Hotel Hofgut Hohenkarpfen

Cannot fault the cleanliness, absolutely spotless. Bed very comfy, but duvet not the best, I didnt look,but felt like blankets folded into duvet cover as very heavy! Hair dryer from the 60's,gave up in the end & the towels have passed their best. Evening meal outstanding along with an excellent breakfast. Staff were lovely, very friendly. The views are to die for. We were on top floor, and although a huge room, all the character of the building was lost! fitted with loads and I mean loads of very "modern" cupboards. Why??Being on top floor, we had twisting narrow stairs, so with motorbike jackets, boots, helmets and bags not the easiest to navigate.

I absolutely love this place. The location is awesome, it's peaceful, in the middle of the nature with fantastic views! And the restaurant? Wow, it wasn't just a dinner, it was definitely one of the best experiences in my life - I'm a vegetarian and therefore I don't go to restaurants very often, because I usualy get some salad and that's all... but the pea ravioli with asparagus I had today, it was something incredible! Thank you so much, I can't wait to come back again! :)

We spent 1 night only here and were treated like long term guests by Francois and his team. I would like to think I set the bar high with the importance of service done in a way that is natural and makes the guests feel very welcome…the team here excelled! An anniversary event made special by the hotel location, service and food quality and friendliness of staff. Very special and one very worth experiencing yourself!

Interesting hotel in the middle of nowhere- with great view and great service. Check restaurant also - great meals and service. Bit pricey ( avg.50€ per person) but worth the view on thr terrace.

Awesome place, very good food, great service in a wonderful ambient. Have been coming here for almost 10 years and am enjoying it every time - will see you again in a few months...

Perfect place for a few days peace and quiet. |Very friendly reception and service.|Magnificent views with lots of interesting walks nearby. |The evening meals were a real treat - both for the eye and for the palate (optionally on the terrace or inside).|We were there in summer and our room was rather hot, but we were able to change without any difficulty to a cooler room which had meanwhile become available. |Price reasonable for the quality of the services provided.|Note: The hotel also caters for groups (seminars and weddings for example).

Well done! Uppet class fine dining at good value for money. One day.... back again. But unfortunately, Australia is not just around the corner from you. But be assured, the word is spread among my German Family and Friends. Visited 20 September 2024

Staff very accommodating, beautiful surroundings. Rooms were very well presented and modern. Bed linen was quite scratchy tho. Restaurant served great quality food. Continental breakfast was adequate and gluten free was catered for. Dairy free was a little bit harder to achieve.
