Blake’s Restaurant Opens in Hotel Indigo in Boston’s West End - Eater Boston

"While Blake’s is located within the hotel, they’re separate businesses; the Hotel Indigo is part of one of IHG’s hotel brands, while Blake’s is part of Atit Jariwala’s Bridgeton." - Dana Hatic

The most unbelievable hotel experience I have had in years! Just wow! They were engaging and extremely accommodating from the time we pulled up to the Valet. I wish I remembered the 2 gentlemen at valet with the big smiles but they deserve so much recognition. Sean and Sarah at the front desk were amazing as well holding our bags while we did brunch after checkout and offering to send us off with water to withstand the humidity. The night staff made you feel they truly cared about your stay in the area. The location was beyond convenient and never had to wait for check in, elevators, check out or even service at the restaurant downstairs. The rooms were clean to perfection and smelt so clean. Love the layout of the small kitchenette and the bathroom. The extra space was just what we needed. Super peaceful even though the event at TD Garden had the street alive like a parade. I can’t wait to stay there again and explore more. Literally my best Boston experience….

Google
The hotel is "tired" and could use a meaningful refresh. Rooms have cosmetic defects (chips in porcelain, small stains on carpet, etc.) throughout and the hotel is dimply lit which gives it a bit of a depressing vibe. The night staff in the bar restaurant was less than helpful when we arrived late and the restaurant tables hadn't been cleaned for some time. On the plus side, the front desk staff and cleaning personnel could not have been nicer or more helpful. They were wonderful in every interaction. The location is great for TD Garden and the North End. Room was adequate, although dated as noted above. The biggest problem is the price. This is not a $500-600 per night hotel by any stretch given its condition and small issues and even taking into account its very good location. It's a fine place to stay, but the value is nowhere near the price point they ask.

Google
Wonderful experience in this downtown Boston hotel. Was able to check-in early (and after a day of travel, this was most welcoming). Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Had a good night's sleep and the front desk even had "sleep kits" if needed. Grateful that hotel staff honored my request for a room away from vending & elevators. The hotel restaurant served a wonderful breakfast (and sometimes hotel restaurants are not always great). Checkout was easy. So I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who needs downtown Boston lodging.

Google
Wonderful hotel! We stayed here one night to attend the Wu Tang concert and were not disappointed. The service was fantastic. Liam at Blake's (restaurant/bar downstairs) was very welcoming and great for local info. The hotel is in a great location to the TD Garden, just around the block. Highly recommend.

Google
My family and friend really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Indigo Boston Garden. The King suite room was comfortable, the staff were genuinely warm and helpful, and everything about the experience felt easy. The location was great—right near all the best parts of the North End, but still peaceful. My friend had the lattes and avocado toast every morning in the restaurant and loved them. We also made good use of the water cooler in the workout room downstairs (we did not work out, but they have some good equipment down there!) Every front desk associate we interacted with was professional, kind, and welcoming. We all agreed we’d be happy to stay again.

Google
The location is perfect. Easy walking to North End, Boston harbor- wharf. The front attendant Edison was the best. Very personable and made our stay that much more pleasant. Right across from the garden, restaurants and the Star Market - which is a huge supermarket with wine and spirits. Would definitely recommend and would stay again in future. ||Hotel clean and provided nice toiletries. Small gym that has everything you need for a good workout ||Also has a restaurant and bar connected to it.

Google
I’ve never bothered to leave a good review, but this hotel was the best experience I could have had. The location is awesome and it was the cheapest option inside downtown. The room is more spacious than others I’ve had in this city and other cities. The staff helped perfectly with an early check in and luggage storage.

If you are looking to visit Boston, MA for business and looking for a hotel to lodge at, this hotel definitely will go above and beyond your expectations. Our team was in Boston on business and lodged here and the service was impeccable. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by the personnel at the front desk with a wonderful welcome. The hospitality at the bar was great too! No long wait time but prompt service. Great location for numerous restaurants that are all in walking distance from the hotel. The rooms are exceptionally clean and room service is great! Great stay and looking forward to returning! Mel

Yelp
This is THE prime location and is accessible to all transportation. This is a boutique hotel with a big personality. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel with a bar. The rooms are nice with updated fixtures. They offer valet, and there are a ton of restaurants and shops in the area.

Yelp
Modern, lean and in good condition. Only thing is that it's small but it does look upscale. It must have been residential at 1 time or another. Patrick checked us in and was friendly and polite. So far everything is up to standards!

Yelp
This place is in a great location if you're going to a game. Their service staff is also amazing and very quick. The elevators are a little small and the rooms are slightly dated, but still quite nice. The beds were very firm and comfy so I appreciated that. For the price, I think it's good but I do feel they should have had more staff on for the 4 Nations face off. Also, we had a little disagreement with the manager on duty which made me more disgruntled than it should have. When we checked in, we were given a paper and the woman at the desk told us that we got either breakfast or snacks/drinks. We thought that was nice and went on about our business. The next morning, we went to the restaurant and they said that we needed the vouchers before we could order so I walked over and asked about it. Then was told by Patrick Strong at the desk that we didn't have them. I was confused obviously and let him know that we were told the day before about it and were given a paper. He then asked how I got the paper and why I thought we should have breakfast vouchers. Then asked who the woman was that I spoke with. I let him know what she looked like and that we had the paper upstairs. He was really short with me and I got very red-faced because it felt as thought he implied that I was lying. I would have been fine if he said that the woman made a mistake or gave us vouchers for the mistake. Either way - I wasn't too hung up on the vouchers themselves, but we were told it was included and then I was told that I made an error and must have taken the paper from someone else which pissed me off a little. The rest of the stay went well and check out was smooth.

Yelp
This hotel was AMAZING! The staff were so friendly and extremely helpful. I had a great time at this hotel. The doormen and concierges (Edison and Tati). I appreciated all the recommendations from the staff on where to go while visiting. Our room was actually bigger than I thought. Bathroom spectacular. Only thing is we didn't really have a window. There was a building in the way so sunlight was not a thing but it was still a good room.

Yelp
I headed to my favorite city to see my favorite hockey team for my birthday, and what better location than Hotel Indigo Boston Garden. The staff were fabulous and I was greeted with a little birthday treat upon entering my room. My room faced Causeway Street, and it did seem a bit noisy at first; however, I used the sound machine that is thoughtfully included in each room and slept like a baby. I didn't need the complimentary sleep kit available at the front desk. I can't wait to stay here again!

Yelp
If you like the coziness, clean, attentiveness of a boutique hotel, you will love this experience in a perfectly located spot. It's on the edge of the West End that borders the North End. Hotel Indigo-Boston Garden is literally in front of THE Garden. It's within walking distance of the must explore North End for all things Italian, the latter part of the Freedom Trail (Paul Revere's house, USS Constitution, and Bunker Hill), the Harborwalk in Charlestown, and a tour of the Garden for all sports fan. I think that we were collectively skeptical of the area when we arrived. This street looked a little sketchy, and they had mini kits for a quiet nights rest, when you checked into the hotel. We discovered that during game days this place gets loud, and the corner pizzeria is popular all night long. I never worried for our safety though. It just appears to be more of an adult area of town. Also, it's the perfect location to catch the rail to explore other parts of Massachusetts; in fact, the North Station is also at the Garden, which is the cheapest way to get to Salem (more on that later). We highly recommend this hotel. Blake's is attached to the hotel. They make a great cappuccino, and it's good spot to get a late night snack or breakfast. We seemed to gravitate to the super comfy barstools to share about the exploring we did that day, plan for the next day, and chat with locals. The bartenders were always super nice as were other hotel staff and throughout Boston. Note to self: Ask about food vouchers, when we stay at our next Hotel Indigo. Travel tips: *Take a pair of broken in walking shoes. This is a great walking city. *Take an umbrella. You never know when a shower might pop up on your stroll. *Take the free bottled water offered each day by Hotel Indigo Boston-Garden. This was just a welcomed and thoughtful touch by the hotel. *Take a sweater or light jacket because even in the summer, it can feel a little chilly in the early mornings and evenings.

Yelp
The Indigo was incredibly affordable. Our concierge, Duke, was very helpful and friendly even when we checked in at 2am. The doormen were also very helpful, carrying our luggage to our Uber as well. We love that they're pet-friendly too ($75 one-time fee). There's a bar/restaurant (Blake's) open late in the lobby if you're hungry. Indigo is also in a great location, within walking distance to Pauli's, Neptune's, Hub Hall, TD Garden (the latter two are a 2 min walk), etc. It's also only a 20min drive to Logan airport if you're flying in. While a bit dated, the King room was spacious and furnished, coming equipped with a large (55') TV, coffee maker (and keurig pods), mini fridge, microwave, sink, closet, ironing board+iron, safe, and desk. It's also very well-lit (counted 5 lamps in addition to the overhead ceiling lights) and clean. A/C and ventilation works well. Bed is large and very comfortable with multiple full-sized pillows; side tables have alarm clocks, 3-prong outlets, and multiple usb ports for charging. Internet is surprisingly fast, or at least usable. There's also a fitness room downstairs, which I wasn't able to check. Bathroom is nearly resort-like; full-sized mirror, large walk-in shower with soap/shampoo dispensers, toiletries, lots of fresh towels, and extras (e.g. blow-dryer). Overall, I'm very impressed and pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The Indigo is of course missing a few things to make it perfect (a pool, free continental breakfast, etc), but really, I'm nitpicking. I was expecting the bare minimum since we only planned to stay here a few days, but if all my other hotel visits were like this, I'd travel far more.

Yelp
Should have coffee downstairs and capuchino machine was broken. Room was small and no free breakfast. Was a nice stay but nothing special

Yelp
Second time staying and I still love it. Staff is very friendly. Bed and pillows are amazing. Great location for TD garden. Short walking distance to North End and Faneuil hall.

Luke D.

Yelp
Tiny room for the price. No room safe to store valuables. Staff was pleasant and room was clean at least. Not a great location. We booked without doing more homework on Boston hotels. Our bad!

Yelp
I booked a "suite" for two nights. While it was pretty roomy it was seriously lacking in furnishings and comfort. It was dark, even with all the lights, few that there were, on. The living area has only a small sofa and a sort of footrest and a small cheap side table. See pics. For the price and area (there's plenty of room) they really should spring for a coffee table an actual side table, a small chair and a lamp. The kitchen area was also lacking. Fridge cranked up all the way only got moderately cold. It also needs a microwave. Be aware that the walls are thin. You can clearly hear your neighbor's phone conversations. On the plus side, The front desk staff is very nice and helpful

Yelp
Stayed one night, Saturday into Sunday. Nice staff. After arriving in our room, we found some blood stains on the sheets that were hidden by the fold of the blanket when the bed was made. We went down to advise the staff and they immediately moved our rooms. They agreed it was unacceptable and couldn't have been nicer about the situation. After the incident, the room was really nice, soft bed, and decent pillows. Shower was nice, but the handlebar knobs were a little confusing, and the sink pressure was basically at a 10, where the shower was about a 7. Checking out was a breeze and they held our bags for us as we went out for the morning. What could use the most improvement is the elevator. Even going from the first to second floor was shaky as it tried to lock on to the door, then when we were moved to the fifth it was worse. We tried to limit our time in the elevator because it at times felt unsafe. Taking away the blood incident and the elevator, this was a really nice hotel. Recommend for a night in Boston!

Yelp
Kudos to manager Patrick Strong who reached out to discuss the issues. Hotel would still be too noisy for me, but glad he was open to criticism. I suppose if you're there for a basketball or hockey game, concert perhaps it would be a good place, that wasn't what I was looking for. I did enjoy walking across the street to Starbucks and Mikes Pastries. So I will amend my star rating based on that.

Ken S.

Yelp
Centrally located, room was quaint and clean. Would not stay again for the sheer reason that the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. Through the night you think people are entering your room as they are simply opening there door next door or down the hall. Worst part about the stay was the street noise. Boston late at night, while you're cozying lying in bed, the last think you want to hear are homeless people fighting outside your window, screens of drugged out people down the street, and trash trucks. The front desk clerks were great, the parking was expensive, but the valet people were friendly and nice.

Yelp
We loved our stay at the Indigo! We were in town for a few days for a concert and a hockey game (birthday weekend!). Unbeknownst to me, my husband called ahead and asked to have flowers and champagne waiting for us. The flowers were lovely, the champagne was wonderful and they even made a swan couple for us! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was scrubbed-with-a-toothbrush clean and very modern (pro tip - push the button on the shower regulator for hotter water). The location is perfect - right across the street from TD Garden/North Station. The street noise is what it is, but when we closed the door to our bedroom we literally heard NOTHING from outside - it was quite magical. There is a restaurant in the lobby - we loved it there and Tabitha, the server/bartender was amazing. Good food (though when we were there it had just recently reopened and the menu was limited) and drinks - if you don't see what you like on the drink menu, let Tabitha make you something wonderful - she won't disappoint you! My understanding is that the hotel was hard hit by the pandemic and that the new management made some wonderful changes - you owe it to yourself to ignore the poorer reviews and check it out anew!

Yelp
Can't say enough great things about this hotel...lcoation...location...location..YES!!! If you are going to an event at TD Garden...get off at the nearest MBTA train station (North Station- orange line)...and the hotel is literally half a block away...you can't beat this!!! The staff UNBELIEIVABLE from check in to check out....AWESOME!!! I also didn't realize- but this is IMPORTANT---doors are locked after 12:00am and the only way to get in is with a room card. There is a person in the lobby but it helped to know that not just anyone can get in...... Unfortunztely, we didn't have time to sample the delicious menu for breakfast - we were in a rush to get the AMTRAK train back home.. :(.... We were on the 5th floor- super quiet...I liked that we were next to the stairs.. Far away from the elevators. Rooms were super nice/clean...like the idea of even a sink in the counter...it's the little things like this that make the hotel a good place to stay. Would go again...It's pricey but worth every penny! :).

Kathy C.

Yelp
We picked this hotel because it's right across the street from the train station. The location is perfect - a 10 minute walk to the North End for delicious Italian food. Check in was smooth. The manager, Patrick, checked us in himself. He was extremely professional, yet warm and welcoming. The doormen/valets were also very charming. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good Boston experience.

Yelp
A friend and I stayed here for a few nights and it was really nice. The room was super spacious and had a decent coffee maker. The bathroom was also large and comfortable. The beds were comfortable. The hotel is very close to the north train station and public transportation. The hotel was a bit expensive for what it was, but it was overall clean and comfortable.

Yelp
Hotel Indigo's are usually our go tos when it comes to hotels, but this one was a disappointment. The location is ideal for sight seeing, but the noise level at night is terrible. Right beside the hotel is a towny bar where the crowd gets a little rowdy at night. Unless you're a heavy sleeper, I wouldn't recommend staying here. The hotel itself is clean and has recently been renovated. How we couldn't get past the noise level at night.

Yelp
The staff is so friendly and helpful. I arrived an hour early and was prepared to wait at the bar but was immediately checked in. My room was awesome, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud, the shower was SO nice. There was a fridge, microwave, sink and coffee/tea maker. Everything was clean, fresh and bright. The food from the restaurant was delicious. The location is so convenient, within walking distance to numerous restaurants, bars and historical sites. Right across from the Gardens and metro. I will absolutely use on my next visit to Boston.

William D.

Yelp
Stayed in early April. Everything was fabulous, and the staff was incredible! Above and beyond in every way. Will definitely go back!

Fred J.

Yelp
Very nice, boutique like hotel in a great location if you are attending a game or event at TD Garden (2-minute walk). Room was clean and the staff was very pleasant. My only complaint is the $64 PER NIGHT charge to valet park. I didn't realize that it cost that much until I got home and looked at my invoice. This is absolute robbery. There is absolutely NO conceivable reason for ANY hotel to charge THAT much to simply park and retrieve your car. Total rip-off. Despite the blatant price gouge on the valet parking, I would stay there again (and self park obviously) and I would recommend it to anyone else.
google avatar

Tara R.

Yelp
Booked this hotel for two nights to celebrate my boyfriend's 40th birthday. Great location and staff. Bed was comfortable. Price was also decent for the area. Would have been five stars if bathroom was a little cleaner and there was a fan in the bathroom. Otherwise, great stay. Room had a cute little refrigerator which was nice. The room was about the size you'd see in Europe.
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
A hip boutique hotel across the street from the TD Garden. My room was modern and spotless. Everything worked like it was supposed to. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great. Faneuil Hall, the North End, Quincy Market and Union Oyster House are all close by. There's a Starbucks and Dunkin' a block away. Note: There's no overnight on-site parking and there's some construction on the block, so street parking outside the hotel can be sparse. Their website suggests a public garage down the street at a rate of $42/night. If you sign up for a parking garage finder like ParkWhiz (or a similar app) you can do much better than that. I ended up paying $19 for 24 hours at a valet garage two blocks away. Bottom line, I really liked the hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Yelp
Giving this place 4 for the hotel, location, value. 3 stars for experience. If you are looking for something affordable and clean- this is the place for you! Cute trendy spot! Bed was comfortable and soft. I stayed here during Labor Day weekend by myself and never felt uncomfortable during my stay. Location is okay. It took me about 15 min walking distance to get to places like Boston common. You can definitely get to a lot of places walking. 3 stars for the experience. First when I checked in, I arrived at approximately 4:45pm and the receptionist told me that the room wasn't ready- they were still cleaning it and she would call me when it was ready but didn't have an estimated time when it would be done. Check in is at 4pm. I get it during COVID times are tough. I left and she called me back about 15 min after. When I got to my room the door was cracked open. wished staff would of payed more attention because what I already had my stuff in the room? Something to keep in mind. The last night when I got back to my room. The room was very warm. It was 81 degrees. I tried to turn it down but didn't seem to be blowing cold air. Since it was late night and I was tired- I didn't call it in I just decided to fall asleep as best as I could. The next morning I asked at the front desk about the room and front desk told me that all the AC was broken but they were trying to resolve it as quickly as possible. I could hear others complain about the AC. Overall if you are on a budget, I would say give this place a try.

Pat P.

Yelp
The Indigo Hotel was one of the better hotels I've visited. Rooms were very clean. No microwave but one was provided in 10 minutes. Unfortunately, I left my wallet in the nightstand, but Patrick the manager got it to me. Eddie the bellman was always on the ball and helpful. I'd stay there again!

Yelp
I've never had a worse hotel experience. I bought this as a gift for my mom as she was going to a concert across the street. I call to make my payment ahead of time and am given the walk around 3 times before someone can actually help me make a payment over the phone... I of course can not be the first person to want to pay ahead of time. My mom gets there and the hotel room is like a sauna. Staff can't seem to help. She sleeps with the window open all night in December.... great. The next morning it took two hours for her to get her car back from valet. Brought back 3 different cars before hers, all which they tried to hand her the keys to drive away with. My card was charge 3 times for the room and then a mysterious 100$ on top of that. I recommend anywhere but here. Brittany was the only human there competent enough to have a conversation with me.

Jo-Ann M.

Yelp
Tabitha is the best barmaid evah! Great location, very clean and friendly I would highly recommend

Yelp
Though centrally located, it has Expensive parking, poor air conditioning, very loud surrounding areas and thin walls.

S W.

Yelp
Flood in room above ours which caused the ceiling in our room to collapse with water all over our stuff. Moved to a different room that was basically a closet and not the room type we rented. Never contacted by hotel staff to see if our stuff was damaged (water came in on $350 wireless headphones). Front desk staff kept telling us the manager would call to "take care of us". Never heard from him. Rooms (we were in three of them in a four day period) were not clean. Third room we were put in (after demanding to be moved from the closet room) had a leak at the bathroom sink so the floor was wet all the time.

Yelp
Nice place with clean enough rooms. Seriously overpriced. The gentleman who was working the night shift was exceptional and deserves to be recognized for his excellence. He is the only saving grace to this hotel. The man who was working in the morning when we checked out was rude to put it mildly. We came to call him the "Bald Eagle," seeing as how we never could find out his name. He would only interact with certain people leaving the rest of us to feel like outcasts who were bothering him. He also would not give one of our party a late checkout and refused to say why. (He did say another room could have it, but not the one who needed it) The contractors they use for parking could use a little education in the way parking works at this hotel as well. We had one tell us we could park in a particular place only to be later told we would be guaranteed to be told if we left our vehicle there. Thankfully we were told this before we went to bed for the night. For the price, this place just isn't worth the effort.
google avatar

Critic M.

Yelp
really nice hotel and great room. Friendly customer service. My big complaint is that I was told they would be able to park our van in a lot for us but when we got there it was a different story. We were told the lot couldn't accommodate our van and we were given the location of a lot that could. We drove it there but they told us there weren't any more spots left for a van. We finally found a lot but it wasn't easy. They should have told us the lot couldn't accommodate a van on the phone when I made the reservation.
google avatar

Jake C.

Yelp
Valet parking was our biggest problem with this hotel. Guests are supposed to leave their cars in the middle of the street with their emergency lights on and wait for valet to come by. This procedure makes no sense to me because other cars passing through the street need to practically drive on the sidewalk to get around the mess of cars waiting for valet. The front desk did not describe any parking fee to us. Paying $50 for parking on top of the room price seemed unfair and ridiculous. When we finally got our car back from valet, there was a McDonald's french fry in the console. This french fry was not there when I handed my keys to valet the previous day. THE VALET TOOK MY CAR TO MCDONALD'S FOR FRENCH FRIES AT SOME POINT. I don't eat french fries in my car so I know for a fact that the valet misused my car. This place is unorganized and stressful. I don't recommend it.

Ava C.

Yelp
Unreliable valet. Rude staff. Did not put my car where they said it was. It did not just happen to us as well. Multiple families had the same issue. Not worth the $65

Yelp
I travel about 100 nights out of the year and honestly have never had such an odd unprofessional number of incidents occur in one stay. Before this stay I have never felt unsafe in a hotel. I checked into room 206 around 10:30PM opened the door and there was a female occupant already in my room startled and unpacking. She was very disturbed by my entrance into her room and told me she almost assaulted me with her pepper spray. I went back down to the lobby told the woman at check in and she gave me another room. This time room 303. I went to sleep and around 12:15am my door opened. There was a man with a suitcase adamant that I was in his room yelling and screaming to get out of his room. I told him I had been in this room and he stormed off. About 5 minutes later My door was opened again. (The slide was across). I looked through the peep hole a man in a red valet jacket was knocking on my door claiming to be security asking me to let him in. I told him to have the front desk call me and I wasn't opening the door. He continued to linger out front for a few minutes and finally left. No one from the front desk called me and needless to say I did not sleep well. The next morning I checked out at 7:00 AM and requested I speak to the manager. The front desk clerk said the manager was not in and said he would relay my story but he had been the person to send Valet up to my room to sort out the wrong room. He did not seem concerned or even to care about what had occurred. Since then I have called the hotel twice and emailed them and they have been unresponsive. This hotel is unsafe and poorly managed if they give wrong key cards out twice in the matter of a few hours.

Lori Q.

Yelp
Overall is good. But we were given a room that was occupied by others?!?! Luckily no one was present in the room. Of course we got a different room and complimentary breakfast. Room is cute and clean. Location is convenient across the street from North Station. You can hear the noise though.

Yelp
I stayed at the Hotel Indigo for five nights and had a fantastic experience. The staff was very attentive and responsive, especially Brittany who gave me great recommendations and was very helpful. My room was very clean and comfortable. Check in and check out were very quick and easy. The hotel is in a great location, a few minutes walk from the T and a short walk to the North End and Faneuil Hall. To be honest, the rates are a bit high on the website itself, but I got a really good deal on a third party site so I was very satisfied with what I paid for. I'd definitely stay here again.

Yelp
I am giving this place a five star review mostly for Lisa at the front desk. Now do not get me wrong the rest of the staff was also hard working and polite. I just had worked with her more. She was incredibly helpful and kind. She is absolutely amazing at what she does! Hotel Indigo you are so lucky to have her. Super convenient if you are seeing anything at Big night Live or TD ! So close!

Yelp
I would definitely stay here again because it's right near the Amtrak trains. It's a "green" hotel that doesn't have 20 little plastic bottles of shampoo, etc and bars of soap. I was able to attend a work zoom meeting in the conference room before checkout. Great staff. Nice hotel all around.

Yelp
Love how the employees just keep posting fake reviews with 5 stars what a way to lie! Don't believe me? Watch how most negative posts dissappear and a shitload of generic named reviews show up

Yelp
We love this place. It is clean, the staff if nice and the valet guys are great. Although it can get a bit loud at night, it is just steps away from the TD Garden, very convenient for Bruins games. This is the only place we stay when going to games

Yelp
Pros: room is spacious and decently clean but not amazing Cons: staff not wearing masks till guests are in the building/some staff not covering there noses. Super slow elevator.

Yelp
So I really don't get where all the negative reviews are coming from. The room I stayed in was much larger and more updated than most of the other hotels I've stayed in while in Boston. The staff were all very nice and Check-in/out was quick and easy. The bed was comfortable and the WiFi was fast and reliable. This hotel is directly across from TD Garden/ North Station meaning that it will of course be loud outside if you're staying here during a game or concert. The only thing taking this from a 5 to a 4 is the bathroom is tiny with poor water pressure. Other than that I would gladly stay here again.

Yelp
I would call this hotel "below average". Yes, it was cheap and a good location* (see details below), but it was a bit below my expectations. When I arrived (around 10pm on a Friday night), the door was locked. I was very confused as to how to enter. After several seconds, I noticed the front desk employee waving me in - he remotely unlocked the door so I could enter. The check in process was fine...took a tad longer than usual, but not problematic. I took the elevator up to my room. My first reaction to the room was "damn, this is warm". It was at least 75 degrees in there. I quickly located the thermostat. It was kind of coming off the wall... I turned it down about 10 degrees, but I opened the window to expedite cooling. I could still feel the radiator turned on several minutes after lowering the thermostat, so I'm not convinced it was actually functional. The door to the room was also a little difficult - it didn't close easily, so I had to double check it coming/going. Aside from that, the room was fine. I went out to a bar on Friday night and returned around 2am. I noticed a couple of people waiting outside the hotel door and wondered why they hadn't used their keycard to enter. Upon walking up to the door, one of them said "let him follow you in, say he's your friend and let him go to the bathroom". That was pretty discomforting and I definitely have never had that happen before at a hotel. The street that this hotel is on is not the best area. It's right by TD Garden and North Station. On Saturday night, there were people screaming at each other outside on the street for several minutes when I was trying to go to bed (and I had to have the window open because it was too hot inside). That was very disruptive. Definitely not a good place for peace and quiet. Lastly, when I checked out, I asked the front desk employee if my luggage (just a backpack) could be held for a few hours and he said he'd take care of it (and gave me a ticket). He asked me to place the bag on a chair in the lobby and stated that he'd take care of it. After checking out, I grabbed a complimentary doughnut and sat down in the lobby to eat it (and to make sure my bag was actually put somewhere safe). I ate my doughnut and browsed on my phone and watched the employee check out a handful of other guests in between crumpling pieces of paper and shooting them into a trash basket from a distance. After a full 30 minutes, I approached him again asking if my bag would be put somewhere safe and not just left in the lobby. He then (finally) took care of it so I could go exploring for a few hours prior to my departure. So, overall, not great. Below average. Close to transportation and TD Garden, but also not the safest area and definitely a loud one. Oh, and Priceline, Expedia, Orbitz and others - this is not a 4 star hotel. Try again.

Yelp
Service perfect. A bit noisy but we are downtown. Reasonably priced. Beds are comfortable. Room is clean. I would stay here again

Yelp
If I could give it a 6 star I would. Front desk people were friendly and super helpful. Recommended local eateries in lieu of the typical tourist places. Had probably the best meal I have ever eaten in my life thanks to Emily at the front desk. Super convenient location right across the street from the main subway station. Walking distance to most everything you would want to see as a tourist. To make it even more awesome, my 15 yo son left his wallet with his driving permit and $32 in it, in the bed. We received the wallet back in the mail with all the money still in it. Honest, truthful, trustworthy hotel and workers!

Yelp
Great place to stay in Boston! Close to everything and the staff were friendly. Room was clean. No breakfast but not a big deal. Parking was difficult and hotel does not have designated lot. Overall worth the comparatively reasonable price!

Yelp
Restaurant was out of service. Bed was harder than a rock. Nice clean room with good service and a small kitchen with variety of teas and coffees. Room was two hours late being cleaned but they allowed us to leave our bags with them.

Yelp
Just got back from a trip to Boston and had to share my wonderful experience with this place! We landed at 6am but check in wasn't until 3pm. We decided to just go to the hotel to leave our bags at the front desk and find something to do until check in. The night auditor Ducarmel Pierre was there to greet us. He was so kind and helpful AND he ended up getting us into a room right then which was the best surprise and best start to our trip!! Everyone was so nice and helpful throughout our whole stay. The hotel itself was super clean and cute!! The location was prime. Thank you guys so much!!! 10/10 would recommend this place!!!
