"This attractively renovated classic hotel has played host to famous personalities such as Ernest Hemingway and the bullfighter Manolete. As a consequence, each of its guestrooms has been personalised to reflect some of its most illustrious guests. Unusual library, plus a gastro - bar - style restaurant." - Tablet Hotels

Grand Hotel La Perla | Best places to stay in Pamplona

"Pamplona’s grand dame opened in 1881, and has hosted every celebrity to the city since. Rooms are classically elegant and extremely comfortable, decked out in a mix of contemporary and antique design, (top choices are the Hemingway or Royal Family suite). All have views over the Plaza del Castilla (party central) or Estafeta Street (where the bulls run) which make grabbing one during the fiesta almost impossible. There’s a gourmet restaurant, guided visits to the Hemingway-themed room and superb staff. If you can swing it, there’s no better base for enjoying all Pamplona has to offer. " - Dana Facaros

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. From the moment we were welcomed by Daniel we were treated so well and at the end when he helped me load the luggage in the car. The rooms are spacious with the biggest shower I have ever seen. The location and historic items in the hotel made this a memorable part of our trip to Spain

We visited the week after the San Fermin festival when Pamplona was recovering so things were relatively quiet. Perhaps because of this, we were offered an upgrade to a fantastic room on the mezzanine floor - thank you very much! The room was lovely, the bathroom great and the bed fantastically comfortable, particularly the high quality sheets. The location is perfect, right on the main square, so walking everywhere in the city is 100% possible. The staff were very helpful in suggesting places to eat and how to drive out of the city centre when we left. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

This should be a 5* review, and by most measures, thuis is a 5* hotel. ||However, the food side of the hotel is poor.||The staff, are exceedingly helpful, polite and professional. So 5*||The location is excellent, even if driving through pedestrians on the palza on the way to the hotel is a little exciting. So 5*||The hotel itself us superb, someone has tatefully spent a truck-load of money on the place, and the location is great. So 5*||However, breakfast is poor. The hotel provides only a table service breakfast. Sadly, this is severely under staffed. Despite working frantically hard, in 5 days, we never saw enough staff to do this properly. Worse still, the menu on offer does not reflect the international nature of the clients. A stack of pastries and rolls, tiny bowl of fruit and yoghurt, dried-out charcuterie and brie.|| Then a limited choice of scrambled eggs and some things on toast. ||We were not alone in our dislike of these very limited choices, a number of other guests (American, English and North European) all commented on the lack of Adult quality cereals ( like muselli, which ran out on 2 days) or granola. ||My advice: talk to your client group about what they want, then provide it; don't half-heartedly provide table service, either do it well or move to a buffet service, like most other international hotels of this class.||Dinner was a little better, but once more, the range of dishes on offer were too limited, vegitables, amost non- existant and staff over streached.||These are not people problems, these are management and strategy issues.||Your people are great, the hotel is great, it is brought down by the food side, which, given it's Michelain accokade, truly astonished me

A wonderful hotel with excellent staff that went out of the way to assist us during our stay. Room was extremly well furnished and the history of the hotel was fascinating and added to the overall enjoyment. Great location in central old town Pamplona.

This is a fabulous hotel with very spacious, luxurious rooms, in the best location in Pamplona. We went for 1 night with our family while walking the Camino de Santiago and once arriving, decided to stay for 2 nights. They let us have a late checkout. The service was excellent and always exceedingly friendly. I would highly recommend to anyone going to Pamplona.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at Gran Hotel La Perla in Pamplona, and we can’t recommend it highly enough! The hotel’s location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the Plaza del Castillo, making it easy to explore everything the city has to offer.|Our room was immaculate, with a supremely comfortable bed and top-notch amenities that made us feel truly pampered. What really set our experience apart, though, was the staff. Everyone we encountered was not only friendly and efficient but also genuinely went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Their warm hospitality made us feel completely at home.|If you’re looking for a memorable and relaxing stay in Pamplona, Gran Hotel La Perla is the place to be!

My experience at Hotel La Perla was simply perfect. It’s an elegant hotel with impeccable service from the very first moment. The staff is attentive, professional, and takes care of every detail.|The rooms are magnificent—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The location is unbeatable, ideal for exploring everything Pamplona has to offer.|The only aspect that could be improved is the breakfast service, which didn’t quite match the outstanding level of the rest of the hotel.|Still, without a doubt, this is a place I would happily return to.

Yelp
We were having a holiday and one stop was Pamplona which I had to see. This hotel is in a great central spot and could not have been any better. We drove a car and the staff communicated to us prior to arrival about driving in the square which if they had not I would have questioned how to get there. When we we arrived 2 people came out to greet us one to help with luggage and one to take the car. I loved her response to me on the car, she said "forget about the car we will take care of it" , Perfect! The city was great and at the front desk then nice lady gave us a map and spent about 10minutes walking us through all the things to see and routes to take, awesome! We had a super day. Hotel staff the entire time was just awesome and the room was perfect! I am going back for sure and stay again at this hotel!

Yelp
Let me start by saying that I travel internationally a fair amount. Hotel La Perla has been by far the best experience I've EVER had at any hotel. The hospitality they showed was simply amazing! Extremely friendly and helpful staff. My baggage got delayed by two days and I didn't even need to track my bags or contact the airport. They took care of it for me! Very warm and friendly crew. A total pleasure to stay here and I will be back again soon.
