Amazing hotel. The breakfast is incredible !!Lovely views of sunrise and sunset & wonderful customer service. Appreciate the port drop off & pickup. Great house wine. Recommend getting a room with a balcony if possible. The only improvement would be the coffee machine and improving the coffee strength as it’s pretty weak. Thanks for the great stay ! Can’t wait to come back !

The best hotel in Naxos. The views from the sea view rooms and rooftop terrace are amazing. All staff are wonderful and friendly. Breakfast buffet is plentiful and delicious. Rooms are clean with great water pressure. Free port/airport transfers are an added plus. Would not hesitate to stay again

Hotel Grotta was one of the most relaxing and beautiful hotels that we stayed in during our October 2024 honeymoon!! The views from our room, the dining room, and the rooftop were all stunning! Offering a sweeping vista of Naxos town and the Temple of Apollo, it's the perfect spot to take in the Naxos sunset with a glass of wine. All the staff were incredibly welcoming and offered to help in any way to make our stay better. One of the highlights was relaxing in the basement pool and jacuzzi after a long day of exploring Naxos. The hotel's location is just north of the main Naxos town, just a 10-minute walk from the port and restaurants and easy driving distance to any of the many beaches! Just be aware that there is limited parking available at the hotel!

We simply loved this hotel. We have travelled all over Greece and this was the best hotel we’ve stayed at. The staff is exceptional and so warm and engaging. It adds so much to the experience. The amenities are wonderful including the daily private use of the spa. Don’t skip it! The walk into town is easy and so worth it to stay up on the hill away from the crowds and with magnificent views. I would argue the view of the portara and sunset is the best on the island. The breakfast is special with so many choices, all homemade. The owners and staff go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need. We did not want to leave. If you are questioning the distance to the beach, don’t. It was an easy walk to multiple beach day use resorts. Get a room with a sea view, it’s worth it!

The Grotta is a beautiful hotel with an excellent location and lovely views of the sunset over the sea! The breakfast each morning was delicious - amazing variety - clearly the best we had during our stay or anywhere! The rooms were updated, comfortable and quiet. Walk in to town takes about 5-10 min depending on if you take the shortcut (steep path on a hill) or the longer way on the paved street. Enjoyed our evenings sitting outside with a cocktail from the Grotta bar after returning home from dinner etc. in town. Staff were friendly and welcoming! Don't hesitate to stay here you will be very pleased!

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. The team at Hotel Grotta goes above and beyond — truly some of the kindest, most attentive people we’ve ever met. The breakfast was absolutely exceptional (don’t skip it!), the rooms were spotless and super comfortable, and the view… just breathtaking. Every detail is thoughtful and full of heart. It genuinely felt like home. We left with full hearts and unforgettable memories.

Absolutely the best place to stay. It took me two months to finally write this review, because for the first time since I began reviewing, I wanted to keep a place to myself. Yes, it was that phenomenal. ||The staff is beyond welcoming and helpful - especially Sophia, Connie, and Michael. Dimitris Lianos, the owner, is very hands on and extremely accommodating.. I began corresponding with him in 2019. Covid cancelled our trip in 2020. He fully refunded our payment and looked forward until the time I could finally visit. It took us five years for us align our work schedules to visit Naxos. It was worth the wait.||The hotel is in a wonderful location - on the peak of an unspoiled flower covered hill with the sea and town splayed out below. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean every day and the amenities in the spa are welcomed after a long day of exploring Naxos. Rental car companies will bring a car to you at the hotel so you can explore the entire island, but the short walks to the town (Chora) allow for serendipity in discovery.||Everyone raves about Mama's breakfast. With the incredible extent of food, she must start cooking at midnight! The spread is incredible; the toughest part each day is deciding what you will eat first. The family wine is beyond good. Enjoy it while you can because its not available in stores.||These days I reminisce in all the little experiences I had at Hotel Grotta and think about returning as soon as I can. In the meantime, I can enjoy all the photos and think about all the wonderful people there. I'm sure your stay will be as great as mine. Say hello to everyone these for me!

We were here in June 2024 and loved it so much we returned in June 2025. This time, we reserved rooms with a sea view and it was spectacular. Mama's breakfast was delicious and filling, as always. The service was phenomenal, including arranging for a taxi to shuttle us to and from a very special anniversary dinner in Agia Anna. Dimitrios helped us out with the airport and ferries, and we cannot wait to stay here again sometime soon. The best thing for us is the convenience to the Chora and all the sights, food, and sounds.
