even walked us to our restaurant one night so we wouldn't get lost.|The breakfast with Gerd was surprisingly good.|We had a duplex room with an impressive outdoor deck.|The hotel even has a pool which while small is perfect for a dip.

One of the best 2 or 3 hotels we have stayed in - globally. Well located within Saint Remy de Provence, a small hotel yet very modern facilities. We stayed 6 nights in room 4 - very spacious and modern bathroom. Hotel entrance has broad ‘white stone’ staircase with subdued lighting - and of course there is also a lift! Everything seems to be well thought through. Restaurant attached for breakfast or dinner although Saint Remy has lots of restaurants etc. Also try Colette for outstanding coffee. So that makes it 5 out of 5..however the service matches the hotel and thus …8 out of 5 and one of our best. Hotel Manager Camille is empathetic and efficient - nothing too much trouble ( including our extra days), suggested change restaurant booking due to another larger party. Thanks also to Anna for assisting my wife with a hair appointment at short notice. Tres tres bon!

This hotel is in the perfect spot in St. Remy. It is beautiful and feels very French. Room was outstanding with all of the necessary appointments. Breakfast was very nice and the entire staff was very helpful. You need to know that absent an emergency there is no staff after 8:00 pm and they don't do turndown or leave you a nice little something on your pillow. Some extra attention would be a nice touch but nothing detracted from our wonderful stay. The hotel has warmth and is very nice. I would come back here for sure.
