Hôtel le Chamois d'Or

We went for lunch at the Chamois d’Or ‘s restaurant and it was simply superb. Well worth a visit.||The food was excellent in a beautiful setting, service was friendly with the staff always trying to be helpful.||Can’t say much about the hotel as we only went for lunch - but certainly can recommend lunch.

Our best hotel stay so far in 2023. This is a true alpine hotel with traditional decor and if you visit Alps this type of traditional family owned hotels and hospitality would add more joy to the visit. The hotel's dining room and bar with a Mont Blanc view was truly enjoyable. The food, drinks and services are memorable as well. This hotel is run by a friendly family. They have made every effort to make sure our stay is comfortable and enjoyable. The management and staff were truly respectful to their clients. Hope to visit this hotel in the future again.

What can I say? As a visitor from Canada who has never been to the Alps, this little gem could. Not have provided me with a better experience. The hotel is family run and you feel like a guest in their home. It is in a gorgeous location in the Alps with views that are out of this world. The hotel itself is spotless and filled with charm. There is a lovely lounge area inside with comfortable lounging area and an outdoor patio and pool area for relaxing. The restaurant at the hotel is superb and very well priced for such good food and attentive service. My room was perfect with a lovely view of the mountains behind. I can’t recommend enough and thanks for a lovely stay!

What an amazing hotel! The owners (husband and wife) make you feel so welcome. The breakfast buffet is filled with freshly baked breads and cakes among the numerous selections. The views of the French Alps are incredible too. The airline lost my baggage and the hotel kept in touch with me even after we checked-out to report the airline had called to say they found it. Highly recommend this property.

This hotel has been the find of our holiday. Tucked away at the top of a hill (don't be put off by the steep and winding road, even if some of the hairpin bends are incredibly tight), everything gets 5 stars from us. The staff are all multilingual, friendly, and so helpful. Our room and balcony gave stunning views of Mont Blanc, was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The bathroom was compact but fitted out to a very high standard. The evening meal was reasonably priced, but of superb quality, and three courses left us comfortably full . Our waiter was charming, knowledgable, and could easily work at the Ritz or Langhams. I anticipate that we will both sleep incredibly well as the bed is so comfortable, and the room is wonderfully cool. I know I've echoed the sentiments of others, but this is an outstanding hotel and deserves the recognition.

From the day we arrived, everyone made us feel welcome. In fact it felt like home. The rooms are beautiful, and have amazing views. The restaurant is reasonably priced, and the food is amazing - better than anywhere we had eaten in France previously. The staff are very friendly, and can't do enough for you - nothing is too much trouble at all. ||Did I mention the amazing views? Doesn't matter which room you have you will see incredibly beautiful mountains. ||An amazing place to stay, with amazing people who make you feel incredibly welcome. We thoroughly recommend the hotel to anyone who wants a great experience.

What a fantastic place! The lovely staff very kindly found us a room and a table at the restaurant last minute. Both were excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, with an incredible view of Mont Blanc and we enjoyed watching the sunrise over the mountain. The food at the restaurant was delicious and really good quality. Breakfast was also a nice selection. Service in all cases was excellent. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to be back!

The most friendly, warm and charming hotel with incredible views of Mont Blanc. Caroline and Christoph and their team are incredible hosts. The food and service - superb! It really is just perfect in every way! I travel a lot all over the world and it would be hard to be the Chamois D’or for the feeling of being at home, welcome and spoiled!
