Hotel la Tosca

Amazing hotel just a few steps away from the main square of Capri. The rooms are spacious, hotel is clean and beautiful! Ettore is an exceptional host, breakfast is served everyday at the terrace overlooking the town and sea! We loved every bit of our stay here. Thank you so much Ettore for being incredibly helpful with our tours to our transport back to Naples and most of all for making us feel at home! I would highly recommend anyone looking for a place to stay in Capri to stay at the beautiful Hotel La Tosca!

Nothing but amazing things to say about this hotel! The room was spotless, very spacious, and thoughtfully designed—with a large bathroom, plenty of closet space, a safe, and even a full-length mirror. The bed was also incredibly comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax after exploring. Ettore, the host, went above and beyond. He not only recommended the best panini spot before my boat tour (which he also suggested and it was fantastic), but also pointed me toward a beach club that turned out to be a hidden gem—delicious food, beautiful views, and half the price of others in the area. His recommendations made my trip so much more special. The location couldn’t be better—tucked away in a quiet area yet just around the corner from the gardens and the town center. Truly the best of both worlds. This hotel was magical from start to finish, and I will absolutely be back. Highly recommend to anyone visiting!

We will definitely stay here again when we return to Capri! Our experience was wonderful- Ettore, his wife and all the staff were so kind and friendly. They provided recommendations for places to visit and eat while we were there. The rooms are spacious, very clean and the beds are comfortable. I have a gluten allergy and they were so accommodating with breakfast. The hotel is in a quiet area with a beautiful view, but just a short walk from the town center. It was very easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. Highly recommend for your stay in Capri!

La Tosca is the perfect place to stay on Capri. The rooms and beds are comfortable with excellent air conditioning. The patio is great for breakfast or an evening drink while soaking in the beautiful view. While it is a quiet location ,it is a short walk to shopping and restaurants. The owners and staff could not be more attentive to requests or to help plan and arrange daily activities with you. We are looking forward to our next stay!!!|Thank you Ettore for a wonderful experience.

What a wonderful hotel! Ettore was extremely helpful from the moment we booked until we checked out. Michele, his wife, and the staff were amazing too. They all make you feel like you are home. Every morning we had breakfast with a beautiful view. Definitely consider Hotel La Tosca when you are planning your next trip to Capri. ☺️

I have been on a two month vacation traveling Europe. France, Switzerland, Germany, and Italy. I always try and find family-owned hotels because they tend to take care of customers more than large corporate hotel chains. I was very fortunate to find Hotel La Tosca on Capri. It is family owned. The hotel has been in Ettore’s (the husband) family and you can tell the pride he takes in owning the family hotel. He and his wife (Michelle) are such nice and professional people. The hotel is modern, great A/C and wifi. The rooms are large and comfortable and the hotel is a 5-10 min walk to the city center which is nice to get away from the crowds and noise. It has been my favorite place to stay as I am ending my vacation. The hotel accommodation is fantastic and the view from the front patio is such a beautiful view. They serve breakfast out on the patio in the mornings, but what makes this hotel my favorite, is the owners. Ettore goes out of his way to make sure your stay is exceptional. He will offer to make dinner reservations and arrange luggage transfers and will sit with you and ask what is your perfect Capri vacation, and will try and make that happen. What great owners. I planned 9 days on Capri to hike and scuba dive and I am so glad I found this hotel. I have hiked so many trails on this island and I have hiked by so many hotels and I would not want to stay any where but Hotel La Tosca. You can’t go wrong staying at Hotel La Tosca. When I come back to Capri I will stay here again. You enter as customers but you leave as friends. Thank you to Ettore, Michelle, and all the wonderful and friendly staff. It’s run with such care by a lovely husband and wife team, and the heart of the experience is Ettore—who is, quite simply, amazing. His responsiveness blew me away. From the moment I reached out, Ettore replied immediately, with helpful answers, clear directions, and warm hospitality that made me feel truly welcomed.||The hotel itself has breathtaking views and is beautifully maintained. It’s more budget-friendly than many places in Capri, which means rooms—especially singles and doubles—are smaller, but they are immaculate. Exceptionally clean, safe, and thoughtfully appointed with simple amenities like a hairdryer and quality linens.||The breakfast is charming: fresh fruit, yogurt (including vegan options if you ask!), warm croissants, bread baskets, and unlimited cappuccinos, americanos, and espressos that are served from 8 to 10 AM daily. A perfect way to start your morning with a view.||Travel Tips:||Ask Ettore for a room with a terrace or outdoor space—he’ll do his best to accommodate.||He also offers apartment-style rooms that are ideal for families.||Getting to the hotel involves a bit of a walk, but Ettore clearly explains how to have your luggage delivered for a small fee—which I highly recommend.||This hotel is a gem for solo travelers, families, and anyone seeking a warm, hospitable, and clean stay in Capri that doesn’t break the bank. Ettore goes above and beyond to ensure your experience is seamless and special. I would absolutely stay here again—and highly, highly recommend you do too.

Had a great stay and hotel was very nice, quiet, comfortable beds and great location. We chose the hotel based on great reviews of the owner, Ettore and he provided fabulous service. He gave us a great introduction to Capri covering all the sites and how to get there. It was amazing how much we saw in one day and especially enjoyed the hikes he recommended. The staff was super helpful as well. I would highly recommend La Tosca and we will definitely stay here when we return.

La Tosca is an absolute gem and Ettore is the most gracious host I have ever stayed with. Being born and raised on the island, he will not only tell you where to go and what to do but who to ask for! Each morning, Ettore and team will have your breakfast ready for you on the veranda and ask what you'd like to do that day. Upon your return, they'll then set you up with drinks for a night cap to finish the day, as you look over the island, and the water. My wife and I even got our dates wrong and the team at La Tosca accommodated us, as well as reached out to our next hotel for us to get the dates situated correctly. I highly recommend Capri for your trip Italy itinerary and stay at La Tosca, you will not regret it.

Fab budget hotel in Capri. It is not easy to find reasonable rates on this island. La Tosca has that and very friendly staff who cannot wait to help you. We spend a relaxing couple of days here and were very glad we came.
