Hotel Landgoed Het Roode Koper

We stayed at Het Roode Koper for three nights on their package that included extended breakfast and a four-course dinner. We arrived on 12 April after a 14-hour flight from Singapore, jet lagged and with our two young daughters (5 and 2). Despite a large event group of about 100 guests at the time, the staff made sure we were comfortable from the moment we arrived. Special thanks to Chef Dennis, who went out of his way to make our girls feel welcome and created a truly memorable experience for them. Also to Rita, who took such great care of us at dinner—she made each evening feel special. The property itself is beautiful, nestled in nature and perfect for a relaxing getaway. While the dining experience leans more towards the formal side, the staff were warm and accommodating, especially considering we had two young kids with us. All three dinners were excellent. The only minor downside was that the AC unit wasn’t working, but with the cool spring nights, it didn’t really affect our stay. All in all, a lovely experience that exceeded our expectations—especially thanks to the people who made it feel like home.

Grand place located in a beautiful forest area. The main ‘house’ had different dining and sitting areas, including a bar with a lovely open fire. Apart from the main place there’s also a semi-outside area near the swimming pool. There’s beautiful walks around the place, bicycles for hire and a tennis court. You can even charge your electric car here. We experienced warm hospitality. The 6-course meal was truly special; prepared with love and great eye for detail. If you’re looking for a special experience and you’ve got some money to spend, then you should consider this place.

High class cuisine, restaurant and hotel in a really stylefull peacefull landscape. People come here for a retraite, relaxation, or styleful stay , with extraordinary beautiful gardens..

Can't imagine a better place to celebrate our anniversary, with our dog. It's amidst a lush forest with beautiful trails, the new koetshuis has apartments that welcome furry friends, and also feature a fire place, jacuzzi and sauna! The main mansion has expanded over the years yet is still in the same posh style as in the 19th century. The staff is very friendly and hospitable in a relaxed way. We enjoyed a 5 course dinner that is at Michelin level. All chefs joined us at the table one course at a time to give the background of the dish. The house also has bikes to explore the Veluwe. We spotted a spring of 40 deer on the run. Magnificent.

We ate at the Het Roode Koper Restaurant, and went there for our anniversary. We where one of the first ones there and where looking forward to a lovely meal. The service could have been better. As a lady with a purse, I requested if I could have a chair as to not put my purse on the floor and the server said no, that all the chairs will be busy eventually. Mind you we where the first ones there. Either way, one expects a certain type of service with the price range on this restaurant. The attention was lacking, they did not come by often to see how we were. It was all a bit underwhelming. I food was good but the overall experience was lacking.

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and assisted with our luggage, highlighting the hospitable nature of the staff. The hotel consists of a main building and several outbuildings, and our room was situated in one of the outbuildings called Voorhuis.|Our room in the Voorhuis was well-maintained, tidy, and furnished with a comfortable bed. Additionally, the hotel boasts a stunning outdoor pool area with enough sunbeds, creating a perfect spot for relaxation. Moreover, a cozy place for drinks is next to the pool area, which adds to the overall ambiance.|The hotel's restaurant area features an outdoor terrace, which overlooks a beautifully landscaped garden and allows you to enjoy lunch or dinner in the sun. Our dining experience at the restaurant was exceptional; both lunch and dinner were outstanding. The chef came to our table to discuss the lunch menu and gave special attention to the two young children at our party. The youngest, who is 4, wanted chicken nuggets, which was no problem for the chef. The youngest enjoyed the delicious fresh chicken nuggets made by the chef. In contrast, we enjoyed the deliciously put-together lunch consisting of several courses with various fish and a delightful dessert. In addition, the attentive and service-oriented staff further enhances our overall dining experience.|One remarkable aspect of the hotel is the trust and familiarity between the guests and the staff. Guests are not required to provide their room numbers or sign receipts, as the team is knowledgeable about your identity and room assignment. Additionally, the hotel offers convenient access to the surrounding woods, providing opportunities for leisurely walks or bike rides. Overall, the seamless integration of nature and hospitality creates an oasis of serenity.

My experience at this hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. If it were possible to award 10 stars, I would not hesitate. Our visit in March, for a company team-building trip involving over 20 participants, revealed the hotel as a remarkable hidden gem nestled in the countryside of the Netherlands. Its beauty captivated us, with every detail meticulously attended to. Among the hundreds of hotels I've visited, the service here was unparalleled, setting a new benchmark for excellence. Our heartfelt congratulations go to the owner and management for their exemplary leadership in assembling a team of staff members who exhibit genuine care and attentiveness towards their guests, often anticipating our needs before we even recognized them ourselves.

Beautiful location, in the middle of the woods. Hotel rooms very comfortable albeit slightly dated. Staff very welcoming and good at their job. ||The food is exceptional. We had 2 nights with the 4 course dinner and each course was delicious. The chef is very creative with the terroir yet avoids getting all snobbish like so many Michelin restaurants. ||We will definitely come back to enjoy the food and cycle around the Veluwe.||Highly recommended!
