"Hotel Herringbone, converted by Lucky Find Hospitality, is a shipping container space that now operates as a hotel in Waco. It houses the Red Herring restaurant and features a design that combines thematic materials with art deco touches, offering a slightly post-apocalyptic take on luxury." - Courtney E. Smith

Pretty groovy accommodation made from sea containers with a real arty kind of feel. The room was very cool and we enjoyed watching the hockey at the rooftop bar. Great location which allowed us to explore the local breweries on foot. They do have a small communal breakfast bar with some single serve cereals , which is handy, however during our stay the milk was not replenished.

My most favorite stay ever! I live in Waco but go down and stay quite often just for the vibe, drinks, food and activity. The rooms are top notch classy and cozy.. all made out of sea containers which is very cool and well done! I will continue to go back! O! and the snacks and drinks are complimentary in the room, you don't get charged for them after your stay! I'm all about the late night snackels!

We recently enjoyed a family trip to Waco and the Hotel Herringbone was a huge highlight for us! The two king bed room was spacious and well-appointed. My kiddos especially loved the shower and snacks, while my husband and I enjoyed the private patio out front. Everyone on staff was super warm and welcoming. We took advantage of the nightly happy hour and absolutely loved being able to walk to everything downtown. Our only complaint was that there was a DJ at the rooftop bar on one of the nights and we had a hard time getting to sleep as a result. Otherwise everything was fantastic and very memorable!! Highly recommend!

We spent a night at the Herringbone Hotel in Waco to celebrate a friend's birthday, and it couldn't have been more perfect! We requested a special surprise for our friend, and Courtney went above and beyond. She arranged a beautiful setup with balloons, bubbly, chocolates, flowers, and cookies — her attention to detail and excellent communication truly made the celebration unforgettable. The hotel’s location was incredibly convenient, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We also enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Red Herring — the food was delicious, the staff was attentive, and the atmosphere was just right. It was the perfect girls' getaway in Waco, and we can't wait to return!

I recently stayed at the hotel with a very good friend - we were in town for a Baylor basketball game. This couldn't have been a more perfect one-night stay. We walked two to three blocks to the stadium and back again after the game - location was perfect. We had dinner at their restaurant, Red Herring. It was EXCELLENT. Service was fantastic and the food was really top notch. The room was comfortable, quiet, and very easy to feel right at home. All in all, I'd stay here again over and over.

I came here for the first time a few months ago with some girlfriends and loved it so much that I brought my husband and our daughter back when we were in town for a concert at Foster Pavilion (which is within walking distance !) This will be our go-to spot now when we are in Waco. We love that it’s walking distance to the shopping at the silos, Fabled for coffee & reading, as well as many nearby restaurants! Also love the cute stores downstairs beneath the rooms! We enjoyed our free glasses of wine at happy hour. Really could go on and on! On top all of this, the icing on the cake for us was the hospitality we received. Our toddler somehow figured out how to use the phone in our room and dialed the front desk, asking them for cookies and chocolate. Not too long after we received the sweetest text and treats delivered to our door! We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to return!

We are Waco locals, and loved our one-night 'getaway' at Hotel Herringbone! The vibe and decor of the room was so unique, and it felt like a truly luxury stay with lots of character. The bathtub and shower were luxurious, and the A/C was nice and cold despite it being July in Texas. The Red Herring restaurant (our FAVORITE restaurant in Waco!), Songbird Charcuterie & Wine, and a lovely courtyard with several cute shops are on the 1st floor of the complex, with rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors, and Lucky Bucks rooftop bar on the top floor. Breakfast was just some cereal and milk, but there are tons of great places within walking distance for food, drink, and activities. Fabled (bookstore and cafe) is right down the street, as well as Clay Pot (Vietnamese), Mamaka Bowls (smoothie bowls), the Suspension Bridge and the Brazos River area, and of course Magnolia Market (and more) are all within close walking distance. The main drawback was that the hotel is right next to the train tracks that go through Waco - we were awakened during the night to the sound of the train horn and the rumble - but I know that is unavoidable. They did provide complimentary earplugs :) We truly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back!

Great service, everyone was great! Front desk to upstairs bar, the pizza was amazing! Highly recommend, I was not expecting the pizza to be so delicious. Cocktails were great at both downstairs and upstairs bar. Great location, a walk away from magnolia market and Dr. pepper museum is behind the hotel. Breakfast hotel provided was great.

Yelp
Great spot near the Silos. We did not stay there but ate in the restaurant. Great food, service and ambiance.

Yelp
The hotel is beautifully decorated. That is truly my favorite thing about it. There were a few Mrs in the room, including the light switch for the lights in the main part of the room are by the door so that's pretty far away from the bed. There was only one outlet by both queen size beds. One for all the beds. The TV did not work. They advertise that you got a free complementary room service breakfast. The only thing complementary was the delivery. The breakfast was also wrong. They said it came with sausage, but it came with bacon. There was no coffee either. The reason we booked for Friday night was so that we could enjoy the music at the Songbird. There was no music this Friday night. It was a lot of money for this day and I don't believe it was worth it..

Yelp
This was the absolute worst hotel experience I've ever had. We came here on our wedding night and greatly regret booking hotel herringbone. The hostess at the front desk was extremely unprofessional and rude. Upon checking in, we were ignored for several minutes by the hostess on her cellphone, then told they did not have a room available for us even though we had our confirmed booking details. We had to wait an hour for a room to be prepared, and it was not the room we originally booked. We ended up in a room so small that we could barely even walk around. We were also promised champagne & strawberries and an upgraded suite when we booked since it was our wedding night, but we received nothing. We are very disappointed in our overall stay, but mostly with the poor organizational structure of the facility and its staff.

Yelp
This is truly on my hit list. The next time I'm in Waco... This hotel has like everything, from shops, ballroom, etc. We visited the bar area at the very top and it was super aesthetic!!!

Yelp
Concept on paper is interesting and unique but there is a lot of room for improvement....mainly there is a DJ that plays on top of your room until at least 11 pm at night, (seems like they should feel you this before check in) the night we stayed there, they didn't stop until 11:25, and then they re arrange all the furniture on the rooftop bar until about 12:30, and then the train rolls through with an extra long horn at 1:30 am, so.....if you are planning on relaxing in your room or sleeping, you will not. I don't imagine that many people paying upwards of $300 a night not on a game weekend will be game for this experience, in addition....there is very limited parking, only about 10 spots, otherwise you are searching for street parking and they expect you to return your keys and if you don't, they charge you $5, place isn't for us, we won't be back.

Yelp
My parents stayed here for their 60th wedding anniversary. I did a lot of pre planning and Carrie was fabulous! She made sure they took care of all of my requests. My parents had the best time. They said they were treated like royalty! The staff was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The LOVED their dinner at The Red Herring where they enjoyed a seven course meal at the Chef's Table. I would highly recommend staying here!

Yelp
This place is amazing!!! It has everything one would need for a get away. Beautiful rooms, shops and entertainment. The rooftop bar Lucky Bucks is fun with great cocktails and a beautiful view! I can't say enough about the Red Herring~Superb service, the cocktails were perfection. I love the ambiance, and the shared concept. The food was amazing!!! I will definitely be coming back!!!!
