Ox meat dishes such as Tafelspitz (boiled beef), feather steak and ox tongue are notable specialties. They feature alongside Backhendl (fried chicken), Wiener schnitzel and half farmhouse duck fresh from the oven. Get to this hotel if you want to be in a quiet nice residential suburb. Service is good and the restaurant is reputed to be excellent. Very luxurious feel overall but especially the breakfast. (Vast majority of hotels in Munich that you will find on the usual sites will be near the train station which is not a bad area now, but used to be run down.)

Charming hotel in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the English Garden and public transportation. The family room was very nice with the wardrobe providing some privacy from the kids bed. Rooms are a bit dated but for us that added to the charm. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very friendly and helpful!

Stopped here for a nice business lunch. They have a lovely beer garden with massive trees. Daily selection of lunch menus as well as choosing from a la carte. I had the Backhendl which was very nice. Might be also a nice spot for dinner and sleeping.

I had a reservation from July 4th to 6th for 2 rooms. Booking reservation number: 4547977619. It was a prepaid, non-refundable booking. Due to the air traffic controllers' strike in France on July 3rd and 4th, all my flights were cancelled. This situation was completely beyond my control. I contacted the hotel to cancel my reservation one day before my scheduled arrival — they had enough time to resell the rooms. The hotel refused any kind of goodwill gesture, not even a voucher. Even Booking.com was surprised by their lack of understanding. I will keep posting negative reviews on all social media and booking platforms until I get some kind of refund. This lack of understanding from the hotel is unacceptable

Good stay in a traditional, bavarian Hotel with Restaurant. Room was Standard with coffee making facilities. Bathing robes. Bed comfy. Just the pitch roofed area was a challenge to get out of bed not to hit the head there for one persons side. The little Spa is ok. Restaurant and food good. Recommendable.

Beautiful hotel in a nice quiet location overlooking the English Garden. Check in was easily accomplished in English and they had packages waiting for us that I didn't even know were sent to me. A bus line runs right in front of the hotel with stops very close by in both directions. The hotel wasn't decorated specifically for Christmas but it still added to the Christmas feel of our trip.

I had one of the best salmons in my life. The crew is very friendly. It's a cosy restaurant with a warm welcoming atmosphere. You won't regret to spend your night with your family over here. Thank you Freisinger Hof!

Great hotel , lovely staff , breakfast very nice and the restaurant is amazing!|We had a great stay , loved our garden facing , downstairs room . |The only problem for us was a the lack of AC . It was very hot and there were no screens on the window/door .. at night it was not a good idea to leave the window open because of mosquitoes. I fear if in the near future nothing happens about this problem , I would not stay here again in summer . I feel really sorry to say this as I lived the place , I just couldn’t sleep .
