Hotel La Boheme

We had a wonderful family stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was warm and cozy. The location is perfect — very close to the city center, with plenty of cafes and restaurants around. In the evenings, we loved taking a short 5-minute walk to enjoy a drink and unwind after a full day of exploring. It was the perfect place to relax and feel at home in Amsterdam. Highly recommended!

This was our second stay at this amazing hotel, and it was just as perfect as the first time! The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel itself is in a great location, and the overall vibe is relaxed and cozy — made even better by the resident cat, who is an absolute star! Such a charming touch that makes the place feel extra special. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. A flawless experience from start to finish — 10/10!

5 nights here during a conference and it was a fantastic place to stay. Room is small and quaint, but most importantly it was quiet. The Lobby/Cafe area is great for gathering, social and a drink. Plus, you get to hang with Jackie, who is adorable but a little temperamental at times! Haha. Fyi, this is a traditional Dutch building so the stairs are steep to the extreme. No elevator.

Wonderful hotel in terms of location, staff and quirkiness. They have an in house staff that was friendly. The all day free coffee was much appreciated. We took their breakfast and it was basic but nice. The staff (all but one) were nice, conversational and helpful. If the staff on the second evening was a little more attentive, this would be a 5 star review.

The location is great and the front desk staff is very friendly. The hotel is charming, but the rooms are plain. Our room was clean which is the most important thing, had 3 beds with a tiny bathroom. We had hoped for a beautiful view. The breakfast was very good. It would be great if breakfast started before 8AM. We liked being able to have coffee and tea throughout the day as well as snacks that were always out. The cheese tasting from 5-6PM was very nice. There is a close and easy bus to the airport.

Wonderful location and very friendly hotel staff. We arrived pretty tired from a long international flight and Astrid was very welcoming and made us feel at home. The location is great with a tram stop right in front of the hotel and Leidseplein bus stop just around the corner. There are numerous cafe’s and restaurants within a few minutes of the hotel. The rooms are very clean, compact but they will have everything you will need. Stairs are pretty steep though, and carrying your luggage up and down can be a bit of a task. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel!

We (a British couple in our 70s) stayed here for 4 nights in May. We were very happy with our choice. The hotel has a great location - it is close to the airport bus stop and also to tram services into the centre. The lovely Vondelpark is nearby, as well as a small supermarket and loads of bars and restaurants. |The reception is also where they serve a simple breakfast buffet. Free coffees and hot drinks are available all day, and when breakfast is over, you can even take away any leftover croissants etc if you're planning a picnic. Staff are friendly and helpful. The whole place has a relaxed, informal vibe.|Our room was small but very clean and the bed super comfy. Despite being at the front, we didn't find it noisy and were able to leave the window open at night (there is no aircon). The ensuite toilet/shower was compact but had all we needed and the shower was excellent. The stairs are steep and twisty and there's no lift, so we were glad not to be on a higher floor, but I know that if we had had problems with our luggage, the,staff would have been happy to help. |We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we return to Amsterdam.

Giving this place 5-stars based on location and relative value. We stayed here for 7 or our 8 nights in The Netherlands. Location is amazing. You can walk to 9 Streets or Museums in 10 minutes. Central Amsterdam is only 20 minutes. The Liedsedwarsstraat is just outside your door. The trams are close. Staff is fantastic. It is also very clean. It feels very safe. For a lower priced hotel in Amsterdam that is important. It is also very basic. Rooms are small and plain. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom is small but adequate. It’s a relative value, FOR AMSTERDAM, which is of course ridiculously expensive for accommodations. Would recommend, just have realistic expectations.
