What Surprised MICHELIN Inspectors This Year

"In the heart of medieval Bruges, this old-world charmer layers plush drapes, crystal chandeliers, and ornate crown moldings with a wink: I was surprised to discover George Clooney’s face printed, laminated, and proudly displayed — a hilarious touch accompanying very precise coffee-machine instructions. It might not be the most extravagant feature, but it lifted my spirit on a cloudy day." - The MICHELIN Guide

Relais & Chateaux Hotel Heritage (Bruges, Flanders) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Hotel Heritage is aptly named: a 19th-century edifice given new life in the very heart of the historic city center in Bruges. Plenty of its old-world, ornate charm still defines its public spaces — think wainscoting, plush drapes, and crystal chandeliers — including a lounge with a fireplace and a sundeck with panoramic views. There’s an onsite spa, sauna, and hammam, plus fitness facilities in the original 14th-century cellar. 22 rooms balance Louis XVI opulence with spacious, contemporary layouts." - Tablet Hotels

Hotel Heritage offers a very charming and tranquil atmosphere, where classic elegance and comfort come together effortlessly. The calm setting makes it especially enjoyable for couples who appreciate a refined stay with a strong sense of privacy. For those who value timeless moments of relaxation, places like this truly stand out. We usually look for the same balance of discretion and comfort when planning wellness time, which is also why Saunadelizia fits naturally within this type of experience.

Claire at the reception (and during breakfast) was amazing - super friendly, super helpful and patient! She helped us out with a lot of requests! Thank you very much, Claire! Merci beacoup! Çoxsağol! Breakfast chef with the glasses super friendly and nice as well! Thank you! Cleaning staff (ladies and the man) super friendly as well! And the evening dinner staff - specifically the guy with upward pointing hair - thank you very much! :)

There are not enough superlatives to describe this charming boutique hotel. Breakfast is wonderful, guest rooms are immaculate, quiet and inviting, and location is perfect. The staff was gracious and knowledgeable. The Hotel Heritage is the go-to property in Bruges, Belgium. They make Relais & Chateaux proud.

Google
My wife and I had an absolutely stellar stay at this charming hotel. It was perfectly situated in Bruges. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable. The breakfast each morning was amazing. White glove level service from every single person who worked there. Claire at reception was particularly accommodating and kind. Highly recommend and if we ever return to Bruges we will definitely stay here again!

Google
Hotel was a 10 out of 10 in terms of location. Service was also great - very welcoming, friendly, helpful. When it comes to decor, the hotel's opulent, over-the-top style is not my vibe. I prefer a more contemporary, clean style. I also prefer rooms with walk-in showers vs. a deep tub to navigate to have a shower. All of that said, fellow guests at the hotel seemed to love the vibe so I may just be an outlier. Hotel also serves a very nice breakfast and the bar is lovely to return to in the evening for a well-made cocktail. The hotel has a restaurant on premise but I did not dine there. The one evening I was free to do so, they were fully booked).

It is our last day at this wonderful hotel, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Every member of the staff has been incredibly kind and welcoming, including those serving breakfast each morning, who always made sure we were happy and satisfied with our meal. Our room was kept spotless throughout our stay, which made it all the more comfortable and relaxing. The location could not have been more perfect - right in the heart of the historic center, with all the sights, shops, and restaurants within easy walking distance. I truly could not have asked for a better place to stay and look forward to returning someday. Highly recommended!

Overall, everything about the hotel was great — the room was beautiful, the facilities were excellent, and the young man who helped me during check-in was very kind and professional.||||However, my experience at breakfast the next morning was extremely disappointing. There was a tall, skinny male waiter whose behavior was very rude and, frankly, felt discriminatory.||||First of all, when my friend briefly closed his eyes in the waiting area because he was tired, the waiter stood there with his arms crossed, staring at him in a very uncomfortable and judgmental way. During breakfast, his tone of voice was unnecessarily loud, and the way he walked around — stomping heavily — felt completely out of place for a five-star hotel.||||He also forgot my order, and instead of apologizing, he simply went back to the kitchen. When he returned, he tapped me on the shoulder and said, “Your order will be ready in two minutes.” Touching a guest without consent is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful, especially in a luxury hotel.||||What made me even more uncomfortable was that he didn’t behave that way toward other guests. It truly felt like there was a sense of discrimination against us as Asians.||||The hotel itself is wonderful, but this breakfast experience completely changed my overall impression. A five-star property should ensure that all staff members uphold proper hospitality standards.

Google
I cannot praise enough the Hotel Heritage. Along with being perfectly situated in Bruges (by the main square, but off a street so you're away from noise), the hotel itself is truly elegant and lovely, with a breakfast that was beyond compare during our trip, (which included travel to Paris, Bruges, Delft, and Amsterdam). Most important, however, the staff is warm and wonderful, always going out of its way to be helpful -- which was particularly needed after I suffered a bicycle accident in Bruges. Nathan -- who worked behind the front desk -- made certain I was cared for by always having a fresh ice pack and otherwise seeing I was cared for and comfortable. He also provided a wide range of other assistance and doing so while making us feel at ease and welcome like family. The rest of the staff was similarly warm, attentive and always helpful. Simply the best hotel experience we've ever had.

Yelp
Where to begin.... My favorite Hotel on the Planet. I travel from SoCal to Europe each holiday season for 3-4wks, always celebrating NYE in a dif city. So I've stayed in a LOT of 5star hotels. All have been grand but THIS hotel outshines them all. I have been here before - quick stays as a 'sidebar', over nighters. But this time decided on an extended stay. It's a smaller hotel, less than 20rpoms in total. But each is elegant & comfy & welcoming. Our suite is beautifully arranged with gorgeous roof top views and a sun deck for the 4 rooms on our floor. The unbelievably gorgeous restaurant is by night the amazing Le Mystique (wonderful food, elegant atmosphere, and the kindest, most attentive staff!! A MUST!!). and a beautifully done breakfast buffet by when the sun comes up. Their specialty is poached eggs and OH!! Are they 'special'!! Charcuterie & Sausages & Bacon & breads & fruits & grains & yogurts & cakes & juice & coffee & Champagne round out the delicious menu. The location is perfect! A 3 min walk to the main market place, 5 min to the main shopping area, and dozens of restaurants close by. A local food market is across & a bit down the street & Belgium Waffles are a hop away. But far and away.. the thing that separates this hotel from all others are those who seem to love working here. If I could figure out how to rate a review with 6 stars, I would give them 20. To say they are accommodating would be a bit like saying winning a hundred gazillion billion dollar lottery is 'a pleasant afternoon'. I could spend hours, remembering the kindnesses & smiles & attentive acts and never feel as tho I have given them enough respect. They are truly all just spectacular. Thank you, Mr & Mrs Creytens for creating such a wonder hotel. We are honored by our experience.

Yelp
There are simply not enough accolades of praise to do this hotel justice. Our stay was short but magnificent. I have never encountered a kinder, more attentive staff than that of the Heritage. The hotel location could not be more convenient. They offer valet parking, which feels necessary in Bruges, and for €30 a day - well worth it! The breakfast included in our stay also had champagne- yes- I said champagne. In the evenings a tray of port and sherry is brought to your room with a light snack as an aperitif, and gratis! The hotel restaurant - Le Mystique- was the superb fine dining experiences of my life. I cannot say anything negative about this hotel - it is just not possible. If I ever find myself in Bruges again, I will absolutely be staying here.

Yelp
The Relais et Chateaux Hotel Heritage in Bruges, Belgium is the most luxurious hotel I've ever had the privilege of staying in. I was greeted cheerfully by their well-dressed staff in an exquisite lobby and quickly escorted to the room. What the room lacked in size, it made up for in ceiling height, comfort, and technology. The bathrooms were floor to ceiling Carrera marble, the cushions were tufted velvet, and an iPad awaited to educate me on the neighborhood sites. The location, near the main town square, was perfect. There were good restaurants and bars within walking distance. I look forward to returning.

Yelp
This is the most wonderful place we've ever stayed. The staff is friendly, welcoming & helpful. The location is ideal - close to the square / Markt but on a quiet street. The accommodations are lovely, comfortable and include everything you could ask for. I recommend this location to anyone traveling to Bruges. We can't wait to return!

Yelp
Beautiful Hotel, great staff who you can communicate with, loved our room- top quality luxurious amenities. Surprised us with a red and white sherry with a mushroom spread/breadsticks at around 6:00 pm. Then at 6:15 we went downstairs to meet the owners hosting champagne and appetizers hand served . Isabel was there to greet us upon arrival as well as departure and even helped put our luggage in our car! Really down to earth and willing to jump in and do anything to please her guests. The dinner was incredible and our waiter was guiding ing us all along during the ordering process to make everyone's experience perfect. A few extra tastes before our main plate were a surprise. Don't miss out on the ceviche! Best ever.

Yelp
Perhaps the most exquisite dining experience I've ever had. Four course meal with wine pairing beat out the five course meal with wine pairing we recently had in Paris. The chefschoices balanced the taste. Particularly good was a Langostino that was almost sushi like. The prons that were cooked over a charcoal brought to the table, Kobe beef that had the consistency of butter.creams made of puréed vegetables such as basil cream, broccoli cream, have to be tried to be believed! The desert with something called strawberry lips. This was indescribable.
