Hotel La Boheme

We had the most wonderful stay at Hotel La Boheme. We were guest for a week in November 2025. Astrid and Jacky (the tuxedo cat and de facto manager .. lol) instantly made us feel welcomed and at home on arrival in the cozy cafe /reception on the first floor. This became the perfect area to begin our mornings before we explored the city. The hotel’s low key vibe and location is absolutely perfect. It’s in the middle of everything without feeling busy and touristy. It is one block from Leidseplein square and walking distance to all of the attractions. There is also a tram stop directly in front of the hotel. The rooms are minimal but well decorated, clean and very comfortable. The water was always hot and the beds soft. One note of caution. The hotel is a row house so there is no elevator and the stairs are steep. As a first timer to Amsterdam Hotel La Boheme was among the many highlights of the trip. Great location, friend staff and excellent value.

This was a great hotel in a good location. My daughter and I loved our little twin room. It was cosy and comfortable and we both slept really well. Perhaps this was aided by the sleepy tea we drank each evening, free in the bar before we went to bed! The shower was also great.|We had breakfast in the hotel on our last morning. There was a good choice of food, hosted by two lovely ladies.|The stairs to our room were pretty steep but perfectly manageable for able bodied guests. |The bus back to the airport left from just round the corner, opposite the casino and outside the Spar shop. Nice and easy.

Really nice hotel in a convenient location. The bus from the airport dropped us just around the corner, which made arrival very easy. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. There were steep stairs up to our room, but they were perfectly manageable for able-bodied guests. Our cosy twin room was very comfortable, with a great shower, extremely comfy beds, and dark curtains that helped us get a really good night’s sleep. Downstairs there’s a small, cosy drinking area where each evening we enjoyed a cup of relaxing sleepy tea before heading up to bed. Breakfast offered a good variety, and the ladies serving it were very welcoming. Overall, a lovely stay and a hotel we would happily recommend.

Hotel LaBoheme was the perfect location to stay. Easy access for walking or catching the tram to anywhere in town. The room was clean and comfortable for our small family. The staff was kind, helpful and professional. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of foods. We were there for Christmas morning, a real treat!

We stayed here on our honeymoon. Yes, the rooms are small and the stairs are steep with no lift, BUT - this place is a true gem. The breakfast is delicious and the coffee machine available all day was great. The location was so convenient - close to the museums, the Jordaan neighborhood, and easy to use the tram and metro systems which were both close by. All the staff was so friendly and genuine, including Jacky who we were in love with! We would absolutely return to stay here again. One criticism we would have is better attention to refilling things in the room. We had to ask for toilet paper and our conditioner was pretty empty for half our stay. Not the biggest deal, just figured I’d mention it.

Absolutely loved this place even if I did need to climb to space to get to my room haha jokes but an honest opinion is this place was amazing from start to check out. We meet astrid i think her name was and she made us feel so comfortable and offered free refreshments tea coffee biscuits ect. She even had us an early check in so was a bonus. The cat is awesome and you must say hi. Now I did book the top room so thats on me haha but when I reached the moon my room was a great little cosy place with everything you can need or want. If you haven't been then I'd book it for your next trip. We will be back 100%

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely - clean, warm and with comfortable beds. The location is great and the staff were friendly, welcoming and gave helpful recommendations and tips! We would definitely stay again and recommend it to others :)

Overall, I had a decent stay at Hotel La Boheme, but I am mixed about my review. The breakfast was good and reasonably priced and the bed was comfortable, but my room was dark and dingy and in the basement. For $$$ I was surprised at that. I know Amsterdam is expensive but wasn’t expecting that. I could also hear loud commotion from the reception area above my room all day long. There was also no soap in the shared bathroom throughout my stay, and no one came to clean my room or change my towels throughout my few day stay. Otherwise, the location is good (near trams and Leidseplein) and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Such a fantastic stay!!! Jacky and Sergio who run the desk and the breakfast in the AM were just delightful people. Mimi the house cat was also awesome. The room was small, clean and perfect for what we needed. Had a hairdryer, safe and internet. TV as well though we didn't need it. Located in the Leidseplein and accessible to everything. Take the 192 bus right from the Schipol airport to a stop half a block away for 4 euro. Literally three minute walk from the Melkweg, and 7-10 to the Museumplein. Great breakfast included croissants, coffee, yogurt, granola, fruit, juice, meats and cheese. Will definitely stay there again when I go back to Amsterdam!!! Highly recommend booking an advance ticket for Anne Frank House to avoid the line and buying your Van Gogh museum at the front desk to avoid the line there as well.
