We stayed at the Maison de Mezos for 3 nights, having booked four rooms to accommodate a family of 4 adults and 2 small children. The host, Coraline, was very helpful arranging the rooms so the children could be near parents and grand-parents but well away from uncles who were less implicated in childcare. We therefore had 3 rooms in the main house, 2 doubles and one parental suite and one double room in one of the garden's buildings. Beds are extremely comfortable, rooms are spacious with interesting decoration without undue quirkiness. Our bathrooms were also spacious and we appreciated the lovely 'Occitane' bath products. Coraline serves good home cooked food on demand and dinner on the terrace was delightful. The garden is well kept and interesting with a (fenced) pond, complete with grumpy duck, and swimming pool also fenced. There are plenty of sunbeds. The beach (Contis-plage) is 10 minutes away by car: clear water and white sand as far as the eye can see, it is stunning. Being the 14th of July it was very busy but we still managed to park. There is a small shack on the beach with a great atmosphere and serving lovely food. Calamares with wasabi mayonnaise recommended (although they possible could have been fried a bit harder). Overall an excellent stay and we are planning a return visit in the near future. Last point, not all bedrooms have a TV but it certainly didn't bother us as we were kept very busy between the pool, the beach and the wedding we were attending nearby. There is a large, inviting, sitting-room downstairs for guests which has a TV.
