Our stay at Hotel Fusion was amazing. A huge shoutout to Daniel for being so professional and warm! He provided excellent introductions to San Francisco’s top spots and greeted us with genuine care every single day. It’s rare to see someone with such passion for hospitality. He made us feel right at home. Thank you, Daniel, for the top-notch service!

The hotel was very close to Union Square so was very conveniently located. The room was comfortable even if it was the smallest one we stayed in during our trip. It was good to have a safe, fridge and coffee maker, the fluffy dressing gowns were unexpected. Room is cleaned on alternate days which was ok as reception staff were able to provide more coffee etc when needed. There was a noisy air conditioning duct outside the window and the ice bucket still had rubbish from the previous occupant. Staff were helpful, e.g. printing out a one page document for us.

This hotel was terrible. Our room was the size of a closet. It smelled BAD. Mold or mildew or something. It was stuffy like there hasn’t been ventilation or moving air in it for a while. The AC was super loud and right next to the bed. I could basically reach out and touch it while still in bed. It made it impossible to sleep from how loud it was. The whole room felt gross and I had to wake up and immediately shower to get the hotel off of me. I do not recommend staying here. The lobby is clean and spotless and the staff are very nice. They have a nice luggage storage you can make use of. And the location is ideal. But it’s still not worth it.

I rarely ever write reviews, but I honestly had to take a moment to recognize Daniel at Fusion Hotel. We checked in late last night after a long, delayed flight, and he was absolutely incredible. His energy, kindness, and patience were exactly what we needed after a stressful day of travel. He made us feel so welcome and truly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. People like Daniel make all the difference—thank you for such a great first impression!

Google
Positive: Nice staff, clean hotel and rooms, comfy bed and nice bedding, convenient location in Union Square. Room was a little small but had everything needed including a safe and fridge. Small table to eat on would be nice but not much space. Would stay again! Negative: No

Google
This should really be a 5 star hotel. Not because of luxury but the price, location and service is outstanding! Small bar in lobby. Small but clean rooms. But look at the prices in that area. Fusion is one block from market Street and a perfectly adequate place to stay for a reasonable price. Thank you to the ladies downstairs who helped us and were so friendly!

Google
I recently stayed at Hotel Fusion and had a mixed experience. To start with the positives, the location is fantastic—right in the heart of downtown San Francisco. It's incredibly convenient for walking to nearby shops, restaurants, and major attractions. If you're visiting the city for sightseeing, shopping, or business, the central location really makes getting around easy and efficient. However, the room itself was smaller than I expected, especially for the price point. While it was clean and decently maintained, the space felt quite limited and not as comfortable as I had hoped. For the rate I paid, I was expecting something a bit more spacious or at least with upgraded amenities. Overall, Hotel Fusion is a solid choice if location is your top priority and you're planning to spend most of your time out and about. But if you're looking for more space and value for money, you might want to explore other options nearby.

I liked the pictures on the Google Maps entry and was really looking forward. In reality, once you enter, this place looks unbelievably cheap. It’s also very run-down. The worst however? The smell. It’s bad. It was horrible, right from the moment I entered the reception area. My room is just as bad. In short: Do not go!

Yelp
This is a review for the lobby bar where Salvatore hosted. Amazing drink service! Amazing bar! They have regulars. I want to stay again, not for the rooms, for SALVATAORE.

Yelp
Me and my bf had a mini staycation and stayed here for one night. Fantastic location and the most friendly front desk staff I've ever interacted with! All of the front desk working April 13th to April 14th were amazing, I interacted with 3 in total. The room was clean, fast wi-fi and was very conveniently located to Bart, Muni and the bus. I would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Wow. I see why this place got three stars. Old, smelly, sheets are dirty. The lobby is trying to look nice BUT bar and restaurant wasn't open. The stairs were the nicest thing about this place and we only took the stairs because we were afraid to ride the elevator. This place has a bad smell. It's in desperate need of some major renovations. I can see this place as the setting of a horror movie. Old carpeting and uneven floors that creak with every step you take. Dimly lit and grungy looking. The area is terrible. Lots of businesses closed and buildings for lease. We honestly did not do enough research before arriving. Like the other reviews mention, the window a/c unit is so loud. This place gave me a headache just being in the room for an hour. We arrived late and had no other choice but to stay the night. We were both itchy after sitting in our original room for a few minutes and asked to change rooms. Concierge was nice enough to switch us. The second room was better but not by much. We cancelled the rest of our stay and found a hotel for double the price down the road. Worth it. We went through a third party booking company so cancelling the rest of our reservation was such a pain.

Yelp
I have stayed here twice now and it's not the greatest hotel in the area, but I'm sure it's not the worst either. We checked in about 9pm on a Tuesday night and had to wait over 10 minutes at the front desk till some employee came casually walking out of the back to help. He had is earbuds in, no haste, and no apology for the wait.. horrible customer service. The girl who checked us out and setup our luggage to be held was friendly. I am giving them stars for- 1) location, only like a block from the Powell transit station! 2) Alaska points, if available you can book this one through Alaska and earn miles. Property quirks- 1) tiny rooms! You don't get much space in their rooms, but we don't stay much in the room so it's workable. 2) smells.. the rooms are not well ventilated so they tend to smell musty and sometime the hallways smell icky. Maybe next time I'll look for another hotel but right now this one is my go to for San Fransisco.

Yelp
So this hotel has lost any business from me AND clients for life I'm a San Francisco resident who has lived in the area for 15 years. I was trying to come back home on a Sunday evening and the next bus was not for another 30 minutes. I decided to call a car to take me home from the hotel lobby because it would be a safe place to stand while I waited for my Uber. It was after midnight on a Sunday. Anyone who knows or books this hotel should be an aware that at night this area becomes VERY dicey. No one, particularly a single young woman should be standing on the street corner after midnight where this hotel is located. Hotel lobbies all over the world have long been a place that is well lit and safe for someone to call a taxi. On this particular night, the front desk attendant decided to tell me that I should leave. When I asked him if he was truly trying to tell me that as a woman, I should go stand on the street after midnight rather than on his side of the door. His response was to shrug and tell me to leave. Perhaps it's because I have lived here for 15 years and know how unsafe the neighborhood is that my reaction was to be polite while remaining resolute that what he was suggesting I do would be incredibly unsafe. Just two weeks ago a person was shot a block away during broad daylight. No way was I leaving to be vulnerable on the street. His insistence and lunacy around this stance has lost all business from me forever more. I drive around 50 hotel nights a year from family and clients and I will never recommend this hotel based on my interaction tonight. In fact, I will go out of my way to tell people not to stay at this hotel. I hope the mother or sister of this staff member is treated with more dignity and respect should they need a safe place to stand for 8 mins than I was tonight

Yelp
This boutique hotel near Powell Street and Ellis..is centrally located..I hadn't seen or heard of it..I felt I could walk around and access it..it was warm and sunny today..I could get around Union Square..run errands..it was a good price on the website..I could check in easy..the key for the elevator is strange..there's a pool table and you can play with the pool table..saw an auction..the hotel is updated and I am happy to see hotels..hotels are a better effort than the modern housekeeping in a big city..who is to blame..people live in houses..the hotels are sometimes sparsely used..haha..either way..

Haleigh B.

Yelp
came in for a quick shot... charged me double & told me thats how they do it there so be warned the bar is a scam and theres much better bars in the area. they didn't let me know one shot was going to be the price of a double before charging my card.

Yelp
I was looking for a boutique but not too expensive hotel to stay at for the weekend, and found Hotel Fusion a 3-star hotel. I wasn't expecting a 4-star experience so everything was in line as expected. It's a great place to have as a home base as you explore the city, but not the most ideal if you want to spend time to hangout in your room. Staff was courteous and check in experience was good Cleanliness was alright I booked on Agoda and got a great price so it worked out very well for me. I'd say it's best for business people, individuals or maybe a couple who's just using it for sleeping. Note: some rooms are better than others. Some rooms have outward facing rooms, and some face the internal AC units. Some have AC and others don't. Request specific things if you can.

Yelp
This is a modern looking hotel which is inviting the moment you step into the lobby. They have a small lounge/seating area, a bar (not currently open due to covid, but seating is available), and a restaurant upstairs (also not open due to covid). Customer service at the front desk was pretty standard... gave us the basics of what we needed, but not really efficient, or going out of their way to be helpful/friendly. The elevators require you to insert your key card in order to reach your desired floor (another guest had to help us figure that out since it would never stop on our floor). The room is clean and has decent amenities, but they gave us an accessible room (which we did not ask for), everything was a lot lower, ie. hooks, peephole, closet hangers, etc. Not a big deal, we're not the tallest people. But the layout and spacing of the room was awkward, and that became somewhat problematic. There was a large space on one side, and on the other side, not much space at all. On one side of the bed, a table and minifridge and seat, on the other side, nothing (a small table would have been helpful). And the corners of the bed were low and hard (wood/metal/ not sure), so I got a few bruises on my legs bumping into these during my stay. The fan/AC was a window unit, and it was pretty loud.. but necessary because it gets stuffy inside. But at least the rooms have temperature control, which I appreciate. The bedding was clean and comfortable, they even have a pillow menu (hypoallergenic, down, eco-friendly, memory foam... see my pic for descriptions). They have 12 noon checkout, and the location of the hotel in union square is ideal, with great restaurants and venues nearby. For a good price, I'd stay here again.

Yelp
Horrible customer service at hotel fusion San Francisco Ellis Street. Booked a reservation, which was confirmed for one price I get to the hotel to check in and the customer service guy tells me there's no record of my reservation although I show him the confirmation email. Then he tells me he can only book me for the same room at a higher rate, nothing else you can do about it I declined horrible customer service and I will never stay there again.

Yelp
Terrible experience... I booked this hotel for me and my friends to stay at for New Years since we were going to go club hopping in the city. The front desk lady was probably the most condescending person I have ever met. Me and my group of 3 other friends walked into the hotel to check in and this lady keeps referring to my age on my ID saying "Oh you sure as hell look your age" and I said "Well yea that's my age" and then kept saying we looked like trouble? We haven't really said anything to her at this point, but she's probably profiling us because we did lean on the younger side. However I am a professional in the business and entertainment industry and cannot stand people treating me different because I'm younger. I contacted the manager the day of check out and he was of no help. I told him about how the front desk lady was extremely rude and condescending and all that could come out of his mouth was "We'll look into it" He could've at least apologized, but it sounded like he was just going to brush it off. However, he did say he'd reach out after he "looked into it" This call happened on January 1st, 2023 and today's date is February 2nd, 2023 and nothing Customer service here is not prioritized and they will not have me as a returning guest. I'm appalled by the lack of care for the guests here

Yelp
My mother and I stayed here a couple of nights ago. All was well! A 5-minute walk from the Powell BART station, easy and friendly check-in, felt safe and was quiet, clean and had everything we needed. It was helpful to read reviews ahead of time knowing that the room would be small. Our room did not face the street and maybe that's why it was so quiet. There is a coffee maker and a fridge in the room, as well as a safe. Downstairs they had a microwave and coffee. Just one block away was John's Grill restaurant which turned out to be very nice! Almost too nice as the price for a hamburger was $25. I guess they are known for their steak. Afterwards we walked 4 blocks to the Golden Gate Theater to watch a Broadway show. It was nice not to hassle with the car. The hotel was everything we had hoped for and I'm grateful.

J V.

Yelp
I was here for four days. Rooms were very clean. Housekeeping came daily. Close to Market Street and Bart station. A huge Walgreens right around the corner on Powell Street. At night, it was very quiet. Will be staying here again on my next visit.

Cathy B.

Yelp
Jesus at the front desk was so kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and ready when we arrived.

Yelp
Stayed here for one night and I must say its a very clean and friendly hotel. It's a boutique hotel with a grand hotel customer service. The front desk workers were all very helpful and polite. Our room was not the biggest but it was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and they had small packets of makeup remover, nail polish remover, shoe cleaner and more. Very thoughtful. The location was also great. We were walking distance to the Moscone center, and a lot of cafes and restaurants, and the trollies as well. Highly recommend it :)

Yelp
Over the years my husband and I have stayed at several San Francisco hotels for either pleasure or business. As we live only an hour south, we frequent SF often, one of our favorite cities in the world. December 28 would have been our first stay at the Fusion Hotel in Union Square's, San Francisco's hubbub. Unfortunately on the night prior to our stay we were called away on a sudden family emergency out of state. We immediately took an emergency flight and with other priorities in mind,, we didn't think about canceling our hotel reservation. I just now called Fusion to see if I could get a refund or reschedule. I was given a flat NO. So I'm out cash money. Honestly, I can understand No Refund as my hotel stay date was past due but to not allow me to reschedule, is beyond my comprehension. How can they be so heartless and not understand my predicament? As a result I will never look to the Fusion Hotel for a future reservation.

Yelp
I wasn't sure if 3 or 4 stars worked this time. I ended up with 3 because of the upkeep to the room floors. When you walk into the hotel you think 'wow this is nice'. Friendly staff and a nice, updated lobby. Free valet, which is required to use as the parking in San Francisco is horrid so that's a helpful touch. Go to the elevator and discover the room keys are EXTREMELY sensitive and had gotten too closer to my husband air pods and we had to get a new one. Got upstairs and the feeling went from nice to 'oh'. Older carpet and you get the feel of an old home long hallway. Creaky floors too. Found our room to discover the room key had again gotten too close, this time to the phone. Back downstairs for another one. Finally got into our room and was floored. My daughter has a bigger bedroom at home then this. Bathroom had at least an extra 3-4 feet they could have expanded the room into. And I honestly think the full size bed was smaller than a regular full. And the floor went several directions. Kinda felt like a fun house walking in there. If you order food delivery and have to wait make sure you wait in the purple chairs off the elevator and not the extremely uncomfortable couch and chairs in the lobby. But again friendly staff and it's not their fault the upstairs doesn't match the lobby. Would stay again if I had to but think would splurge to try to get a bigger room, they have them we saw but same size bed, or if we couldn't then I would get two rooms

Yelp
We stayed 2 nights to see the SF Giants and Hotel Fusion was our temporary home. They made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. Sean/Shaun at the front desk took care of us and also 2 ladies were very helpful. Thank you for the great experience. My only complaint is the 1 elevator can be a hassle but we took the stairs many times. Good exercise. We paid $65/ night for valet but you cannot put a price on having your car in a garage where there is a tenant 24/7 in SF.

Yelp
We ended up in the city for only one night so we checked in in. Availability and cost was our main concerns. And the hotel delivered. There seems to be a strict cancellation policy so beware, but other than that it was great. This hotel is crazy close to shopping, restaurants and China town. It may actually be in China town. It was the most inexpensive option at the time, available for only one night, clean and quiet. The front desk staff was very accommodating. The bedding and bathroom were very clean. There was a work out room, no pool, and the bar/restaurant was closed due to COVID. I took one star off because of the valet/ parking costs. PARKING IS AN EXPENSIVE LUXURY IN SAN FRANCISCO. JUST LEAVE YOUR CAR AT HOME AND UBER.

Vickie C.

Yelp
I have stayed here about 10 times now. It is such a hidden gem in SF. The location is awesome...less than a quarter mile from the Powell BART station & close to a lot of great restaurants, bars, shopping & museums. The rooms are always clean & the front desk staff are very nice & helpful. On my last visit this past weekend, Simone was super accommodating with our early arrival & managed to check us in early with rooms near each other on the same floor. I am looking forward to my future reservations to visit again!

Yelp
Great hotel centrally located in union square near Powell st Bart, cable cars to fishermen's wharf. Very nice staff only thing the walls seem thin because if someone has kids it's loud, but I called the front desk an the quoted them down a little Great price I'd stay again.

Yelp
Great location Great price Nice rooms Nice and friendly staff Located right above Infusion Lounge is Hotel Fusion towering at 5 stories. We stayed in their Junior Suite on the second floor and it was quite comfortable. The decor was cozy with lots of space and room to walk. booking at $145/night. Two flat screen tvs, a big desk, a sofa bed, queen bed, and a bathroom the size of the room was more than what I could ask for. We were in the heart of Union Square. Valet parking for $25 is actually very cheap for the city. This place is definitely the place to stay after partying downstairs at Infusion Lounge. Both Fusion Hotel and Infusion Lounge made the party a big success!

Yelp
Great location: centrally located in Union Square, near to shopping, dining, transit center. But the carpet smells bad, there are bugs on the bed, and the elevator is often out of service. When I needed someone to help pick up my luggage, a male staff on front desk said that he was not available. The soundproofing of the room is very bad, I could hear the neighbors walking and flushing. I will not recommend it to others, and will not stay in this hotel again.

Yelp
Here are my cons and pros: Cons: - Mildew smell from AC unit; room doesn't air out very well even with fans going all day - Didn't let me food delivery guy upstairs so had to go down myself... lame - Info binder in room is out dated - Gross water after water shut off in middle of the night; BS answer about water shut off saying that the entire block was out instead of apologizing that it was actually their doing (next day I received a memo for actual water shut off due to construction) - Don't like that the bed was in front of front door; noisy and bad feng shui; could hear everything outside which was only a few feet from where my head lied on the bed - Bed is small/short for queen - not comfortable; pillow top bed in poor condition; creaky - Tiny shower with extremely high water pressure that it stung to take a shower, but clean Pros: - Great free wifi - A "pillow menu" for a variety of choices - Chocolate mints for turn down service - Decent selection of pay non-alcoholic beverages and snacks in room - Nice toiletries made with goat's milk - A block away from Powell Bart station Complimentary breakfast (fruit, pastries, yogurt, juice and coffee) - Nice renovated lobby area & lounge/club next door (just hope your room isn't too close as I'm sure it'll be noisy since I was still able to hear music on the 4th floor) - Beautiful dragon sculptural column in lobby - gorgeous!!! - Friendly door men and staff It's possible I may stay here again. At least I felt safer here than most of the SF renovated hotels.

Yelp
I could not have been given a worse hotel. Oddly enough I'm here to interview at Yelp. The girl at the front desk has no earthly idea what she's doing. She gave my room to someone else and now I'm stuck in a POS room with a disgusting view of outdoor HVAC with bird poop on it. When confronted she told me they were sold out and there was nothing she could do. DO NOT come here.

Sara H.

Yelp
Lobby was great, staff could care less about you which is my favorite kind of staff. The hotel room was super small and single bed, also don't care because I'm not living there, just sleeping there. I stayed in room 208 and about 5 hours after leaving the hotel room, several bed bug bites have risen all over my body and in my scalp. I've washed all my clothes with fear of them invading my home, I've taken several showers because my body is itching everywhere and my friend who came with me has the same issue. The price was about $144 for a single night stay, what's the going rate for no bedbugs these days? I'd pay the extra money for a better place next time. Oh, I called the staff to tell them and they said "thanks that's never happened" but didn't ask me my room number, name or even phone number...it's definitely happened before.

Yelp
This was for a previous stay in 2014 Great location Great price Small rooms Friendly staff Based on my own stay I would probably book it again. Other more recent reviews do not look good however. Guess I'll take a look again the next time I'm headed out to SF!
google avatar

Yelp
Pros: -reasonable price -lots of restaurants nearby, as well as a Bart -cleanish -free wifi -curtains do a great job of blocking sun, although that resulted in me oversleeping to early afternoon Cons: -quite a few homeless in surrounding streets -it's small, but the bed base is kinda sharp and hidden... Knocked it a few times and hurt my leg -beds too soft -old window mounted ac unit

Yelp
We stayed for one night. When we arrived James was there and he was so nice and welcoming. He was actually the best part of the stay. The girls at the desk weren't mean but not nice either. Kinda take it or leave it attitudes. When I asked about the restaurant and bar to see if they were open or when they would be open the one word answer I got was no. Not why or anything. Which was kinda rude. I asked about vending machines or where to get water she pointed to across the street. Like wow words work much better than pointing. The room was small but it was fine. Bed was really hard and the carpet felt wet near the ac window unit. But it wasn't loud or anything. You could hear sirens but those are pretty loud anyway. But no noise from the people in adjacent rooms. When we checked out James was there again and he was very nice again. Like I said he was the best part of our stay. Def wouldn't stay again. I asked the front desk if we could use some flatware from the restaurant since our door dash didn't bring any with our food came and the girl says they don't have any at all. I'm like, you have a a restaurant. Lol! We had to use the coffee stirrers as chopsticks. See pic. Lol we ended up finding water in the gym so that was nice.

Yelp
Great location: centrally located to shopping, dining, transit, and the convention center. Comfy pillows. And...that's about all I can state about this hotel in a positive light. The floors are creaky and uneven, as was the bed. I could feel the unevenness of the floor when I walked. It felt safer keeping my shoes on. The temperature control unit was very old, lending to what others have described as a mildew smell. The bathroom was rather small, and made me feel like a giant (the sink, shower, and toilet were all very cramped). I am so very bothered by the condition of the room. The walls feel like they were never primed or prepped; rather, somebody just painted glossy paint over old, dingy walls. And that awful creaking that I mentioned - I could hear as my upstairs neighbor creaked around their room in the morning getting ready for the day. Due to the size of the bathroom and bed, I couldn't imagine staying in this room as more than a single traveler. Housekeeping was loud. But not quite as loud as the loud hip hop and R&B music being played from the lobby. Loud, obnoxious music. The noise can easily be heard from the guest room floors. The walls are thin. When I returned to my room one day at 2pm after being away all morning, it had not yet been cleaned, which forced me out of the room again to wait for it to be cleaned. I spent time during my stay wondering what, specifically, the hotel was a "fusion" of. Old and new? Creaky floors and comfy pillows? Gross bathrooms with decent toiletries? Loud music and thin walls? I write this as I stay my last night in this creepy little room before I head back to the comfort of my own bed. Tomorrow cannot come soon enough.

Yelp
Stayed here one night, it is your average San Francisco hotel. We arrived early and were worried about our luggage. The hotel allowed us to check in early which was great. We were on a upper floor at the end of the hall with a view of a brick wall. The room was clean and small but I was not there to sit in a room. The pictures are very misleading, there is NO bar or restaurant on the location. They really need to take down the photos because I don't think they have any intention of opening them back up. Staff was friendly. They have a sitting area with a couple tables on the corner of the building. Great if you like to people watch. Also a great place to eat since the room is to small for that. Overall, the hotel is nice, great location, clean I would stay here again.

Yelp
Stayed at this place last nite. When we checked in. My child found sealed condom on the floor. Under the bed was filthy. Was not vacuumed. Club was next Door, so after hour middle of the nite people walking thru the hall way being loud. Back and forth, slamming doors. Oh and above our room, freaking kids jumping around, was already late. Was not a happy person. Not getting any sleep almost At 3pm.

Yelp
Visited last weekend for a work event, found a Groupon to stay in this hotel & booked. When you walk in, the lobby presents clean & beautiful. There's a bar to the right that is not being utilized, but probably from Covid? The check in desk staff are standard, not exactly friendly & welcoming but get the job done & answer questions one may have. *There is no parking* so if you have a vehicle expect to pay $65/day for Valet service. You have to let the front desk staff know about 10mins ahead of time if you want to take your vehicle out, & they were efficient, car was always ready by the time we got downstairs. The room we stayed in was the worst part of this visit. The layout first of all, is awkward, the sink was sitting outside of the bathroom in the middle of the room. The bed tightly booked into a corner. The room had an overall damp feeling to it- there's a swamp cooler bolted into the window that stinks, but you have to keep it on to try and keep the room dry. I assume this is because there's not any ventilation, when you take a shower the entire room fogs over with the steam as there's only one very small window in the bathroom that if you open your privacy is jeopardized. The floors are squeaky wherever you walk, & to me, this room did not feel clean besides the sheets that smelled of bleach. I would not stay here again, but if you're looking for something cheap & don't have a vehicle, this place may work for you.

Yelp
Nestled in the same building of Infusion Lounge right near the Powell street cable car walking distance to shops and restaurants, Hotel infusion just had a major facelift that transformed the hotel to a resort style, chic place to stay. Just wished they did an update to the rooms as well. Rooms have enough space for a couple or small family. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Depending the room you get the views of some of the rooms are not so nice. Also you can't open the windows and forced to turn on the air, which is quite loud.

Yelp
My stay at Fusion was very pleasant, located in downtown close to everything. Rooms were small but very comfortable and clean. I got a great deal with Groupon, I def recommend this hotel. TIP: Parking is horrible in the city and overpriced almost everywhere you go. I found the Ellis parking garage for 36$ over night with security. DOWN THE STREET FROM THE HOTEL! :)

Yelp
Don't be put off by the negative reviews this hotel definitely has its negatives but there's plenty of positives to even it out! - fantastic location just off Union Square - great shower and toiletries - comfortable beds complete with a 'pillow menu' - friendly/knowledgable staff - the concierge and reception staff were particularly pleasant - in room fridge Here's the negatives! - small rooms - no air conditioning in my room - reception will give you a fan if you ask. - quite loud if you're street facing - nothing ear buds can't solve All in all the positives outweigh the few negatives. If you were really picky I'd avoid it but if you want a hotel in a great location for exploring the city then go here. Also keep an eye out for the renovations that were being completed while I stayed (AUG '16)!

Yelp
We've stayed for 2 nights on weekends. Room was clean, linens are so soft! 2 bathrobes! Mattress is good. Double windows so there was no nose at night. Fan and AC, mini fridge and free coffee! Samone at front desk was very nice and gave us a choice of rooms to choose from. No amenity fees! I don't see why another hotels charge 35$ for gym, I came to see the city and walk around.

Yelp
Really really great service is here. Check in was welcoming and a breeze. We had some medical supply shopped here and they helped us bring up the boxes. No hassles. The room is unique with lots of space. My only complaint is that bathroom is too small. Very close to shopping restaurants and bars. Definitely recommend staying here. Room was clean and had nice views of the city life.

Yelp
Taco Tuesdays? This event was organized by: Tipsy Texas Walked in at 8:30Pm and was told it was closed. I guess nobody shows up to these Taco Tuesday events. The bartendar seemed really nice and informative: (A total Ghost Town) Tue, July 2, 2019 4:00 PM - 9:30 PM PDT

Yelp
This inexpensive and conveniently located hotel is actually great. Got a good deal on Priceline and everything is walking distance.. I deduct one star because u can hear every creak and every sound in the neighboring rooms.. but besides that it was great. The staff is very helpful and kind. I saw alot of reviews saying it was dirty and outdated.. totally the opposite. Its cozy and for the price u pay it's great. Would definitely go back when I'm on a adventure in San Francisco again.

Yelp
I spent 2 days at this hotel and would probably choose somewhere else next time. When my Uber first dropped me off we had a hard time spotting the hotel in the day-looked up and saw the sign. The hotel was empty at check in so I got helped right away. My room was on the second floor and the window looked out to the middle of the building at maintenance equipment- kinda creepy. Also the sink was separated from the bathroom and next to the closet - which was weird to me. The street outside the hotel during the evening had a lot of randoms hanging around. I was traveling for work and the hotel was sufficient for getting a nights rest, but i have stayed at more homely places in SF for a comparable price.

Yelp
If you're looking for a safe, affordable, well maintained hotel, you've come to the right place. My fiancé and I stayed here for a night and we're pleasantly surprised upon arrival. We were greeted by both Jonathan Brown and Simone Hall-Williams who were more than accommodating to our extremely early arrival. We visited all of Jonathan's recommended restaurants and enjoyed them all. As you can see from a previous review, I got engaged on this trip and the staff at Hotel Fusion made it extra special. Between the room upgrade, complimentary breakfast, and chocolate covered strawberries and champagne, the entire staff went above and beyond. We want to send an extra thank you to Jonathan and Simone for making our first time to San Francisco so memorable. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to SF!

Yelp
Their website lists the amenities of a "deluxe room" as follows: Deluxe Room amenities: * Flat-screen television * Coffeemaker * Complimentary in-room coffee and tea * Iron and ironing board * Concierge services * Wake-up service * AM/FM atomic timed alarm clock Those things are all there, packed conveniently into less than 200 square feet. I was in my room for all of 5 minutes before I called the front desk asking to be moved. The room I was assigned was, I sh*t thee not, less than 200 square feet in size. The reason there's no desk in the room (surprise #2) is that there is literally no space for one. I challenge anyone to actually unfold and use the "deulxe" ironing board in there. I called the front desk asking for an actual room (as opposed to a closet) with an actual desk and was told that the only one available was the same size and immediately upstairs from the on-premises night club and "might be noisy." Surprise #3 was the complete lack of natural light in the room at 3:00p. Surprise #4 was no cell reception in the room. I re-booked at Hotel Diva before I even unpacked. I will add however, that the in-room (wired) internet connection is *blazingly* fast. Ideal if you need to download some bittorrent pr0n to take your mind off the claustrophobia. UPDATE Surprise #5: Being woken up at 02:00 by a television next door so loud that I could bid on the QVC auction that was playing. Surprise #6: The Involuntary Night Light (see photo)- The door to the room has a gap underneath it that stands about 1.5" high and lets in a giant swath of fluorescent light from the hall...that flickers from the shadow of every person that walks down the hall. Given that it is literally impossible to get more than 10 feet from the door while in the room, it's like having a flickering 60 watt night light facing the bed. It is not an overstatement to say that this place has offered the single worst hotel experience I've ever had, by a long shot. Not only have I re-booked for the week, I'm demanding my money back for the night I was there. UPDATE 2: On checkout, I spoke with the manager and said I wasn't prepared to pay for the one night I was there. She offered a sincere apology for my experience and refunded my money no questions asked.

Yelp
Stayed here for a Saturday night with my bf and a friend because we had plans to go out partying that night. Great location in union square, literally walking distance to everything. We were able to do some shopping before evening. Pull up to the hotel and leave your car out for valet. It's a pretty small hotel and has a boutique feel to it. Upon walking through the front door, You have to walk all the way down the hall to get to the front desk. We were able to get checked in rather quickly. Was able to get a late checkout the next day also. The hotel only goes up to 5 floors. We had a suite up on the 5th floor. When we got to the 5th floor, the corridor area had a funky smell, almost like musky urine. Kinda turned off by that. Got to our room... Like all yelpers mentioned, the rooms were pretty small. For our suite, size looked like what it should be for a regular room. But it was comfortable and cozy. Beds were really comfortable and easy to sleep on. Bathroom was pretty big but I wished there was a vanity area at least. It was really inconvenient to have to put my makeup on the tiny area provided. No full length mirrors either :( toiletries were given, even a toothbrush and toothpaste. Loved their shampoo and conditioner! Made my hair super soft. We were given 3 free drinks tickets for infusion lounge before 9pm that night also by the front desk! Infusion lounge was right next door. Pretty nice lounge. When we headed out the next day, they had to bring our car out. Took pretty long. We were told it takes about 35 mins because the cars are parked in a diff lot since there is no lot at the hotel premise itself. Despite the comfortable stay, this probably wouldn't be my first choice of stay next time I'm in sf.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for one night before heading to wine country. We had a great experience! The hotel staff was so helpful and greatly, teaching is how to get around and where to eat. You couldn't ask for a better location to hop on and off the trolly, right next to it! The front desk girl hooked us up with some free drink passes for the bar next door and pointed us to the best dim sum in china town. Room was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The only reason I didn't rank a 5 was the breakfast was a little lacking and the rooms are very small. But I will 100% stay there again if back in San Fran. GREAT VALUE, GREAT LOCATION, GREAT HOTEL!

Yelp
Great Location - Staff is superb - full of energy and great restaurant recommendations. The location is around the corner from Public Trasport, around the corner from Union Square, across from great restaurants - and the staff - they are so kind, informative and fun to chat with. They remembered my name and welcomed me anytime I had a question. The room is cozy about 20 x 20. But but I wasn't there to stay in the room even tho it was nicely decorated - AWESOME water pressure in the shower. This is a great deal for its location. I scoured the web looking for a better than decent place without breaking the bank. Between 100 and 200 - parking is around the corner from the hotel, unless you valet - Just a reminder, this is metro SFO - once you park your car - you wont need it again until you leave! All the transportation you will need is just 124 steps outside your door.

Yelp
Beautiful rooms, super clean, and very friendly and helpful staff! Honestly, the only downside to this hotel is the noise from street and even that isn't SUPER bad. All and all a great stay!

Yelp
The most disgusting service and amenities ever! I verified the price 6 times w HOTEL FUSION AND BOOKINGS.COM En route to a huge surgical procedure at CPMC the receptionist had me in tears with no deposit no room! This is advertisement fraud!. It ended up he intentionally gave me the Noisiest Room in the house Room #326! Between the maids slamming doors, doing laundry and their noisy carts I did not sleep a wink. Surgery ck in was 8:45 AM--- I could not wait to get out of that room. No view...just a box...TV caters to Spanish Moreno than English. The front desk clerk that was on at 2 PM 10/31 NEEDS TO BE FIRED. THREATENING A SENIOR CITIZEN FOR AN ADDITIONAL $100 when they have every expense covered to the tee. His customer service was disgusting. I could not eat last night because your HOTEL FUSION TOOK MY last $100 in case I snuck a candy or drink or had a party. I will make sure their is a write up in the News & Review--plus! I had no idea Requesting Top floor, end room, QUIETEST ROOM YOU HAVE meant in your language GIVE HER THE NOISIEST ROOM! EVEN AFTER...YOU KEPT HER FROM EATING AND HAD HET CAB FARE TO THE HOSPITAL! DO NOT STAY THERE!
