La Quinta Luna

"How did it strike you on arrival?A stunning, colonial building with Moorish arches, La Quinta Luna exudes a sense of history and tradition. Thick walls painted an elegant red surround an inner courtyard. The whole place feels old and elegant. Nice. What’s the crowd like?La Quinta Luna is popular with guests from all over the world. Due to its size (there are just seven rooms), lots of couples seeking an intimate setting come here. The good stuff: Tell us about your room. All of the rooms have high wood-beamed ceilings and look out onto the central courtyard. They're bright and airy with cream-colored walls and subtle but beautiful artworks. Despite the rooms all being quite large, they have an extremely cozy feel. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?The queen-size beds are firm and comfortable. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase? All rooms come with bathrobes, slippers, and a television, so you can get cozy after a day of sightseeing. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down. The marble mosaic-tiled bathrooms are a good size; some of the junior suites have bathtubs as well as showers. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word? The Wifi is free and available in public areas. Due to the thickness of the walls, it can be patchy in the rooms. Room service: Worth it?There's no room service, but breakfast is included in the rate and has excellent coffee. The restaurant is open until 9:30 pm and serves some great local dishes. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you.The spa offers heavenly massages and is worth making time for a visit. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay? It's incredibly beautiful and feels like a sanctuary at the end of a long day. Bottom line: worth it, and why?For a small but grand hotel, it is really good value." - Susannah Rigg

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Cholula, Ive been staying here for years and it has kept the great service and charm. Keep in mind that the hotel only offers breakfast but you can enter / order any food you want from the outside and use their facilities. Don’t forget to visit their beautiful library.

Excellent service! We had a minor issue with water but it was completely out of their control and they compensated us for the inconvenience. Breakfast was delicious and the suite was beautiful. The hotel is an old hacienda. Felt like we were in a telenovela. Also, the hotel manager was super helpful. Definitely will return here.

Spent 2 nights in this lovely hotel. The service was impeccable, the rooms clean, comfortable and quiet. My friend and I enjoyed the patio with it’s flowers and fountain. The breakfasts/ food are beautifully prepared and presented. Our host made us a pot of fresh mint tea every day. Don’t miss checking out the renovations, original architectural details, photo album of the restoration, and the library. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Cholula & look forward to a return visit some time in the future.

This hotel, with only 7 rooms and a presidential suite is a gem. In fact, I am reluctant to write about it because it is so special I am hoping it doesn't get overcrowded. From the first few minutes we were in the hotel, we felt a peace descend upon us. Because it is so small there is little or no noise except the birds chirping and water of the fountain in the central patio. Although it is a small boutique hotel it has every amenity-- it has a wonderful restaurant; we tasted many plates and all were good or excellent. It has a spa and a wonderful massuese, Olivia. It has a spectacular library; ask to see it. All prices are moderate and I guarantee you will feel spoiled. After 3 days we returned to our regular routine renewed. It is walking distance from the zócalo and many shops and restaurants (if you decide to leave the hotel at all) and Cholula is one of the most charming cities in all México. Plus it is home to the world's largest pyramid. We are certain to return again and again.

We stayed there for 9 nights as we were meeting old friends and doing some day trips. Enjoyed the excellent breakfast and also evening meals. The nice patio gives you a very good opportunity to extend your room into the garden. Sit there, relax and prepare for the next activities. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Specially the senior Person (owner Family?) helped us in any aspect (Taxi, UBER, Information,....). We booked a smaller suite, but because of our long stay we got a larger one. This was already a good start of our stay. During the week the hotel is not busy - so we felt like being at home with nice friends.||If you look for a quiet place - this is our recommendation. We definitly come back on our next trip!

Great place. We were in two Airbnb and one hotel room. La Pajarera is beautiful BUT a little bit difficult for our age as it is in the roof. The Colibrí is the best room in every aspect. Then, the Conejo room is not nice, the bed was the worst bed in all my vacations!. Service is good.
