Hotel Fasano Punta del Este

A few weeks ago the Hotel Fasano hosted a weekend retreat with Deepak Chopra, I did read about it in the news, and called the hotel to find out more and book a place to join the retreat. It took a while for me to get to the event manager and he told me a Brazilian company was in charge of all bookings, and he could not help me. It tool a number of more calls and messages to get the contact to the Brazilian company, who then never responded to any messages. In short single worst customer experience, totally frustrating that a 5 star hotel is unable to assist a potential client to make a booking. Will never stay at this hotel in the future, and can not recommend it either

I was at Fasano with my family and I had a terrible experience. I’m Brazilian and I’ve been attending the Fasano group for years. I was on vacation with my family in Punta.||We chose to have dinner on the 1st at the Gero restaurant. I’ve never been so badly served: food took a long time, horrible meat point, a lot of noise in the restaurant, no adequate service.||Nothing like what I know from Fasano. In addition, the next day I sent a message to talk about the corrido and only days were going to find out. Fasano lost a client of years. Disappointed.

The best of the best, we had the most wonderful experience staying at Fasano las Piedras. The service is outstanding, top of the line. Played tennis, swam, went to river club and had the best meals. I highly recommend this for anyone traveling to Punta del Este

Words cannot describe this beautiful weekend experience. I decided to spend a weekend there before heading to Montevideo for work. ||The service began well in advance.of the visit. Concierge services got in touch to ensure that my visit was well-planned and catered to my every need.||I was picked up at the airport by the hotel transport arrived earlier than expected. I was not only given an amazing room upgrade but was also given am early check-in at 10am and a late checkout the next day at 1.30pm. ||An extraordinary property with decadent features and a personalised service that left me amazed. The views are amazing and it is off the Richter scale peaceful with beautiful gardens and architecture.||I decided to stay on the main property but you can also get beautiful standalone bungalows. Transport is arranged easily on the 500+ hectare property using golf carts (there is also a golf course on the property for golf enthusiasts!)||I had a spa treatment, swum in the beautiful spa pool and used the huge gym, went horseriding, had a personalised yoga class, did a 2 hour day trip to the seaside and enjoyed the restaurants on the property. I also relaxed in my room and had a bath, watched the views... saw a fox, many birds and wildlife... back to beautiful nature.||The sunrises and sunsets were spellbinding.||If you've lost faith in hotels then head here to redeem your faith in the magical properties of an otherworldly escape that feels like a home. Highly recommended.

We spent three days at Fasano Las Piedras, and the view was amazing! My kids loved cycling and enjoyed their time in the heated pool. The staff was efficient and kind, and the food was exceptional—the best! However, we had an unfortunate experience at the Fasano restaurant when we found a cockroach during our dinner. The rooms were very comfortable. The main issue was the horseback riding. They only had two horses available (we were four and wanted to ride together as we had done at other hotels in Uruguay), and the horses were not in good condition. Additionally, the guide spent most of the time promoting himself and talking about his personal problems, which made the experience uncomfortable. Considering the high prices, the horseback riding experience was disappointing, especially for our kids.

We stayed at Hotel Fasano Punta del Este for 2 nights during a month-long trip in South America (@wolfestreettravel on Instagram and wolfestreettravel.com). After agonizing over whether to stay at Hotel Fasano or Estancia Vik or Bahia Vik during our stay in the Punta del Este / Jose Ignacio area, we finally chose Hotel Fasano based on the individual villa accommodations (there do not appear to be rooms with outdoor space at Estancia Vik, for example). We are so incredibly happy with the choice. The super cool / brutalist-style hotel and villas are top notch in every way, service was spectacular, and our dinner in the main restaurant (only open 3 days a week) was one of our dining highlights of the trip. Only downside was that a resident fox stole a Birkenstock that was left outside on our villa terrace! We wish we had planned our trip to stay another night at Hotel Fasano.

As breathtaking as this hotel was we just didn't have the best experience or service. Our room was really nice but it was a solid 15-20 minute walk from the hotel. Everyone within 1-2 minutes of the hotel received a golf cart but for some reason we didn't and they said they didn't have enough. So we had to call for pick ups and that usually took 2-3 calls and 20-30 minutes of waiting around. On top of this when the hotel did slow down and they had gold carts to spare they still didn't offer them to us. Every time we requested anything they just seemed like we were annoying them. For $900 a night I recommend staying anywhere else. Breakfast and service was great. Pool service was great. Hotel front desk staff... not great.

Beautiful place, but definitely over value for what they offer, spent new years eve period and the celebration was very poor DJ on a small corridor which ended up at 1am and the buffet not worth it 600 dollars per person. No real celebration, just a normal dinner.
