Florida’s Hotel Selection Is Starting to Sizzle

"With its multicultural origins rooted in immigrant ownership centered around a once-thriving tobacco industry, there’s nothing else in Florida with a flavor quite like Tampa’s Ybor City. The boutique Hotel Haya, a recent addition to the neighborhood, offers updated accommodations in rooms it paints as “playfully nostalgic.” The rooms’ chic décor is full of references to local history, all courtesy of local artisans." - Mark Fedeli

Where to Eat, Stay, and Play Tampa

"Hotel Haya (from $175 per night), which pays homage to pre-revolution Cuba at fine dining restaurant Flor Fina and the gorgeous little coffee and breakfast bar, Cafe Quiquiriqui, which serves some of the city’s tastiest Cuban sandwiches and strongest cortaditos."

In-Depth Review of Hotel Haya in Tampa, Florida - AFAR

"Opened in 2020 as part of an independent lifestyle hotel group, this boutique property sits in the heart of Ybor City and functions as a community-focused hub for both visitors and locals. Design touches celebrate local makers and the neighborhood’s Cuban heritage — from blown-glass chandelier pieces and wrought-iron stair railings to wood-tiled floors that evoke Havana — while a Director of Lifestyle curates partnerships with more than a dozen neighborhood businesses. On-site amenities include a palm-lined lap pool, a cooler stocked with dozens of cigars, a rooster statue that nods to the area’s protected chickens, and 178 guest rooms featuring locally commissioned art, rain showers, herringbone tile bathrooms, and Grown Alchemist toiletries. The property also emphasizes accessibility with ramps throughout public spaces, nine ADA-accessible rooms, an ADA pool lift, and single-use restrooms with shower facilities near the pool deck." - Sarika Bansal

The 10 Florida Hotels for the Perfect Last Minute Getaways

"This recent addition to the Ybor City neighborhood offers updated accommodations in rooms it paints as “playfully nostalgic.” The rooms’ chic décor is brimming with local, historical references all executed by local artisans. Good location and pretty decent. The whole hotel was super clean including the rooms. They were well equipped with everything you might need for your stay. The snack bar had some great choices as well as the drinks options in the fridge. The rooms have high ceilings and feel very specious. Some of them have balconies but some of them don’t. I didn’t have one and I don’t know if the price is different for those type of rooms. The shower head was not the best, not sure if it was the model or that it was old but the sprayer and pressure were off at least in my room. I didn’t not a light bulb at the light beside the bed so that was a bit inconvenient as I had to use my flashlight to get to the bed once all the lights were off. Very accommodating with big conference areas and a very nice common area with a restaurant/ bar and comfy chairs. The pool area is not so big but it is very well maintained. Staff is super professional all around and efficient. It is in a great location, walking distance from the party street downtown.

5 Stars – Amazing Experience! I had an amazing experience at Haya Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcomed and taken care of. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I’d like to give a special shoutout to Genesis — she was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. Her warm personality and attention to detail truly made a difference. Also, Donovan was great and very accommodating, going out of his way to ensure everything was perfect. Thank you, Haya Hotel, for a memorable stay. I’ll definitely be returning!

Firstly, ever member of staff from the coffee shop to the valet guys to the front desk and any one of the bartenders were amazing. Places should strive to have this level of amazing customer service. Any question was promptly answered, any request was easily met, and the day to day interactions were nothing short of fantastic. However, the downsides all stem from our room. Unfortunately for us once we entered our room we had NO refrigerator and asked the front desk and they had maintenance bring us one (where it should’ve been originally) a day later, and the following day we told the desk the fridge they gave us didn’t work, so we went a week without one. The bed was definitely due for an upgrade, and the odd connecting balconies seemed weird? The pool area was great for these 90° days but lacked the same cleanliness and beautiful decor to match the rest of the hotel. I would recommend staying here to friends without a doubt and would consider returning myself. Just a few small things to tie it all together and it would be an EASY 5 star place.

My husband and I stayed here for one night while in town for an interview. The hotel is beautifully decorated which is one reason I booked it. Additionally, it’s a great value compared to other hotels in the area. We didn’t spend time in Ybor City aside from visiting a great bagel spot a few blocks down. My interview was near Raymond James Stadium and it was only a 15 minute drive with traffic. The only issue we had was a power outage. I think it would have been nice if the hotel offered compensation for food or valet parking but I didn’t have time to push it. Valet was $40/night which is steep but typical for hotels. It took some time for the valet to get our vehicle both times, but the attendants were very friendly and one even apologized because he admitted he was new. Regardless, I would absolutely stay here again and my husband recommended it to a friend of his visiting the area soon.

Google
I agree 💯% on the service we received. The staff greeted you every time in came in the hotel or departed the hotel. The car service was outstanding. The breakfast 🍳 was excellent and the dinner food was delicious 😋. We enjoyed the hotel and staff members. The transportation service was excellent. We would like to thank everyone involved in the hospitality business of the hotel and city.

As a wedding planner, I’ve had the pleasure of working over a dozen weddings at Hotel Haya—and it’s truly one of my favorite venues to work at. The staff is incredibly professional, warm, and attentive, which makes wedding days feel seamless from start to finish. Their level of hospitality is unmatched, and you can feel that same care whether you're there for an event or as a guest. I’ve also personally stayed at the hotel and absolutely love the experience. The rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully designed, and the on-site amenities are a dream. The coffee shop is a go-to for a quick pick-me-up, and the restaurant downstairs serves delicious food in a gorgeous setting. Plus, the location can’t be beat—it’s walkable to so many great spots in Ybor, but also has everything you need right on-site. Whether you're planning an event or just looking for a great stay in Tampa, Hotel Haya is a gem. Highly recommend!

Google
I had an amazing stay from beginning to finish! Wow truly exceptional, even me reaching out to hotel staff prior for inquiring before booking was pleasant and every staff member was extremely friendly and helpful. I spoke with Genesis who was so helpful and kind, then I spoke with manager Skyler and she went above and beyond to accommodate us. Upon my leaving I spoke with Donavan who was so kind and helpful in every way. I will definitely be returning soon!

I had an excellent day at this hotel during our business trip. The hotel is located in a quaint part of Tampa near lots of restaurants and nightlife which I thoroughly enjoyed. The hotel was clean. The rooms were modern and the staff was friendly. Also, I enjoyed getting breakfast in the hotel in the mornings. The food was very good. Looking forward to staying at this hotel again whenever I’m back in the area.

Yelp
What a stunning hotel. I stayed here for a wedding taking place on the premises. First, I was grateful that they were able to accommodate early check in as I flew in the day of the wedding. Second, the hotel bar Flor Fina is not something to sleep on! While I waited for my room, I grabbed a bite to eat and one of their craft cocktails. Looking at their cocktail menu, how can you decide?! Excellent service and excellent food/drinks. My room was modern with a large bathroom to get ready in. Even with wedding rowdy guests on premises, I enjoy a quiet nights sleep! The pool is small but gets excellent afternoon sun. The cafe on premises is a great stop for your morning coffee or a quick breakfast. The wedding was beautiful and well done by Hotel Haya staff. They turned over the ceremony space quickly while we were poolside for the cocktail hour. The reception space was large but plenty of space to dance the night away. I loved the addition of the soft seating within the reception space. Many of the older wedding guests used this space to be close to what was happening on the dance floor.

Yelp
Initially our stay started off nice but we had issues throughout the stay. You have to request room service and it only comes between a certain time. We were told our allotted time so we made plans to be out of the room for the duration of the cleaning and when we came back nothing had been done. I had a broken foot at the time and requested ice up to the room and they never came. I had to call a second time. Then on the morning of our check out there was a cockroach in the bathroom and the idea of it being near our tooth brush and toiletries was gross so we threw them away. I showed the video to the woman at the front desk and she was just like "sorry bout it" oy" | at least expected them to compensate us for the candy bar we ate in the room. We got a cafe con leche on our way out and the barista announced a "latte" for Chris and when he asked if it was a cafe con leche she said that's what she meant to say but it was in fact a latte and re argued with me about remaking it and then finally the $321.50 hold for incidentals didn't fall off my account until almost a month. The hotel came highly recommended because I'm friends with the family of one of the managing partners Joe Capitano.

Yelp
This hotel was amazing from the second I arrived until the second I checked out. The valet employees were professional and efficient and set the tone for the whole stay. The front desk staff were very hospitable making it an easy check-in. The room was spotless and I couldn't hear other guests throughout my entire stay except for some kids in the hallway. If that bothers people then an airbnb in a nice quiet neighborhood is where you should go and not to a hotel. The bed was comfortable and I wanted to take the pillows home! The bathroom was spectacular! The only thing was they did not provide hand soap and the shampoo and conditioner were much smaller than at the average hotel. Room service went smoothly. I highly recommend the Brussel sprouts! Also, I called the front desk asking if they had a wine opener and it was at my door within 10 minutes. It's also a great location on 7th Ave, which is the Main Street in Ybor. Get some NY pizza! The only downsides were that the valet and amenity charges were expensive and daily, there was no room for personal refrigeration as they have their own items in them that are available for purchase, lack of toiletries, and no coffee maker in the room. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel!!

Yelp
Didn't stay at this hotel but I did attend a wedding that was hosted here. The lobby and whole hotel is very nicely adorned and designed. The vibe is very modern and open, classy. The staff here were very efficient, the wedding was hosted on the east side of the lobby and the bartenders were very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the art that still hangs on the wall. The location itself is very convenient for exploring Ybor and the rest of channel district and sparkman wharf via the trolley cars!

Yelp
Lovely hotel stay. Also my daughter's wedding was there. Space was perfect. Food ok bar service good, communication good. Was everything 100% spot on- no. Was it a success yes. One star deducted for: no champagne in bridal suite night of wedding- this is a no brainer. Cocktail hour- apps should have been passed around continuously without any down time of there not being any. Wait staff at reception didn't service tables enough with water coffee etc without having to be asked. Food ok- seemed better at tasting. Any regrets- absolutely none!

Yelp
Location, location, location. This hotel has nice, large rooms and a comfy bed. But the location is the winner. On Ybor's famous Main Street, this hotel is within 2 blocks of food, clubs, music, artist shops, cigar bars and more.

Yelp
Chic Hoyle is very posh in everything and touches all the senses: auditory, visual, taste, touch and site. Service started at the valet parking. We had two professional and helpful valet employees. Two Young men who were friendly and helpful. Valet parking is the only option with in and out privileges. As you walk into this boutique hotel, it smelled good, appealing aesthetics and clean: the hotel spoke to all my senses and I felt my vacation in Tampa began. Service very friendly from the staff, helpful and our concierge at the front desk when we checked in last Saturday hooked us up. We had special requests about our room and they didn't disappoint. Key points that stood out about our stay: 1. It's clean form the lobby, elevator to our room 2. Smelled so good 3. Staff and customer service excellent 4. Location is close to the night life, Close enough yet far so you don't hear the noise 5. Interior Rooms are well insulated 6. Interior design is stunning, the colors of the room are modern, I loved the details weaving the cigar history into the architecture. 7. They have a restaurant which we didn't try and a cafe for breakfast. It smelled good thou next time we are in town we plan to stay here. 8. The designer do not disturb sign is chic on an emerald green satin chord. 9. All the love of serials is seen throughout the hotel and I appreciate such design thoughtfulness's. 10. Most importantly the room are quiet and the bed firm and comfortable. 11. You will get a goods night rest here. 12. Restaurants are all walking distance. We were very satisfied with our choice staying here and looking forward to returning. Have a great stay!

Yelp
Had no chair in room to use with the desk. Had to wait for one to be brought up after multiple calls. Air conditioning in room did not work. After sweating it out the first night and waiting for it to be fixed the second day I finally had AC. Toilet in room leaked ALL OVER THE FLOOR when flushing and was never fixed after being reported to maintenance when they fixed the AC unit. Valet BROUGHT THE WRONG CAR when I picked it up for the first time?! To say this hotel is completely broken and in complete chaos was an understatement.

Yelp
My description of Hotel Haya is a boutique/cottage bed & breakfast yet larger in scale by its beauty-marked architecture. Inside of this modern structure are displays of mid-century art (1900's) & a plethora of activities happening to keep guests busy whilst in the heart of Ybor City. Located at the West end corner of the Ybor Strip on 7th Avenue, the hotel offers a restaurant: Flór Fina: which serves such a scrumptious menu I'll provide separate commentary on a later date. It also has a café dubbed "Quiquiriki" that serves a fabulous Cuban croissant (a must try) *Also a Tampa thing. The Hotel is surrounded by cigar bars, other restaurants, nightclubs, local eateries and a host of other businesses for pleasure or work. (I.e.) Quiquiriki is an internet cafe which makes it a great place simply for java/espresso meetups/lite bites. *(They encourage it) Some of the activities mentioned above include Yoga classes, comedy shows, special holiday brunch events and pool parties. **Haya also provides a Florida+Georgia resident rate on select booking dates. See website ™ or frontdesk for more details.

Yelp
Newer hotel in ybor area. I'm a local so I already knew, any hotel on 7th Ave in ybor is going to be rowdy and noisy, so that was expected. The actual hotel is aesthetically pleasing, nice renovations, restaurants, pool area, reception hall (I attended a wedding). Only pet peeve is the parking situation. Valet is $35 for overnight - they do not have a private garage and essentially just park it in ybor lots from what I was told. I just opted to park across the street and pay for lot overnight pricing ($22). Super sketchy parking, lots of club goers, at one point someone was laying on the trunk of my car bc they were drunk... (I could see from my balcony). Other than that. It's in ybor. There's going to be noise. Know what you're getting into before staying here and later complaining about it. That's my only advice :)

Yelp
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Hotel is very eclectic and "New Orlean-ish vibe", located right in the heart of all of the action in Ybor City. Great hotel to stay and bar hop/ walk around. We will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
I travel often for work and have stayed at various hotels under different ownership groups. Hotel Haya was far and away the best hotel I have ever stayed at, and I intend to make this my regular spot to stay whenever I visit Tampa. Hotel Haya has the charm of a boutique hotel while delivering the 5 star amenities that you would expect at a resort. The staff is friendly, helpful, and detail oriented. Its location on 7th street is quiet and only a few steps away from the hustle and bustle of Ybor City. Such a refreshing and enjoyable stay.

Yelp
Was here for a wedding. Awesome place in Ybor. If I was from out of town and wanted a place to stay in the heart of Ybor this would be the place. Rooms are very nice and clean. Staff is amazing. Friendly and helpful. Bartenders are great and although t we didn't eat at the restaurants they sounded really good.
google avatar

Charlotte B.

Yelp
This review is only for the bar and lounge area. The bar area is really beautiful and the bartender was very attentive and made our drinks super delish. We ordered a few appetizers and decided tu sit at the lounge area. The lounge area is stunning and has a nice atmosphere. Our bartender brought our appetizers to the lounge area and we had a really great time. Can't wait to come back and try the restaurant and bakery.

Yelp
Beautiful modern hotel in Ybor. Location is quite nice. Close to many restaurants, breweries, and bars. The coffee shop in the hotel was nice to have. Valet was $35. No self park at the hotel. We had room 459, which had a balcony and faced 7th Ave. This is our first time in Tampa so we quickly discovered that Ybor was pretty dead during the day (it was also extra hot and humid this particular weekend) but quite the party scene in the evening. We had to keep our tv on to drown out the noise outside at night since there are a couple bars across the street. Do highly recommend the hotel, but I would maybe keep in mind that facing 7th Ave may be quite loud.

Yelp
Rooms are stunning, service is top notch, bar drinks are great! Pool is giving serenity. Great stay!

Yelp
Love this hotel. Staff is always professional and welcoming. Rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable. Hotel is in a great spot for going out for beverages or grabbing a bite to eat. The hotel restaurant is fabulous
google avatar

Yelp
Beautifully restored hotel in the historic district of Tampa. Service and amenities are great, clean, open areas with lots of natural light. Beautiful pool in tropical atrium. Fabulous restaurant, Flora Fina and coffee shop for morning start, nice options. Rooms are clean and roomy, with balcony, Wi-Fi and bluetooth connectivity. Convenient to restaurants, shops, live music, Saturday market. Only downside is street noise if you turn in early. Highly recommend checking it out, even if for lunch or dinner...everything we tried was amazing!

Yelp
Hotel Haya is trying its best to be a 5 star hotel in Ybor City and is doing a good job. They have taken over a city block and renovated the hotel as a tribute to Haya, a cigar aficionado. The rooms are comfortable but not overly special. I was there for a wedding and we had the rehearsal dinner in the restaurant. The meal was not spectacular but I never try to judge a restaurant on a large party because it's such a prefix menu. There is a nice coffee shop with specialty coffees and pastries in the morning. They also have a free coffee and water station. As you can imagine, with three weddings in the hotel, the bar was very busy and the bartenders were a little stressed and unfriendly. Granted they were rowdy parties, but still. Overall, a decent location there's plenty of pubs and eating establishments nearby
google avatar

Ron W.

Yelp
This hotel is beautiful. The renovation honors the historic building. The public areas are well planned and beautifully decorated. Visually, this place is five star level. The room I stayed in featured a nice large balcony. We enjoy sitting outside and watching Ybor City. The room was not practical. There wasn't enough lighting. Sometimes you need to dig through your backpack for something and good lighting helps. There was a sectioned off desk area. Enough room for one person to use at a time. Also not great. The hotel uses mini plastic bottles for shampoo/soap. I just can't endorse this practice anymore. There are so many nice bulk products that produce much less end use waste. Great location if you want close to Ybor!
google avatar

Lettie F.

Yelp
This hotel is in a perfect spot, in my opinion. Close to gay bars if that's your thing, close to touristy spots and restaurants if that's your thing (or do both!). Good starting location if you need to drive anywhere in the city. Good walking and people watching. The cafe quiquiriqui in-house is amazing and worth a visit on its own. Staff has been friendly and responsive. Rooms are nicely appointed (the tiny power switches for the modern lamps are along the body of the post, btw). Ask for a room facing the courtyard and you won't get any noise. Love the place!
google avatar

Rosa M.

Yelp
A beautiful place to have a work conference-with that sounds of roosters crowing as you're walking in from the garage, lol! This hotel is valet only but you can park in the centro ybor garage or the 717 parking lot across the street for a little less money. The hotel is almost brand new having opened in 2020, and has some historical elements. Have had breakfast and lunch so far and the food is pretty good too!
google avatar

Mailoha A.

Yelp
Was told by bartender at event when I asked if he could please make me a mocktail - "This is a bar. It is for actual drinks only. Next." Talk about rude & dismissive. Food was cold & bland. Vegan paella isn't yellow rice with a few sautéed onions on top.
google avatar

Jay J.

Yelp
My recent stay at Hotel Haya was marred by a terrible check-in experience. Despite booking my room specifically to watch the parade that began at 4 pm from the room balcony, and being told repeatedly my room would be ready by that time, it wasn't ready until 5 pm, causing me to miss half the parade. Adding to the frustration, the front desk staff misled me with false promises of a $50 discount off my room as compensation for the inconvenience, which was never honored. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction to the management, no meaningful action was taken to rectify the situation or provide compensation. I cannot recommend this hotel due to poor communication and unhelpful staff.
google avatar

Eric L.

Yelp
Stayed here for a wedding. The staff was amazingly friendly and the hotel was well maintained. The hotel was a little out of date. Poor lighting in the rooms and it's seen better days.
google avatar

Donna B.

Yelp
The kind folks at Haya agreed to allow me to check my luggage with them when I found myself with eight hours to kill in Tampa before my departure flight (having been kicked out of my Airbnb at 10 am and given no option for late checkout). When I told the Haya folks that I had NOT been a guest at their hotel they told me that they considered all travelers "guests" and were happy to accommodate my needs. Above and beyond, Haya! I'm so grateful.

Yelp
Great location! Great amenities (pool, fitness room, coffeeshop and restaurant). Comfortable bed and great service! We are so glad this is the hotel we chose to stay at our first visit to the Tampa Bay area.

Yelp
Loved our stay at Hotel Haya! It is such a beautiful and quaint property. The staff is very accommodating and welcoming. It is located right next to the streetcar system that you can take downtown.

Yelp
COVID review: I love to stay at boutique hotels in good locations when I travel and Hotel Haya was the perfect place. Its location is in the heart of Ybor City and there are many restaurants and places that are within easy walking distance. I came here with COVID restrictions in place and felt very safe here. All of the staff wore masks and everyone was required to wear masks within the community areas of the hotel. I really liked the modern decor here and they also had a pool. The hotel has a restaurant and bar, along with a coffee place that offers free coffee to hotel guests. Overall, I would come back and stay at Hotel Haya. They were very clean, in a great location, and all hotel staff were very friendly.

Yelp
There are not too many hotels in Ybor to select from so you cannot be too picky. On the plus side they do have balconies looking over the streets and it is wonderful to have trains and street cars whistling as they go by. So, the location is fantastic. Most of the problems at the hotel were small, but they can add up and be annoying. My phone broke and they had to replace it. If you want ICE, you must call down and ask for it to be brought up. The double doors to the balcony were problematic and would stick or not work well so getting them open was a pain. They advertise a Tampa Bay Times daily newspaper but they do not provide it. Their room services where terrible to contact and order from. No one would answer and one in our party gave up and had to go down stairs to order room service. The staff did not take the complaints serious enough. The prices at the restaurant or room service are exorbitant. They do not provide a full breakfast menu in the main restaurant except for weekends. During the week, you can get some breakfast sandwiches in the café. Coffee is supposed to be available all day but sometimes they pull it back behind the counter and many did not know they could ask and the staff would pour you a free cup so some in our party were paying for coffee that shouldn't have. Because we had a wedding package, parking was $25 per night for the valet parking. The cleaning services did not provide new clean glasses after cleaning not once. The showers were excellent, hot and forceful, so no complaints there. The A/C worked well to control the room temp. Beds are very soft. Pillows very plush. Bedding was ok but not that comfy. I was missing a chair at my desk and had to ask for one to be brought up. Check in/out was smooth. The wedding was ran very well by the staff so no complaints there. So, while it is an OK hotel, I have stay in many a better hotel for the same money.

Yelp
fantastic hotel! Has one of the nicest restaurants I've been to inside! Super clean with vallet parking outside. Would totally recommend coming here and also eating at one of the best restaurants with fantastic drinks and wait staff. Everyone is so friendly from checking in to checking out they treat all there members so great.

Yelp
This new hotel is very trendy and beautiful. The rooms are cute. The layout is interesting. In some rooms the bed faces the wall. In others the bed faces the balcony. Noise mitigation is wonderful. Once I close the double balcony doors the outside noise ceases. The balcony overlooked the very lively 7th ave. Lounge chairs and table made it very comfortable to sit outside and people watch. The view is beautiful and made for beautiful photos. The bed is large and very comfortable. I love the book selections. There was lots of Cuban inspiration. The bathroom is beautiful. The floor tile choice is weird because it looks kinda dirty even when clean. The downstairs pool is enclosed and is very cute. Although cute, the pool being enclosed almost made it feel like a compound. The restaurant is located right past the lobby. It looks elegant and the food matched the aesthetic. Portions are not large (to be expected). The ceviche was delicious and you can't go wrong with a slab of bacon lol. The drinks are very eccentric. Many of them are smoked and different flavors than I've ever tried. The library card drink was very flavorful and strong. Not sweet. The bartenders can make drinks that aren't on the menu. Valet is top notch. It's almost a crime how good they are Definitely plan on going back.

Yelp
BEDBUGS!!! It's been one thing after another since we been here and I keep editing this post because I haven't checked out yet! THIS IS A MUST READ!! When we checked in at 3:40pm after a long day of traveling. The front desk lady asked me if we needed a handicapped accessible room. Of course we did since my dad is in a wheelchair and I told her that we contacted the hotel prior saying that we MUST have a handicapped accessible room. She said that the room wasn't ready and that we will be first before others. There wasn't anyone else waiting and she told us to go over to the restaurant area to wait. Nobody else was waiting. Once it turned 4pm, I went back up and explained that we had a very long day of traveling and my dad was wanting to lay down. She told me it wasn't ready still and to continue waiting. I told her if I could talk to a Manager and she acted frustrated and went into side door and came right back out and said that the manager is in a meeting. I told her OK we will be waiting and I wanted to talk to her/him. Once I finally got a text we walked up to the front desk and she (front door agent) gave me a room key with no explanation and unapologetic. I didn't know where to go and she didn't explain anything about the property or about talking to the manager. I asked where to go? And she pointed to the elevators. I saw a lady that came out of the side door and looked like the manager and she walked in the elevator that we got into and she said nothing. I told my dad loud enough that the manager could hear me saying, "no manager came to talk to me and if I didn't hear anything from someone I would write a honest review about the how we were treated." The manager in the elevator didn't say anything and we got off the elevator looking for our room. Crazy how unprofessional and rude the staff were to us as a first impression. If you wanted to be treated with dignity and respect DO NOT BOOK HERE. I've stayed in A LOT CHEAPER hotels that were honest and respectful to their customers!!! Also after taking a nap I got BIT by a BEDBUG OR SOME BUG TOO! This should have been the first thing said, but since I been here I had to edit (add) to this review! Here is a picture of the Bite. Also, last night I had to get my dad into the shower due to an accident and there wasn't any place for him to sit in the Roll-in shower. I called for a shower bench and it took over 45 minutes for me to get one! This is after me calling 3 times and finally going down to the front desk and finding it in the hallway!!! I walked it back to my room. One more thing, there was only a mattress with no boxspring. It was really low and hard for my dad and me to get him out of bed. He is in a wheelchair and It's low to the floor. Coffee was at room temperature in the lobby and this is the only coffee you can get for free at the hotel since there isn't any coffee machine in the room! After talking to the manager, they denied a refund even though I explained all of the issues/problems that we dealt with. She said they couldn't refund from a third-party, which is a lie. I got refunded before through Expedia and they (Expedia) called the front desk and they denied it last night. She offered a free breakfast and I refused. I feel like it is a bad joke to even offer that; we wouldn't eat anything from here after all that bad things happening!!

Yelp
Thank you to Makia and Merritt they truly turned our trip around!!! My husband and I had a terrible experience with airbnb so we left and found hotel haya!!! They blessed us such an amazing room and my husband and I truly had a beautiful stay. The area is fun, the service (valet guys, PLEASE TIP THEM! All employees that work in this hotel were above and beyond accommodating, even the housekeepers!) at hotel haya was PHENOMENAL! Please try this place! Thank you again for the memories that we will forever have! I am beyond happy and grateful for this place!

Yelp
Hotel Haya is a beautiful, clean hotel. Location is easy to get to with valet only or street parking. Check-in was fine. Room was very cute and chic. Loved the decor and bed was cozy. Would have liked a coffee maker in room - that wasn't available. I arrived late (6pm) and tried to eat at hotel restaurant which was closed. It was a Tuesday. I would probably stay there if I was hanging in ybor city.

Yelp
This hotel was amazing! The check in process was super easy. The Valet parking was quick and easy as well. The bathroom was so clean and luxurious. The mini fridge was well stocked and had room for our personal drinks as well. The bed was so soft and cozy. The TV also had Netflix which was perfect for getting back to at the end of the night. I'd definitely come back to stay here again! It was so close to everything. We had a concert at the Ritz which was only a minute walk!!!! And we didn't have to deal with parking traffic getting out. Amazing! Thanks guys!

Yelp
My experience art Hotel Haya was nothing short of amazing. I was promptly greeted by valet, who open the car door as well as the main entrance door. Talk about feeling special. Then the reception was quick on her feet at getting me checked in. The check in process was easily about 5 mins. The service here is impeccable. Everyday regardless of the hour valet had my car out to me swiftly. I waited no more than about 2-3 mins. And all the gentleman there were super kind and courteous. Haya is obviously the place to be on the weekend. The bar and the coffee shop was filled with people laughing and genuinely enjoying themselves. The energy in the place just screamed lively. This place really breathed fresh air into me. Of course I did partake in some the action with other guest. Everyone was sweet and kind. My room was gorgeous. Simple yet profound. The small details of the entire hotel that just give it a feeling of tropical elegance. (not certain if that is a real thing but if you come here you get what I'm saying.) The white marbled tiled floors met perfectly with a deep blue carpet. The bathroom looked like it was ripped right from a newly renovated home. The whites and gray tile mixed with the woods and metals accented with black matte hardware. ** Yes, I LOVEEEE interior and yes, I just went off the deep end, Sorry ) The bed was comfortable. And the room provided more space then I actually needed. Did I mention that my room had a balcony, YESSS a balcony! There is no furniture out there but the chair from the room fit perfectly. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. And its in a prime location right on the edge of Ybor yet close enough to the action where you won't miss a beat but far enough to avoid the busyness of the area just outside. There was 1 con to the wonderful place. The water pressure in my shower sucked, taking a shower really wasn't as relaxing as Id hoped it'll be. But nonetheless did what I needed it to. Also, note they don't do daily turn-down service. I think majority of hotels veto that and I can see why here they have a lot of guest constantly checking in and out, Ybor is super touristy, so it makes sense, but if you call down they will accommodate that service for you. Another plus is being that Haya is centrally located you have so much you can do with a 5-mile radius. The parking is valet only but there is a lot around either corner. I'm not sure of the cost of the off-site parking but I know valet is $35 per night.

Yelp
Firstly, the hotel is lovely. It's newly remodeled and really quite nice. The rooms are really nice and the bathrooms very new and clean. The hotel is located in Ybor City - very walkable to nightlife, bars and restaurants. However, the noise was so loud on both nights that we visited that we were unable to sleep at all. The first night we were up until 6 am calling the front desk seeking relief. Their response was always - "we are calling the police" or "we are currently on the phone with police." The next night we were up until 3:30 am with noise so loud that it felt like a convoy was driving through our room. Constant honking, crazy blaring music...just unbelievable really. They finally agreed to move us to an inner room so we got a few hours sleep before leaving our vacation like walking zombies. Just an absolutely horrible experience. We had stayed the previous two nights and the nearby Hampton - MUCH better experience.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay at this botique hotel. The staff was really friendly and location was very central to ybor city so we could explore the nearby things to do very easily. Loved the shower gel smell!!! :)

Yelp
I love this hotel. The location is incredible, right in the center of Ybor city. The staff is incredible. Here is the one thing. The humidity in the rooms is over the top. You literally always feel wet...cool yes but damp. For this reason alone, I would not stay here again. I sincerely hope they rectify this issue because this would be my number one hotel to stay at in Tampa. Modern, clean, killer location just damp????

Yelp
We went to listen our favorite band (The Headtones) and we had a blast! We ordered some good drinks and the guacamole (and it had pineapple) it was interesting. I saw other people having burgers and they said it was good. Also, for Father's Day they had a special menu, which was BBQ with a variety of side dishes. I would have to visit again for a formal dinner.

Yelp
Beautiful Hotel in a busy area so expect to pay $35 for valet. The bar is very busy and expensive, they charge $20 for a reposado margarita and the food was not good at all. Waiter's were very slow and took forever for someone to come and see us.

Yelp
I reserved a king size bed and received confirmation that I would receive that room. When I checked in, they downgraded me to two beds. When I asked to be moved to a king, they simply said they had none available, and I would have to cope with the room on the second floor, overlooking a street.

Yelp
I stay here every time I'm in Tampa . It's a perfect location and easy to get around to all the best attractions on foot or a quick LYFT ride away . The food offerings are good and priced about right for the area . Rooms are clean and staff is friendly and the pool is small but beautiful and well done . It can get loud so don't expect a slow quiet retreat . My only disappointment is they don't have room service .

Yelp
This is our favorite hotel to stay at in Tampa. The location is great, walking distance to a ton of restaurants and bars. Although, the hotel itself has one of the best restaurants ( Flor Fina). I love the interior design and vibe of the hotel. The staff is always wonderful. My boyfriend actually forgot a few shirts hanging in the closet and they were kind enough to mail them back to us. We'll be back again!

Yelp
Great hotel and wonderful location. Staff was outstanding, coffee for guest. Pool was very nice. Very well run hotel. Nice location Conroe on 7th Ave, many restaurants and bars. Biggest surprise was the free trolley behind the hotel that takes you downtown and has 11 stops. I was on it all week. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Came for a pop up Pilates and Bubbles class this evening and was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was! Great to see a nicer end hotel in Ybor to improve the area and attract customers! Beautiful lobby area with restaurant and bar! Interested in coming back for dinner or happy hour!

Yelp
We own a condo just down the road from the Hotel Haya that our son lives in as he goes to school in Tampa. I prefer to stay at the Hotel Haya because of the staff. From the valet service to the housekeeping staff I feel at home. The Ambiance is stunning. The connecting restaurant and bar is cozy and a fun place to lounge. You will pay a bit more than chain hotels but it is worth it.
