Belgrade, the gateway to the Balkans

"Set in a pedestrian-only district that’s home to high-end shopping and close to many sights, this local landmark pairs a prime location with interiors that pay a wry tribute to Belgrade’s history, offering rooms in two distinct styles: delicately ornamented Art Deco or playfully severe Brutalist-inspired digs." - Sarah Scaparone

"Indigo is IHG’s luxury boutique hotel brand, and the advent of the Hotel Indigo Belgrade marks a new maturity for the Serbian capital’s hospitality scene. The building is a local landmark, set in a pedestrian-only district home to some high-end shopping and convenient to a great many local sights; its interiors pay wry tribute to Belgrade’s history, offering two flavors of rooms: the delicately ornamented Art Deco option and the playfully severe Brutalist-inspired digs. It’s a unique hotel by any measure, right down to its restaurant, the Duke, which is devoted to the classic Serbian culinary tradition." - Tablet Hotels

I recently stayed at Hotel Indigo Belgrade and had a truly wonderful experience. The hotel is beautifully designed, combining modern comfort with authentic touches that reflect the character of Belgrade. My room was spotless, stylish, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful throughout my stay, always ready with a smile and great local recommendations. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The location couldn’t be better – right in the heart of the city, just a short walk to major attractions, restaurants, and the vibrant pedestrian zone. Despite being so central, the hotel still felt calm and relaxing. Overall, Hotel Indigo Belgrade exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. I look forward to staying here again on my next trip!

Not just in a fantastic central location in the wonderful city of Belgrade but a hotel with friendly and helpful staff. I couldn’t help noticing how well the pleasant trainee receptionist was treated while learning on the job. My room was compact and perfect with a well equipped bathroom - the shower had power with good temperature control. Breakfast was wholesome. There was plenty of fruit, fresh local bread and I was served a tasty vegetable omelette. I like Belgrade. It has a big city energy. Indigo does it proud.

Nice boutique style hotel. Accessed through the shopping area so no direct parking/car access. 5 minute walk from the main road and a lift to reception. Very friendly helpful staff. Great decor and well appointed room but the rooms lack light even with all lights on. Most rooms face the shopping area which is noisy if windows open. Room/hotel is hot so you need window open. Small dining room and bar that doubles for breakfast. Breakfast good but few choices and fruit not great. Blank labelled card on table shows freshly made food options, if you don’t open it you don’t know. Staff in the area don’t ask you what you want you have to make a point of approaching them, almost like if they don’t ask they don’t have to do it

This was a nice and quaint hotel in Belgrade. The room is a bit small and the hotel slightly hard to find, but it is in a great area of Belgrade, the room is clean and comfortable, and the staff were super friendly. It is in the touristy area of Belgrade (taxis cannot drive up to the front), so once you walk out, you are among the nice area to walk and enjoy. It was super convenient. The taxis can bring you to about 2 minutes away from the hotel (the rest is pedestrian only). The staff were amazing and friendly. The rooms were small, but quaint, clean and comfortable. I did not use the gym or breakfast, so no comment on those. But, the staff did provide a personalized note and some snacks upon check-in that was a nice touch. Strongly recommended if you visit Belgrade!

Google
Nice hotel in different aspects. First, the location is ideal - walking distance to many interesting tourist spots like : the fortress, St Sava church, the Place of the Republic, St Marc Church... Plus, you will be in the middle of the 2 busiest streets of the area : shops, restaurants, money changers... The room I had was located on the 5 floor under the roof. Small, nice and modern, nicely decorated. Bathroom is clean and convenient but lack of a shelf to put personal items. The breakfast is decent although there should be a bigger variety of breads. Yogurt will be welcome. Warm eggs/omelets are on request.. I had lunch at the restaurant once plus some desserts. Prices are a bit high and portion a little small. The strength of the hotel is the staff working at the reception. With me 100 % efficient and polite. It is a big plus for my stay there. 🙏

Lovely hotel, George at the front desk made me feel welcome and appreciated as an IHG Platinum member. He proactively offered early check in and got us into upgraded room. His colleague Filip was very helpful navigating around the city

This one is a mixed bag. The property is off the street through a maze of alleyways. A taxi can't come to front door for drop off or pick up so know in advance that you are going to carry luggage in and out.||The location is fun and it was very quiet while we were there. You walk through alleys to get to pedestrian streets lined with tourist stuff. It's a very easy walk to the big tourist sites. There is a lot of tourist food in the area. Since I'm talking about walking through alleyways - and in the US that would cause some concern - let me say that I never thought there was any sense of danger anywhere. It is a clean area and people are everywhere.||The room was decent - not great but decent. The shower was excellent. The wifi was good. But the A/C was not great. ||Bottom line - it was a decent option - not great - but a decent option in a great location.
