My father and I came to Ibiza for five days and I was looking for a hotel that had the Ibiza vibe. This hotel fit the bill: it's really beautiful, nestled in between the castle walls, with a gorgeous view of the city.||I'll start with the positives: The staff is incredible. Even before we booked, they were responsive and answered all our questions immediately. Special shoutout to Isabel, Sarah and Javier (I hope I spelled those correctly). The breakfast served some of the best coffee I've ever had, and the complimentary shuttle to the city center and back was clutch so you didn't have to walk up and down the steep walkways. The hotel has thought of very small details that make the stay memorable: Le Labo products, intuitive lights, free beverages in the room, coffee machines, etc.||Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. This hotel is not suitable for people with mobility issues due to the copious amount of stairs. We booked the premium room which had a bathroom dividing a bedroom and a living room: perfect for us to have separate sleeping spaces. The room is beautiful, but unfortunately, it's facing the street and right above a bar that kept us up all night. A trash truck woke us again at 1: 30 a.m -- my dad never wakes up in the night, but that night, he woke up five times. The people above us also walked around all night and every time a toilet flushed, we heard it. We immediately requested to change rooms because we couldn't do 5 nights of no sleep -- the only rooms that were available were two basic rooms at the top of five flights of stairs that were impossible for my dad to get to. So, I moved him again to a superior room, which, in our opinion, is maybe the best room in the whole hotel. He had no complaints about this room. The staff was amazing in assisting the various room changes and with any other requests such as toiletries I had forgotten.||I stayed in the basic room, which are all located above the restaurant that stayed open until 1:30 a.m. and then burst alive again around 6 a.m. with staff moving tables and chairs and preparing for the day. Also, the walls are thin, so you can hear your neighbors. All to say, if you are sensitive to noise, this is probably not the hotel for you.||Lastly, breakfast was included in our rate, but we were charged for two of them, plus they charged us 200 euros extra for the "additional bed" (which was just the sofa bed pulled out in the first room) -- fine, but we had not been told about this extra charge during our numerous inquiries before arriving so we felt a little duped. They of course rectified the bill immediately without hesitation.||All in all, it's a beautiful hotel with amazing staff, but I probably wouldn't stay here again, especially for more than 700 euros a night.
