Moosleitner

"The tradition of this restaurant has been cultivated for centuries. With their rural charm, the attractive dining rooms are cosy and inviting, and make an ideal setting in which to enjoy the Bavarian cuisine that is served here – fresh, seasonal and with a penchant for locally sourced produce. This is also a nice place to spend the night: There are well-kept guestrooms, plus a small sauna and gym facilities." - Michelin Inspector

Very nice old country hotel. Internet is very very slow. It is very hard to check your mail and especially if you have attachments..... Food is OK, a bit too much of sallad, and menu is like two dishes per day. I feel they are imposing what we should eat. Rooms are tidy and nice, spacious. Service at the table is very fast. Location is 5 minute walk from shopping mall. Sauna is also OK to use.

Very convenient hotel for a stay in Freilassing and even for Salzburg. Like the way they present their long family tradition. The restaurant is excellent as well.

We stayed 4 nights here on our arrival from London. We hired a car at the airport (an irritating experience for sure, as with so many car rental companies). The drive from Munich was uneventful but we were glad to have GPS in the car. We were warmly welcomed by Evelyn who answered all my husband's questions cheerfully and with a great deal of patience! And later arranged for different pillows to be provided for us on request.||Our room was in the block across the road and was very light, airy and spacious with a balcony overlooking the garden. We had requested a quiet room when booking and this was certainly quiet and peaceful. The shower room was excellent and it always pleases me when I see a magnifying mirror! Both the bedroom and bathroom were spotless. ||We hired bikes on our first evening and cycled into Freilassing. There is no charge for the bikes. ||The breakfasts were extremely good with a wide variety of items beautifully presented. The waiting staff were charming. Sabine, in particular, engaged with us on a daily basis and we appreciated her excellent English and her knowledge of the area. We had one evening meal during our stay which was freshly cooked and high quality.||||The warm and friendly ambience permeates the whole hotel. I cannot recommend it enough and would definitely return if we were to visit the area again. If you want a typical Bavarian hotel in this area, look no further!

As our car broke down on the autobahn we arrived here without any reservation in the late afternoon on a Saturday in June. The owners were so kind and helpful and welcomed us although the hotel was full. They adjusted their bookings to accommodate us and we ended up in staying for four nights. Our car was repaired at a local Mercedes garage on the Tuesday after they received the necessary parts. When you have an unexpected problem, it is a joy to discover how generous people can be. The hotel is superb, the food a joy to eat and the rooms first class. The main hotel building is old with lots of character and charm and is tastefully decorated. We enjoyed the stay so much that we will be going back all the way from Scotland. The proprietors are excellent and so kind and generous in trying to help us. A great tonic when so many people are only interested in themselves and what they can get. We highly recommend this hotel

Excellent hotel, I've stayed here multiple times for business. I would highly recommend booking here. The owners, Toni and Beate, are incredibly accommodating and will make sure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Their kitchen is one of the highlights of staying here. Since I've stayed for many weeks I've tried just about everything on the menu and it is all fantastic. They have bicycles on site that you can borrow for the day, and Toni will be able to recommend many different routes for you depending on what you're interested in. Highly recommend!

Where do I begin? We went to Europe in May and this was our first stay - it was hard to not compare the 3 hotels we stayed at, but I assure you none came close to this one! Spacious rooms, nice balcony and very clean. The owners were so welcoming and the staff service was excellent. We had dinner here too, and it was like eating at a 5 star restaurant only with a beautiful sunset in the outside patio. The breakfast was fresh with several options to choose from, including a variety of homemade jams. There's a nice, huge swimming pool not far down the road - it's just a bicycle ride down. It's a short cab or train ride to Salzburg. We only stayed two nights here, but we wanted to stay longer because of our wonderful experience. We'll be back!

This place is just lovely, well run and exceptionally comfy. While the chalet itself is 800ish years old, the rooms are very modern, clean and incredibly varied in size and amenities. I had a lovely room with a balcony, not in the main building but in the 2nd building 20 meters from it. My room came with a double bed, a minibar fridge with some really nice local white wine in it, really fast wifi, a good working desk and a small bathroom with shower/toilet. The rooms next door to mine had larger bathrooms with baths, so I'll be trying for one of those next time. Still I was very happy with my room.||We booked a conference room in the hotel for our event, and it was absolutely ideal - good size, great wifi most of the time, good acoustics and very comfortable for 15 attendees at desks. The restaurant food was great most of the time (a dryish chicken breast every now and then amongst the crowd, but that happens) and the schnitzels were perfect. Service was ideal, plus the staff are dressed up in cute bavarian historical outfits.||The owners take great pride in this place (rightly so), and went out of their way to ensure we were looked after - even personally driving one of our people to an event when he missed the shuttle bus.||I really hope to be back here sometime, it's a charming place.

The hotel has a lot of character and the staff is extremely friendly. However, I'm not sure if this applies to all rooms, but the room I stayed in does not have air conditioning. On a hot day it's not really a room you stay in for long periods of time. Since I run a little hot at night, I had to blast the little fan provided to stay cool. Other than that, it's a great little place to experience an old time Inn vibe.
