"In a village set deep within the Landes forest, this restaurant boasts a façade with the red shutters that are so emblematic of the region. A fragrant pergola covered in jasmine leads to a charming covered terrace with mismatched furniture. Inside, the atmosphere is that of a rustic-style country house. The chef, who has gained a wealth of experience from his travels, rustles up cuisine that very much captures the zeitgeist, infused with creative details such as a lemon and caper ice cream to accompany the veal confit with tonnato sauce, or a mussel and red curry mayonnaise on the trout and peas." - Michelin Inspector

Every meal I’ve had here is consistently delicious and bursting with flavour. They have been very accommodating to my dietary requirements with a lot of grace and understanding for which I’m very grateful. By far my favourite restaurant in les Landes - incredible! Thank you Charline and Johan ❤️

Fantastic stay in such a cute hotel. The pool was very enjoyable and the staff welcoming and friendly. What a great family-owned establishment! It is at a great location, with beautiful bike rides to many beaches and other fun activities. They also have an amazing restaurant, the French cuisine is delightful. Chef and his staff made for an incredible culinary experience! I would very strongly recommend a stay for your next vacation, you will keep the best memory of it!

We were welcomed very heartly and even though we were on our journey through France could stay for one night only. The room we had was in sort of a bungalow. it was spacious, sunny, airy and clean. the interor was tastefully furnishes an the bathroom clean and nicely done. Maison de mezos has a pool, which looked very clean and inviting, but we didn't have a chance to use it. The food in the restaurant must have been very good as the restaurant was fully visited and had several recommendations. The breakfast was very nice.

We stayed here two nights, while visiting Mimizan and its lovely beach.|It is 20km away from there, but it was the only place nearby that had vacancy.|The village is situated in the middle of a large forrest and is very peaceful.|This is a very nice, beautiful place. We stayed in a chalet and you notice right away that it is decorated with love and is very tasteful. Everything is very very clean. Good shower, perfect beds and the view from the balcony of the chalet, overlooking a small lake, is beautiful.|The room even smells lovely.|The breakfast, especially for french standards, more than good.|No, it is not cheap. But that was not why we stayed there. We found it well worthy of our money.|One of our places to remember.

We stayed at the Maison de Mezos for 3 nights, having booked four rooms to accommodate a family of 4 adults and 2 small children. The host, Coraline, was very helpful arranging the rooms so the children could be near parents and grand-parents but well away from uncles who were less implicated in childcare. We therefore had 3 rooms in the main house, 2 doubles and one parental suite and one double room in one of the garden's buildings. Beds are extremely comfortable, rooms are spacious with interesting decoration without undue quirkiness. Our bathrooms were also spacious and we appreciated the lovely 'Occitane' bath products. Coraline serves good home cooked food on demand and dinner on the terrace was delightful. The garden is well kept and interesting with a (fenced) pond, complete with grumpy duck, and swimming pool also fenced. There are plenty of sunbeds. The beach (Contis-plage) is 10 minutes away by car: clear water and white sand as far as the eye can see, it is stunning. Being the 14th of July it was very busy but we still managed to park. There is a small shack on the beach with a great atmosphere and serving lovely food. Calamares with wasabi mayonnaise recommended (although they possible could have been fried a bit harder). Overall an excellent stay and we are planning a return visit in the near future. Last point, not all bedrooms have a TV but it certainly didn't bother us as we were kept very busy between the pool, the beach and the wedding we were attending nearby. There is a large, inviting, sitting-room downstairs for guests which has a TV.

We had dinner with our children in the restaurant. Very good food, nice service, but quite expensive (95 Euros without wine). Local cuisine. I had a Basque stew that was delicious. Children got a special meal not listed on the card.
