Just like the makings of a good human being, hotels are a collection of both nature and nurture. Naturally, the location of this hotel is excellent, with a quick walk from the port and a less than a ten minute walk from nearly everything you’d walk to instead of driving. But the nurture, or rather the environment, is what makes this hotel great. The reception staff is excellent; the bag-man and driver is excellent; mama’s breakfast is excellent and that chef sure does work hard; the room cleaning is excellent; and yes, even the bartender and man who talks to the cats is excellent. Also, one of the cats, the one that screams, is excellent.
I’ve stayed in many hotels, including many I wish I had never stayed in. But this hotel is a once in a lifetime experience. If you’re booking a place, and you want the best hotel my humble opinion can offer, stay here.
