Hotel IKON Phuket

Excellent value. The room, bathroom, and balcony were large and clean. My girlfriend loved it. We were on an upper floor looking towards the beach. The sunsets were great. We used the pool which was good too. It is a fairly long walk to the beach, but there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby.

We moved to this hotel for 1 night after leaving another hotel after a night of no sleep. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful, ensuring us that our room AC would be suitable and we would have a restful stay. We sure did - the bed was extremely comfortable, the aircon worked well, whilst the room was well maintained and clean. We had a slight issue with the TV, and a friendly engineer appeared immediately and fixed it efficiently. Breakfast was good - great selection and eggs cooked to order; poached eggs were lovely, however, more fruit would have been good. Pool area was lovely, perfect for swimming and in the sun. Overall; would highly recommend especially for the price. Its basic, but clean with an efficient friendly service - all staff were lovely and friendly.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. There is a breakfast included option when booking and this was helpful each morning. They stock your room daily with Beer, pop, snacks, and water.|Cons: Location! It’s off a busy street that doesn’t have sidewalks. It’s a shuttle ride to the beach. I would have preferred to be closer and within walking distance to the beach. The pool is a chlorinated small pool with limited lounge chairs. There are three buildings (A, B and C). C has the best views but means 3 different elevators to get to your room. |Not what you picture when you think of a resort!

I hate giving negative reviews but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all. Booked it based on reviews but it just wasn’t to my tastes. Check in - was clumsy and just not very smooth at all. The room - getting to it was the biggest issue. The hotel has 3 buildings and you need to take 3 elevators and 2 walkways to get to building C. It really took ages. And the room itself was just bland and soulless. The beds were good. But the towels were pitifully thin. Location - the worst part. The hotel is over a km from the beach. Knew this beforehand but thought there was a shortcut walk. There isn’t! So it’s a long walk or wait for a taxi. Communal areas - boiling hot with no aircon anywhere. It was stifling. Felt sorry for the staff. Breakfast - was a high point. Breakfast is really good and plenty of choice. Restaurant - ate in the restaurant when a monsoon hit. Food was really good, service was good, and good value for hotel food. Finally, lasted one night and checked out to move elsewhere. Think that says it all. Sorry Hotel IKON but just not good enough.

Starting with positive side: stuff is exceptionally friendly and will do all your reasonable requests.We didn’t like the location: it was 25 mins walk from the beach on the road (though they have a bus to the beach, but not enough times). But the main problem were ants. They sprayed them while we were in the room, but ants returned anyway. In the room there was also a humid smell. Finally, the room wasn’t cleaned (we went out in the morning and returned by two, then left again at 4). Ah, the room itself isn’t new. So, I would recommend this hotel for more than 1-2 days stay.

Clean modern hotel, overall a very comfortable stay. Building layout was easy to get used to and find shortcuts via stairs. Did not feel location was a problem since it's so easy to get around Phuket. Special mention to Rapattorn who went above & beyond to help return jackets we had left behind in the closet! Express posted to us before we left the country- incredible!

A very nice and clean hotel close to Karon Beach. There are a supermarket and a fast food restaurant next to the door. A very nice local restaurant in the opposite famous for its Thai flavor noodles. It’s my second-time booking this hotel. Will recommend to my friends.

Average hotel-good value for price. It’s about 15minutes walking distance from the beach. Hotel provides free shuttle to the beach in the morning. Breakfast was included but was not satisfactory. There are good restaurants in the vicinity-15 minutes walking distance. Overall, an OK hotel if you’re planning to spend entire time at the beach or discovering the area.
