Hotel Indigo Cardiff (Cardiff, UK) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The Hotel Indigo brand is a far-ranging and diverse collection overseen by IHG, which is by any measure a giant of corporate hospitality. But hotels like the Hotel Indigo Cardiff are evidence that corporate ownership doesn’t necessarily imply corporate style. This hotel, after all, could hardly be more painstakingly tailored to its location — from its prominent setting on Cardiff’s city-center Queen Street to the surfeit of local color incorporated into its interior design." - Tablet Hotels

Great location in the centre of the city. Rooms were clean, nice pillows, bathroom had some nice touches like bathrobe, etc. Very quiet so had a good nights sleep. I managed to book the room at a competitive price. It was cheaper than the premier inn! Would recommend.

Everything about this Hotel is perfect!... the location is just a stone throw to every cool spot including the train station, the room aesthetic is fantastic from one of the cleanest bathrooms i have been in to the lovely brown and orange curtains...then the bespoke interior decorations... Amazing. |Then we had breakfast and I concluded that this is a must stay agin and again!!!!. With a wide variety to choose from and the 100% fruit and vegetable smoothies ...just so satisfying. |The staff in the front desk and the restaurant was so helpful and polite too. !!!|We had stayed for my daughter's graduation from the university and it was a perfect icing on the cake for us.... we really didn't want to leave ....|Thank you Hotel Indigo...you will see us again.... soon!!!

I really like the Indigo Hotels, never had a bad experience and usually they are well above average. At first I thought this might be the first time I would not be able to say this. We checked in and there was a cleaning issue with our room. I talked to the desk person, Georgia, and explained the situation. She reminds me of why I will continue to book Indigo hotels. Georgia was apologetic, as expected, but then she came to our room immediately and cleaned everything quickly and made the room perfect. Not only that, she made it seem like we were not just guests but family. Sometimes things happen but its how the establishment handles issues that make all the difference. ||Our room was comfortable, the beds were beyond comfortable, and the general decor was both quirky but relaxing. The room we were in was quiet at all times even when the surrounding streets were filled with people. For those wondering, it did have air conditioning. The location is surrounded by every kind of shopping you could want, many very good restaurants and is within walking distance of the castle and national museum. We had to take a taxi to get to the waterfront but it was a short ride.||We tried the restaurant and were the only people eating during the dinner time. That could be bad but no! Food was great and the bartender recommended a perfect beer for me and my meal. The service was always just right and very accommodating. Breakfast continued this with both a generous buffet and the ability to order something special off the menu. Just excellent food all around.||Would absolutely stay here again!

Great hotel, this is the second time I have stayed, difficult to find if you don’t know where it is, in a small boutique shopping arcade in the pedestrianised street. Very friendly helpful and polite staff. Rooms were clean, quiet and quirky, a comfortable bed, plenty of towels, and tea and coffee kit. |As a woman travelling alone I felt safe. |Breakfast was nice and varied and there were some cook to order items which was a nice touch. My only complaint was the buffet breakfast was not hot and the plates were also not heated. |Overall a good stay and will stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The location is superb, right in the heart of the city, 2 minutes walk from the castle and the St. David's centre. It's a beautiful little boutique hotel. The room was huge and quirky. A lovely rocking chair in the corner and beautiful decor. Amazing shower! The staff were super friendly and efficient. The rooftop bar is definitely worth a visit with amazing views over the city and a great selection of drinks. Fabulous breakfast. The room we had was at the back of the hotel, so super quiet despite being in the city. Great value for money. We were very impressed that we found this hotel and will definitely return!

Cool, funky hotel. Good size, comfortable, clean rooms. The location is awesome for sightseeing. Check out the nearby market for breakfast for lunch. The Castle is a short walk. Staff was helpful and friendly. If you arrive by car the entrance is a little sketchy on an alley behind the hotel. It's because the front of the hotel is on a pedestrian plaza. It seems weird compared to the grand entrance of most hotels, but it actually works out great being on the pedestrian mall. Parking is in a separate ramp nearby. Room rates were great. Overall very happy with our stay.

Perfect location, albeit a bit hidden as in a shopping arcade. Pedestrianised so quiet for a great sleep in very comfortable beds. Room as hotel quirky. Room had everything you needed, and breakfast was one of the best ever. Rooftop bar is a great place to relax and open until midnight. Definitely stay again when in Cardiff.
