This should be a 5* review, and by most measures, thuis is a 5* hotel. ||However, the food side of the hotel is poor.||The staff, are exceedingly helpful, polite and professional. So 5*||The location is excellent, even if driving through pedestrians on the palza on the way to the hotel is a little exciting. So 5*||The hotel itself us superb, someone has tatefully spent a truck-load of money on the place, and the location is great. So 5*||However, breakfast is poor. The hotel provides only a table service breakfast. Sadly, this is severely under staffed. Despite working frantically hard, in 5 days, we never saw enough staff to do this properly. Worse still, the menu on offer does not reflect the international nature of the clients. A stack of pastries and rolls, tiny bowl of fruit and yoghurt, dried-out charcuterie and brie.|| Then a limited choice of scrambled eggs and some things on toast. ||We were not alone in our dislike of these very limited choices, a number of other guests (American, English and North European) all commented on the lack of Adult quality cereals ( like muselli, which ran out on 2 days) or granola. ||My advice: talk to your client group about what they want, then provide it; don't half-heartedly provide table service, either do it well or move to a buffet service, like most other international hotels of this class.||Dinner was a little better, but once more, the range of dishes on offer were too limited, vegitables, amost non- existant and staff over streached.||These are not people problems, these are management and strategy issues.||Your people are great, the hotel is great, it is brought down by the food side, which, given it's Michelain accokade, truly astonished me
