Hotel Goldener Karpfen OHG

I stayed here with my 12 year-old in late May 2024. We had a fantastic time. The owners personally made sure our stay was comfortable, and they and their staff really went out of their way in every detail. They arranged laundry with a local laundromat, they got us a US/EU adapter, and just in general we truly felt like their guests. I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Germany from overseas.

One of the most homely hotels I have ever stayed at

A fantastic, quaint hotel right in the centre of Fulda. The room was spacious and well presented, beautiful bathroom and wonderful view from the third floor. Quiet location despite being central but one or two little oddities dropped it 1 star, namely the lack of irons in the rooms (you have to bring your clothes to reception and they will iron for you the following day) and the very slow bar service. Perhaps this is typical of German hotels, if so ignore this and assume a full 5 stars. Otherwise, everything else was on a very high level and could not find fault, will be back

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during the Christmas Market. Located maybe three blocks from the market and close to shops and restaurants. Comfortable quiet rooms with lovely artwork. Our room had two oversized twin beds, a seating area, and a large bathroom with shower. The included breakfast was nice, and they will cook eggs to order. Dinner at the on-site restaurant was perfectly prepared and delicious. We also enjoyed cocktails in the cozy lobby with a real fire on a chilly night. Everyone was friendly and happy to make all guests comfortable. Parking for a fee is available in an attached garage. Danke, Romantik for a wonderful stay!

The most charming hotel in the best location in the old section of Fulda. Loved our room. The food was incredible--so much so-we ate there EVERY night we were there (4 nights) Drinks teriffic- and a wonderful hotel for just enjoying your guests for dinner. The bathrooms were large and well appointed. We were there for a conference at the Exhibition area and to be able to "come home and relax" was so welcome. Great area to walk around in morning or night. Parking available for a car which was so appreciated.

A traditional cosy hotel in the middle of this beautiful town. A place to feel relaxed and well hosted 24h a day. No whishes which could not become true. Just an enjoyable stay anytime for business, private or just as a sneak preview in Fulda. In the middle of the city center and many sports facilities close by (biking, swimming, jogging etc.) A really personal and host friendliest place to be to visit this historical area. And do not hesitate to check out the restaurant including a view into the winelist - you'll love it. I believe the same way I do? Enjoy this wonderful and cultural place of Germany!

Lovely hotel, with a very good ambiance. Restaurant serves very nice dishes and the staff is supper friendly and professional.

We were very surprised by this very nice "baroque city" and especially by this very nice hotel; centrally located with||parking possibilities, very friendly staff with the attentive supervision of the two sisters/owners, excellent cuisine with a good choice of wines. The only minor critique was with the room which was well appointed and modern but the isolation was lacking, we could hear the sounds from the corridor and from the neighboring bathrooms. Check before reserving, there is maybe a more modern wing.||All in all a great nice oasis. We will be back!||All in all an
