Hotel Jen Beijing by Shangri-La

Stayed at Jen Beijing by Shangri-La from 16-20 October 2025. If you want sleek, modern, and excellent location, this nails it. If you're after warm, personalized service, look elsewhere.The room was spotless and contemporary. Location is unbeatable, sitting right on top of an upscale mall. Daily fruit delivery was a lovely touch that showed someone's thinking about guests. The vibe is youthful and high-energy throughout the public spaces.Fair warning for introverts or anyone seeking a quieter luxury experience: the lobby is bright, colorful, with a full wall of screens and constant foot traffic from the mall below. The gym is a commercial one open to non-guests, so it's busier and less exclusive than typical hotel fitness centers.The rooms themselves are quiet and peaceful, a nice contrast to the lively common areas. But overall, staff interaction is minimal. You're essentially paying for excellent facilities and location, not personalized hospitality. No one greets you by name, remembers your preferences, or checks in on you. It's efficient and polished, but transactional.If you want attentive service where staff make you feel looked after, this isn't it. But if you prefer a stylish, self-sufficient base with great amenities and don't need much human contact, Jen Beijing delivers well. Four stars for what it is, just make sure it's what you're looking for.

Stayed for two nights before our flight out of the country, as the hotel is conveniently located near Beijing Capital Airport. Overall, everything was good and up to the Shangri-La standard. However, the front desk staff who checked us in was rather cold and seemed to be just going through the motions. In contrast, the other service staff we encountered throughout our stay were polite and warm. The breakfast spread was excellent, with a nice variety that included local selections.

Hotel is super modern, clean and in a great location. The hotel itself is in the more modern part of Beijing (which I personally prefer) while still being in a convenient location for all the important sights and attractions. There are ample food and shopping options around as it is directly connected to a big mall. The rooms are clean, modern and have everything you need. The shower was super spacious and the toilet was Japanese. The rooms were conveniently laid out and had a wonderful view of the CCTV building. The hotel also has an amazing gym which you can freely enter (including the pool). This is a full-sized gym and not just some machines put in a small room. All in all I had an amazing stay and would highly recommend if you are looking for something modern outside of the old parts of Beijing!

Jen Hotel, Beijing is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Honestly, I don’t know why it’s rated 4 stars, it is certainly worthy of 5! Service is exceptional, rooms are spacious, spotless and super comfy, and the facilities… wow. The gym alone could put half the fitness clubs back home to shame. Next time I’m in China, I’m booking an extra day just to enjoy the hotel instead of sightseeing (yes, it’s that good). Highly recommend — would 100% stay again!

The newest hotel within this area, modern,vibrant and lively. I enjoyed this hotel alot, already my second visit, highly recommended for travelers, business visit and family with kids. Housekeeping and concierge was very meticulous, and helpful.

The viewing is gorgeous in Beijing CBD area, which makes the price deserved. I tried the Beijing local food in SanWuTang, they are all great. The room service/cleaning staff is very warm welcomed. Nice experience in Jen Beijing

We stayed at JEN by Shangri-La Beijing for one week and had a great experience. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and housekeeping kept everything clean and tidy throughout my stay. The service overall was excellent. While the breakfast buffet could use a bit more variety, the buffet dinner was absolutely the best—delicious and full of great options. Thanks for the warm hospitality!
