Six Exceptional Hotels Close to The Eiffel Tower

"The Eiffel Tower is one of the most photographed and visited monuments in the world, an indelible symbol of the Parisian dream – and as you are admiring the 'Iron Lady' from your hotel room window, you can't help but feel you are living out that very dream. It's hardly surprising that the guestrooms at La Comtesse are categorised not by sea view/courtyard view, but according to whether they are 'Eiffel Tower side view' or 'Eiffel Tower front view'." - The MICHELIN Guide

Loved our stay at Hôtel La Comtesse! The location was perfect. Waking up to a view of the Eiffel Tower felt surreal. The room was clean, comfy, and had everything we needed. We also tried the breakfast downstairs at the restaurant and it was so good, fresh pastries, eggs, coffee, the works. Staff were super friendly and helpful too. Would 100% stay here again next time we’re in Paris!

One of the best parts of our trip was staying at the beautiful establishment. We requested a room with balcony and a view if possible and the Hotel delivered . The staff were very accommodating, kind, and helpful. The room was perfect and location amazing. You are located a short walk to amazing cafe’s the metro and shops. Overall, I would highly recommend staying at this fantastic establishment. Hope to be back some day

A wonderful weekend spent here. We had the Eiffel Tower balcony room which was absolutely beautiful and had the perfect view. Watching the light show from the balcony was just magical. Although very central, the room was not noisy at all. The room was spotless and air conditioned which was very welcome on a hot weekend in June. The beds were comfortable. Metro station, taxi rank and shops just across the street. Would definitely come back again.

Even before we arrived at this cozy property, Emilie, Anna, Jean-Michele and Wassim at Reception were all so helpful helping us plan our mother's birthday celebration weekend in Paris. No matter what we needed, they provided outstanding recommendations, as well as clear and kind communication to ensure our needs were met. Once we arrived, they thoughtfully placed us in beautiful rooms next to each other (so we could help our mobility-impaired mom)- and made sure she felt comfortable and welcome. The breakfast buffet- while modest- had enough to satisfy everyone and the service was- once again, wonderful. We so appreciated the staff's professionalism, patience and hospitality- and would book again! By the way, definitely book a room with a terrace and Eiffel Tower view- it's spectacular (especially at night)!

This hotel is spectacular! A beautiful Parisian experience. The rooms are quaint, but you don’t need anything more; perfectly sized bathroom and just enough room for two and plenty room for suitcases. Located right near the metro, the Eiffel Tower, and many wonderful restaurants and shops. In the morning there were wonderful pastries and a variety of eggs and fruits for breakfast, delicious! The staff in particular was excellent — extremely attentive and beyond welcoming. The wonderful madam, Sarah, in the cafe was amazing! She was so friendly and knowledgeable, it really made the experience that much more enjoyable. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to stay in Paris, especially for a more boutique experience.

We had a very poor experience at this hotel and will not return. Upon arrival, we were told early check-in wasn't available, which is understandable — however, our check-in was then delayed even further past the regular time, with no apology or complimentary offer. Staff explained that they were overwhelmed due to 20 guest check-outs, which struck us as unprofessional for a hotel of this calibre. Staff were consistently rude and unaccommodating throughout our stay. The room itself was extremely small and overpriced, especially considering the high rating of the hotel — you can absolutely find better value and service in Paris. They also did not do anything to make our first trip to Paris special and there was charge after charge for anything. The gym was disappointing: very limited equipment, mostly for show, and certainly not suitable for anyone looking to actually work out. On the morning of our early departure, we requested to simply pay for a pastry or take-out breakfast in lieu of the buffet, as it was just 30 minutes before opening. The request was refused outright, which felt unnecessarily inflexible. Additionally, the mirror in the elevator was cracked — a small but telling detail in terms of upkeep. Overall, the service, amenities, and value did not meet the standards of a four-star hotel. We expected far more in terms of hospitality and professionalism. Edit: I did indeed stay at this hotel. The manager's response just goes to show the lack of professionalism and hostility. There was no phone call - he is mixing me up with another customer.

Google
A lovely, quaint Parisian experience centrally located to metro, Eiffel Tower and shopping. The rooms are small though every inch is thoughtfully purposed…open the double doors with wrought iron railing to let in the fresh breeze and sounds of the city. We watched the twinkle of the Tower each night on the hour. Included breakfast is quite good with an assortment of pastries and fresh grains. Sarah in the restaurant is wonderful - friendly, attentive, and a great resource for directions and things to do off the beaten path. We will be back!

Yelp
Don't Stay at La Comtesse if you are American or if you expect good customer service, a big room, basic 4-star amenities, or a good value. The only good thing about this hotel is the view (if you get lucky). My wife and I booked a trip to Paris because our first-born child died, and we were trying to escape our reality and distract our attention away from the terrible pain we have been in the past few months. We are American and are accustomed to getting good customer service at 4 and 5-star hotels. We anticipated some people being rude and ethnocentric towards Americans due to age-old stereotypes of the French people. However, we did not anticipate the complete lack of respect and empathy from people in a "customer service" business. We made a minor error when booking our stay due to the website's terrible GUI for "early check in". Effectively, we got charged for an extra day that we did not stay at the hotel. At $500 per night, this is significant. When we identified the issue and spoke to the hotel management about it (including communicating why we were travelling to Paris, e.g. dead child), they did not even acknowledge our situation, show any remorse, and completely shut us down. Effectively, they showed ZERO EMPATHY for parents who just lost their only child and told us to pay an additional $500 because "those are the rules". These people are effectively robots who hate Americans. If you expect to receive any basic forms of customer service, then reconsider your itinerary. In summary, what you can expect at La Comtesse: * $500 to $1,000 USD per night for a so-so view of the Eiffel Tower * Zero customer service * Zero empathy or consideration for their hotel guests * Tiny rooms that make camping look glamorous * Room cleaning that doesn't get done until 2pm-4pm in the afternoon TLDR: Stay somewhere else

Yelp
This is supposed to be a four-star hotel. Upon arrival, nobody even grabbed our bags to bring them to the room. Our elevator was broken for two days. Our room was next to the utility closet where the maids would come get their cleaning supplies Starting at 5 AM. It was very loud and woke us up daily. Room 301! Do not get!!! Right next to the cleaning closet! The room is very small and had a faint smell to it. The bathroom was very large, and the sink was very large...yet there was no counter space. We ended up moving the table from the room inside of the bathroom so we can have a place to sit our things. The shower didn't have a door, so the water leaked all over the floor. We came back to the room one day and saw the cleaning crew...I asked if she could clean our room.. she rolled her eyes at us and nodded. This is our first time to Paris, and I would never stay here again. This is not a 4 star hotel. One positive.. if you stick your head out the window.. you could see the Eiffel Tower. My advice... it's a hard NO!

Yelp
I booked this hotel last minute not knowing what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. Emile at the reception was very helpful and nice as she checked us in. We had a side view of the Eiffel Tower that was spectacular, especially at night. We walked everywhere and when we got tired we rented bikes or scooters and continued. There was a scooter/ bike rental station across from the hotel. There was also a supermarket and several restaurants across the street. The beds were very comfortable, we had robes, slippers , mini fridge and coffee maker. I would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
This hotel was pretty perfect for my birthday trip to Paris! I have zero complaints. The staff was friendly. We arrived early and they held our bags for us while we did a little exploring before check-in. Room was spotless on arrival. Hotel was quiet during our stay so there were no disruptions while trying to rest. The view was awesome. The included breakfast was welcoming. It was an amazing experience overall and I would most definitely recommend them to anyone.

Yelp
This is a must stay! I stayed here last week, in a front facing view room and it did not disappoint. The room was beautiful and since it was on the corner of the hotel there were 3 different areas with doors that opened. The location was perfect and having the balcony to sit on to watch the lights on the Eiffel Tower was such a great experience! (Next time I hope I just have a higher room!) The breakfast was also fantastic as well. I definitely recommend staying here and I will for sure be staying here again!

Yelp
Great place to stay. Welcoming staff and great complimentary breakfast. Room was very clean and for Europe, it was a big room. I loved it here. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Walking distance to the Eiffel tower. However your views may differ significantly. My "Eiffel tower view room" did have a view of the tower, but you have to kind of lean forward to see it, so you should make sure you book the right room so you won't get disappointed. Bar and cafe open pretty much all day and they have room rates that include a breakfast option, which is about €20. Eggs to order, bread, meats, cheeses included. Sub-par fitness room located at -1 floor. Couple of weights and an elliptical. 5 minute walk to the metro station with several bars nearby and right next to the Ecole Militaire.

Yelp
If you have one night in Paris, this hotel is perfect. We had a view of the Eiffel tower without paying a fortune! Location is what made it ideal, seventh arrondissement. We were just walking distance from the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and Les Invalides. This hotel is on a corner which gives it a semi-flat iron building look. Is hotel had a boutique feel, but we didn't pay outrages boutique prices. The café, La Comtresse, downstairs, not included was perfect. With a bar, pastries, breakfast/lunch, etc. Staff was great, English speaking, friendly, and helpful We had a balcony facing the Eiffel Tower and that was worth it. You could not see the Eiffel tower unless you walked out onto the balcony, but it was perfect. The room decor was so cute. Heated towel rack in the bathrooms. The service was great If you are calling in Uber/cab from this location, the one-way streets around the hotel make it confusing on the driver, so give yourself ample time. We walked from this hotel, picked up some lime scooters, rented a motorcycle, enter the entire city and one night. This location was perfect for all of that This is a 4 star (our of 4) on Hotels.com. I agree! 5 star on Google for me.

Yelp
Right around the corner from Ecole Militaire stop on the Metro 8 and a 15 min walk to the Eiffel Tower. There are a lot of great cafes and restaurants in the area. I'm SO glad to have stayed here for my first visit to Paris. My room had a side view of the Eiffel tower, and it was a beautiful sight to wake up and fall asleep to. The bathroom was modern, and the bed was comfortable. Everyone who worked here spoke great English as well!

Yelp
Stayed here for our 3 nights in Paris and was not disappointed! We actually booked the room the day before our arrival, as we were suppose to stay in an Airbnb but our host flaked on us. Luckily for us, we found Hotel La Comtesse had a room available with a great balcony and view of the Eiffel Tower. From the moment we arrived, we received great hospitality. The check in/ check out process was seamless. The room and bathroom was spotless and completely updated. My favorite part was our balcony overlooking the street below. You can even see the Eiffel Tower while laying in bed, magical! The location couldn't have been better, with being a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and only two blocks from the metro that can get you quickly to all the other sites. We didn't opt for the breakfast there but it did look good. Will definitely stay here again if I return to Paris!

Yelp
I got real excited when i saw they had a breakfast buffet and omelets. Still didnt hit me that i wasn't in the U.S. anymore. The buffet comes with an assortment of items including crepes, yogurt, and meats. What it didnt come with was an all you can eat omelet. My husband and i decided to eat outside facing the Eiffel Tower. What a beautiful sight. The crepes were delicious and the authentic cappuccino was pretty good. Strong, but good. Our server was very good. She's didnt speak any English and we spoke no french, but it worked. She was great.

Yelp
This hotel is magical. I stayed here for my first ever solo trip for my 30th birthday and I couldn't be happier. The first night I stayed in room 306 and had breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower and then next two nights I stayed in room 602 with a balcony and again amazing views of the Eiffel Tower. The hotel staff is absolutely amazing and so accommodating. The location of the hotel is great, so close to everything and so easy to walk to any sites. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, already crying that I have to leave tomorrow

Yelp
Quick and easy check in and check out. Cute and small, perfect for my partner and I. We walked everywhere! Many cute restaurants in the area. 2 markets less than a block away! Opened our window and looked out to see the gorgeous Eiffel Tower! At night, got to see it light up every hour on the hour The registration desk has 24/7 service and they are always willing to help, speaking multiple languages! They even printed our Versailles and DisneyParis tickets for us! Thank you Hotel La Comtesse!!!

Yelp
Excellent location, beautiful hotel, clean, amazing bathroom with the most wonderful rain shower, cute decor, we stayed in room 201 and was super quiet , side view of Eiffel Tower, 2 min walk to metro, great restaurants , and an amazing outdoor market called Rue Cler, also 10 min walk to rue saint Dominique the most amazing street with cute boutiques , patisseries, bars and bistros, 10 min walk to Eiffel Tower, and the hop on hop off bus stop, you see a lot of local French people around this neighborhood and everyone was very nice to us, hotel staff super friendly, let us check in early, I highly recommend this hotel, very happy customer, Paris is an amazing city, and French people are very protective of it, Merci pour tout, jusqu'à la prochaine fois until next time Faren

Yelp
What else can I say about this hotel other that it was everything we wanted and more. My wife and I booked this hotel based on reviews we found and we were not disappointed. The staff was amazing, the room was up to date and really nice. The side view of the Eiffel Tower was pretty sweet. My wife spent almost every hour looking out the window at night seeing the tower light up. It was within walking distance of many restaurants, cafe's, shops, metro, bus stops and of course the tower. Would definitely come back again. Thanks to all the staff that made our stay magical.

Yelp
Check in went fine, but it went downhill after that. The staff is extremely rude and super unhelpful. The rooms are extremely small. We were told to use one form of travel that would have made us miss our event time, thankfully we were able to get a taxi and made it with minutes to spare. While eating breakfast we dealt with more extremely rude people. This is how your start your day and you have these negative unhelpful people. At checkout I had to deal with another rude and obnoxious person. I would highly recommend you do not stay at this hotel. There has to be much better choices. There is no way this hotel should be a 4 star hotel!

Yelp
Staff are so welcoming. Stayed for two nights. Amazing views of Eiffel Tower. We stayed on the 5th floor which had cute little chairs and a table on a balcony. You could sit out at night and enjoy the view. Rooms are small, typical of Europe, but have everything you need. I for sure would stay here again and recommend it to my friends and family.

Yelp
This was the first hotel that I stayed at on my first trip to Paris. From the beginning, it was a truly outstanding experience! The front desk staff was courteous, polite, and extremely accommodating. I even received a room upgrade which was a delightful surprise! Everyone that I met who worked at the hotel was pleasant and helpful. There is a calming experience that you feel upon entering the hotel/your room. Speaking of, my room was IMMACULATE! I absolutely loved the bed and the bathroom. However, it was the VIEW from my room that was absolutely breathtaking. I will never stay in another hotel again - in fact, I left The Legend Hotel (Saint Germain) and rebooked a room at Hotel La Comtesse because this hotel is a million times better! Everything from the kind staff, to the perfect location, to the view and cleanliness of the room - I could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Hotel La Comtesse for being one of the highlights of my trip!!! Merci beaucoup!

Yelp
On my 5th day here of my 11 day stay and so far everything has been wonderful!! We are a family of 4 with two kids and booked connecting rooms. The view from both rooms is beautiful. The cafe downstairs is great and I like that they offer buffet style and express for the kids. It's a great Location as you have restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores in walking distance. The rooms are decent sized for being Paris. Walking out and looking at the Eiffel tower is a beautiful treat to see everyday.

Samuel H.

Yelp
The location of this hotel is okay in relation to some of the attractions in Paris and there are many eateries with easy access from this hotel as other reviewers have noted. Reason for the low stars is due to safety! This morning, after a long night out, my wife was greeted by a stranger entering our room! We booked two rooms at this hotel for five nights because we are vacationing with our children. Two nights in, while we had the do not disturb signs hanging on the doors, the front desk gave another guest the keys to our room. I was told that a guest was checking in to another room and complained about his key not working. The desk agent just asked what room number and when that guest gave our room number, he just gave the guest a key for our room. My wife was half naked when the stranger walked in. Luckily, the stranger came into our room and not into the room next door where our children were sleeping. I complained to the front desk agent and he just basically said "sorry, we had a glitch with the computer system and it shouldnt happen again." I demanded that a manager be notified am waiting to be contacted. The rooms are clean but extremely small which I guess is common in France. I would think that for approximately $700 per night for two rooms, we would be given a little more space and better safety.

Yelp
Stayed at Hotel La Comtesse four nights in room 306 and had a great experience. The staff are fluent in multiple languages and make it easy to communicate but you should always know the basics like "merci" and "bonjour". The rooms and facility were all in good shape, updated and clean. The location is a short 15 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower yet far enough from most tourist so you'll get a local feel. Oh yeah, the views from the room are definitely Instagram worthy!

Yelp
Good hotel. Very friendly service. Comfortable and clean rooms, and a nice breakfast.

Yelp
I have never been so upset and disappointed with a business, that I feel the need to write a review. But, Hotel La Comtesse refuses to refund our money, even during these trying times. My wife and I were scheduled to stay here in May 2020 for our honeymoon, coming from the US, but due to travel restrictions/bans, we can't even travel there. Our flights to Europe have all been cancelled by the airlines. And not only that, they are closed themselves until the end of April (and maybe longer after that). They refuse to refund our money and only offer conditional rebooking at a later date, within a year. We don't even know if we'll be back in a year, etc. This is absolutely ridiculous! Everyone is suffering globally, due to the coronavirus, and this level of customer service is unacceptable and downright thievery. We would have easily rebooked with them at a later date, if they acted accordingly to the circumstances, which are out of anyone's control. This was one of our top choices in Paris, but due to the way they handled the situation and treat their customers, no thanks! If you want to experience terrible customer service from a business that puts profit over their customers, then by all means, book with them. Otherwise, find another hotel. There are plenty of others that are more than willing to do the right thing, under any circumstances.

Yelp
Our 8-day stay at La Comtesse was wonderful. All the staff are friendly, speak English well, have a positive attitude, and work hard. Our room was perfectly comfortable. We got the front-view of the Eiffel Tower, and enjoyed waking up to this view, in addition to seeing the tower lit up at night! The hotel is close to the Rodin museum, a ten minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, and 2 minutes from the metro that easily connects to everything in Paris (Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Versailles, Montmarte, Champs Elysees, etc.). I like the 6th Arrondissement, as it's less hectic than downtown, yet still close by. Someone at the front desk always showed us the best Metro route, which made it even easier. They also made arrangements for us to be picked up, and returned to the airport. Finally, we enjoyed our breakfast each morning, charging up on a couple of espressos & an omelette to get started for the day. We'll stay at La Comtesse next time we're in Paris.

Yelp
Worth every penny! This was hands down the perfect stay in Paris. Only minutes from the Eiffel Tower, this romantic hotel was everything I had dreamt of. The man at check in was very polite. The hotel room was so chic and the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. We had 2 balconies that had views of the Eiffel Tower. It is well worth it to get balconies with a view or side view. The bathroom was so chic and spa like. Everything about this hotel was amazing. I highly recommend you book your stay here! I am a very picky person and I will definitely be back!
