Yelp
This is a modern looking hotel which is inviting the moment you step into the lobby. They have a small lounge/seating area, a bar (not currently open due to covid, but seating is available), and a restaurant upstairs (also not open due to covid). Customer service at the front desk was pretty standard... gave us the basics of what we needed, but not really efficient, or going out of their way to be helpful/friendly. The elevators require you to insert your key card in order to reach your desired floor (another guest had to help us figure that out since it would never stop on our floor).
The room is clean and has decent amenities, but they gave us an accessible room (which we did not ask for), everything was a lot lower, ie. hooks, peephole, closet hangers, etc. Not a big deal, we're not the tallest people. But the layout and spacing of the room was awkward, and that became somewhat problematic. There was a large space on one side, and on the other side, not much space at all. On one side of the bed, a table and minifridge and seat, on the other side, nothing (a small table would have been helpful). And the corners of the bed were low and hard (wood/metal/ not sure), so I got a few bruises on my legs bumping into these during my stay. The fan/AC was a window unit, and it was pretty loud.. but necessary because it gets stuffy inside. But at least the rooms have temperature control, which I appreciate. The bedding was clean and comfortable, they even have a pillow menu (hypoallergenic, down, eco-friendly, memory foam... see my pic for descriptions).
They have 12 noon checkout, and the location of the hotel in union square is ideal, with great restaurants and venues nearby. For a good price, I'd stay here again.
