Austin’s Best Wine Clubs to Try Right Now - Eater Austin

"This downtown tasting room lets members choose the styles of wine (for example, dry red, sweet whites, mixed reds and whites), and the tasting room experts will choose wines from Texas winemakers. Members also receive 15 percent off purchases from the tasting room." - Erin Russell

The 6 Best Hotels in Austin (Updated 2025)

"Located in Downtown Austin so you can be close to most of the city’s attractions, this stylish, creatively designed hotel features a rooftop swimming pool and bar and a 24-hour fitness center. The colorful, spacious rooms include comfortable beds, a work desk, a flat-screen TV with premium channels, and luxury bath products in sizable showers, and it’s just a stone’s throw from the world-famous music venue Stubb’s — try to see a show there if you can." - Matthew Kepnes

I travel quite often for my job, BUT I tend to avoid staying at any downtown hotel like the plague. However, I chose to step out of my comfort zone and try Hotel Indigo in Downtown Austin and fell in love. Completely changed my view of all the downtown headaches. First, the service is incredible and very attentive, love the Lavazza machine in the room. The restaurant had delicious burger and fries, would definitely recommend eating there at least once. Good exercise area and nice rooftop pool and bar area. It's no secret that Austin has a homeless issue (which I pray those in need receive help) but honestly the area did not have many like the reviews I had previously read. The doorman to the hotel was courteous and welcoming. The location is great for walking to local eateries like Stubb's across the street and others. My only suggestion is to add commentary somewhere regarding checking in with front desk to provide your license plate number if you order the parking fee when booking. I didn't know to do this (unless I somehow overlooked it) and unfortunately had issues exiting the parking garage each time and had to call for help. So those traveling, if you pay in advance for the parking garage be sure to give your info to the front desk. Thanks Hotel Indigo and your staff for an amazing stay and changing my perspective of downtown hotel stays!! I will definitely be back!

Paid extra to have “City View”, didn’t receive that. I got a potty view and hotels.com and Hotel Indigo both refused to return the $100 difference. Fan in bathroom was broken. Hotels.com failed to mention the $50/A DAY PARKING AND $200 security deposit. Wasn’t prepared for those charges. The valet people were awesome. Super nice and helpful. Hotel staff not so much. Still workin on refund. 🤞Also one waffle was $18. Just a simple waffle w/little bit of fruit. Crazy. AND there’s no “Roof top” pool. It’s not on top floor. And one of the nights they were having “technical issues” and closed pool and pavilion early. No notice .

Absolutely incredible hotel!!! I absolutely love talking to the people of this hotel! They are super friendly, helpful hospitable, and treated me and my family like family! Johnathan Patrick Karl Kez and Jose are stellar team members, and made our stay such a pleasure! I cannot wait to come back here!

Staff are seriously incredible. Kez and Jonathan both helped to make this trip to Austin spectacular. Rooms are clean and tidy. I do wish I had a microwave in the unit, but for the price you can't ask for much more than we've got! Housekeeping and guest services alike deserve a mighty may raise.

Best part about this stay was The front desk agent, Jonathon. He was so attentive and so helpful, and extremely friendly. It’s always so refreshing to have somebody who’s friendly and it comes off so natural. The room was really nice, the only downside was the breakfast food. It tasted like food from a comfort inn. However, the valet was extremely friendly as well. And again shout out to Jonathon, I would stay again, just based off how friendly he was.

I have to say that in all honesty, while I am a long time IHG member and have stayed at a hotel Indigo before (and absolutely loved it.... probably one of my favorites of the IHG chain), I actually did not stay at this location. I booked a room here for my son but due to an issue booking through IHG and not the hotel, the staff was able to view and see what I was encountering and remedy the situation flawlessly! Because of their amazing and professional customer service I now look forward to my next trip to Austin and hope to meet the amazing staff face to face who assisted me a week ago last Sunday. Huge shout out to you Johnathan! Even with my busy schedule all week and this past weekend I did not forget your efforts and help! I wanted to make sure you got that 5 ⭐️review you truly deserve! Thank you again and hope to stay there soon!

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Indigo last weekend for a short weekend trip in Austin! We were very impressed with the size of the hotel rooms and how updated and nice they were. While we did enjoy our stay, we were very surprised to find out that Stubb’s BBQ directly across the street from the hotel has very loud music all throughout the weekend day and until 11pm at night. We were there on a Saturday night, so we’d expect some night life noise being downtown, however, we were shocked at how loud the music was. From the time we checked in until around 6pm, there was live rock music that would shake the room. The night concert went from 8pm-11pm, and was also very loud. Even with white noise and hotel supplied ear plugs, there is no way to avoid the volume of the concerts. While we did enjoy Hotel Indigo, we wouldn’t stay here again due to the location to the live music.

-10/10 | A Full-Blown Assault on Sleep, Sanity, and Basic Hospitality Hotel Indigo Austin is the kind of place that should legally come with a warning label. What they conveniently fail to mention is that the hotel is located directly in front of a blaring music venue that essentially turns your room into a vibrating speaker box. When we arrived, a full concert was underway and didn’t end until 11:30 PM. Just when we thought we could recover, the next day featured a sound check that dragged on for over two hours—as if their mission was to ensure we never forgot we’d made a terrible booking decision. From there, the stay continued to spiral: • Staff: Utterly uninterested. They operate with the enthusiasm of people who have emotionally resigned from their jobs long ago. • Housekeeping: Simply didn’t show up. No fresh towels, no trash pickup, nothing. Apparently, making beds is optional here. • Food: Stale enough to suggest it may have been prepared during a previous administration. • Air Conditioning: Sounds like an ancient washing machine in its death throes. • Mini Fridge: Emits a relentless humming sound capable of driving a sane person to madness. • Surrounding Area: The hotel is surrounded by a significant homeless presence, making venturing outside uncomfortable and, at times, unsafe. The entire experience can best be described as staying inside a migraine-inducing noise chamber while being slowly tortured by indifferent service, malfunctioning appliances, and the unmistakable taste of regret. Rating: -10 out of 10. If purgatory had a booking link, this hotel would be on it. I would rather sleep in my car during a thunderstorm than spend another night here.
