Six Exceptional Hotels Close to The Eiffel Tower

"The refurbishment of Le Cinq Codet, housed in a former 1930s office building close to the Champ de Mars and Invalides, was entrusted to celebrated interior architect Jean-Philippe Nuel. The result is a chic, relaxing interior that taps into the building's Modernist origins and rivals the elegance of any Parisian boutique hotel!" - The MICHELIN Guide

I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel. I had read many positive reviews and was confident it wouldn't disappoint. Overall, it was OK — not terrible by any means, but certainly not what you’d expect from a 5-star hotel. The staff was welcoming and the rooms were clean, which is appreciated, but also the bare minimum at this level. The rooms were extremely small. I know Paris hotels are known for limited space, but this was below expectations. The bathroom in particular was ridiculously tiny. On the plus side, the room was quiet and well insulated from other guests. Breakfast on Saturday was a big letdown — many items weren’t replenished and some looked old. There was only one staff member handling everything, which clearly wasn’t enough. Thankfully, breakfast on Sunday was much better, so perhaps Saturday was just an off day. The location is great, just a 15-minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. All in all, my honest score would be 3.5 out of 5.

This is our second visit to this hotel. The service is excellent. The hotel location is very good with some rooms having views of Napoleon's tomb, which is especially beautiful at night.||||My only complaint is that one night the room was very chilly. I caught a cold. It could have been easily avoided had we known that one of the wall switches opened a window. I might suggest labeling the various switches (there are a lot of them which operate lights, window blinds and unbeknownst to us . . . a window) or at least providing some information about them in the room.

My wife and had booked a nice suite here for 4 days to see the Paris Airshow, with a confirmed reservation through American Airlines. When we arrived from the States at 1900hrs, the attendant said he had no room for us in spite of showing us on the hotel computer that we indeed had a confirmed reservation. He did try to find us a room but nothing was now available for the 4 days. He told us he could accommodate us for 2 days in one room then move us to another. |We were able to book another hotel that night but this was very disconcerting since we had the reservation booked months ahead.|DO NOT STAY HERE!|We also list 19000 airline points and had to pay for another cab ride.

We have a few days stay over there in Paris, have been to Paris 3 times and this time it was the best experience. Definitely meet the standards of a 5 star, from the ease to check in. The hotel was extremely clean, facilities were accessible to us at almost all times. Spacious room comparing of other hotels in Paris. Perfect location, walking distance from Les invalides and the Eiffel Tower. Will definitely return if have a second trip to Paris.

For our family of four, first time in Paris, cozy beautiful boutique hotel nestled walking distance from Eiffel Tower, metro, taxi/uber, shops and conveniences.||||Staff super professional and helpful at all times, from front desk, concierge, restaurant and housekeeping.||||Our two teenaged kids in duplex next door to ours- no adjoining door but that was fine. Duplex stairs would not recommend for elderly or very young children- for those would request adjoining rooms, but this was fine for us.||||Eiffel Tower and Invalides walking distance, so we could walk to see the lightening of the Eiffel Tower many nights at 11pm and once at midnight. ||||This hotel would be perfect for a romantic couple but just as well for a family. Duplex makes it large enough to feel restful at end of day of sightseeing snd traveling. Also perfect for romantic do not disturb.||||Most of the other sites on the other bank of the Seine require metro or taxi/uber, both very close. Metro Ecole Militiare stop and taxi at same corner. Taxis were actually cheaper than Uber and more reliable but neither were happy with short fares and sometimes the Ubers would cancel or hope you would cancel on them. Metro convenient but sometimes crowded in evening.||||Overall highly recommend this place and strong option for return on next vacation.

Duplex Suite: No Air, Police at the Door, Random €500 Charges… and I Still Had to Run to Hotel Brach for Safety.||||I’ve stayed at proper 5-star hotels like Hotel Madame Rêve, Hotel Brach, and Hôtel Fouquet’s — they understand how luxury hospitality works. This hotel? Not even close. They should study those hotels… or at least learn how to treat paying guests like humans.||||I booked their Duplex Suite at over $1,000 per night, expecting privacy and peace. Instead, I got a room with no windows that open, no fresh air, and no concept of guest comfort.||||I specifically told them not to disturb me under any circumstances unless I called first. Instead, while napping peacefully, I woke up to aggressive banging on my door by two staff members in suits with no explanation. When I called reception to ask what this circus was about, they hung up on me.||||But the show wasn’t over. Minutes later, FIVE police officers appeared at my door. Yes, this hotel thought disturbing a guest’s nap justified calling law enforcement. No reason given. No explanation. Just pure humiliation.||||To make matters worse, they decided to randomly charge my card €500 without my approval or any explanation. Theft? Mistake? Who knows. I had to call the police myself to get my own money refunded. Ironically, it was a non-refundable booking — yet somehow they managed to refund me after realizing how absurd this situation had become.||||Naturally, I fled straight to Hotel Brach — a hotel that actually knows how to treat guests, serve breakfast, and open a window. Imagine that.||||Summary of my Duplex Suite disaster:|| • No fresh air, windows sealed shut|| • Privacy ignored, disturbed mid-nap|| • Aggressive staff knocking for no reason|| • Police called on me without cause|| • Unauthorized €500 charge|| • Forced to involve police to get my refund|| • Ran away to Brach to recover from the experience||||If you’re paying for 5-star service, spare yourself the embarrassment of staying here. Go somewhere that knows what hospitality means.

This was my first trip to Paris. I read a lot of reviews of where to stay in Paris and which Hotel would be a great choice. Le Cinq Codet in the 7th Arrondissement was probably the best choice I could have made. Before arriving, the concierge was great at helping me coordinate transportation from the airport and coordinating several trips. Upon arriving I found the staff could not be more accommodating from start to finish. The room was fantastic. One thing I need when traveling is a great shower and this one was great. The breakfast each morning was probably the best food I had while in Paris. The location of the hotel is very safe, quiet and convenient, probably the most important thing. There are a lot of restaurants and a great open market a few hundred feet away. Many friends who had traveled to Paris told me their hotel was not great and I was concerned. The Le Cinq Codet was absolutely fantastic.

Yelp
Spent my Birthday In this hotel. Absolutely amazing the staff is extremely friendly and ready to help. 5/5 customer service, everyone is so welcoming. Regardless of the hour someone is willing to help. The rooms are well maintain and everything seems clean which in a time like this is very important. The view to the Tower from here is beautiful at night. The sizes of the room are perfect.

Yelp
Charming hotel conveniently located near Rue Cler and a 20-minute walk to the Seine. We stayed in a luxurious duplex suite with a gorgeous view, half bath downstairs, soaking tub upstairs as well as a separate dressing area in the full bathroom (with shower). Staff was accommodating and courteous. Overall a pleasant hotel.

Yelp
Simply magnificent!!! Amazing staff, amazing place, amazing location. Words cannot describe how awesome of an experience it has been to stay here! The hotel is central to most of the major tourist areas. The Eiffel Tower is a 10 minute walk from here. Napoleons grave is 2 minutes. Simply awesome staff that makes every bit of the experience here a magnificent one!

Yelp
Excellent hotel and let me explain why: (1) it's small and more intimate in just about every way (2) quality of the room and facilities is top notch (3) service was mainly excellent all across the board including their cafe (4) conveniently located to the Eiffel Tower (if that matters) (5) it wasn't a $1000 per night when I stayed

Yelp
Small but swanky! That's our room. Every small detail is well done but gosh this is a very small room with very high ceiling. Bathroom tiny but well appointed. No room to put anything. Great shower. Super great staff and wow beautiful flowers in room. I just think that for the price point everything shouldn't be so miniature.

Yelp
This hotel was absolutely amazing!!! It's within walking distance to the Eiffel tower. The service from every staff member was fantastic. We stayed in a duplex room which was clean and the room received service twice daily. The room had complimentary water and espresso. Anything we consumed was immediately replaced the next day. There is a nice spa area with Jacuzzi, gym, and steam room. The food from the restaurant was delicious and its open late. Would stay here again.

Yelp
(Victims of Theft) Me and my boyfriend checked in at Le Cinq Codet in Paris on June 11th 2019. As soon as we stepped in the lobby, we were soon welcomed by the warm and friendly staff. The design was chic and unique, and we loved it. The room was nice and clean, and we spent our fist night comfortably. The whole positive experience led us to happily extend one more night. However, on the second day, we became victims of theft. In the process of extending our stay, our belongings had to be transferred to a different room, and for some reason, it had to be done immediately. We gave our consent to the manager, who assured a thorough supervision of the transfer. Unfortunately, some valuable jewelry and cash were missing from our wallets. The staff conducted an investigation among their cleaning staff, but it turned out to be inconclusive. Very disappointing and surprising for a five star hotel. I learned my lesson to lock valuables in the hotel safe in the future, even it's a high end hotel. We hope they take measures to better prevent and deal with theft in the future. I can share the full detail of the incident if anyone wants to know.

Yelp
Le Cinq Codet is simply the definition of a Parisian gem. Every inch of the hotel is sleek and modern yet incredibly comfortable. The hotel staff is absolutely amazing. They are welcoming from the moment you walk in, and truly go the extra mile to make your stay as lovely as possible (even if that means running a few blocks through traffic barricades in order to get you to your Uber in time for a reservation!!). Le Cinq Codet is now one of my favorite hotels, and I cannot wait to stay here again the next time I visit Paris.

Yelp
Beautiful, modern and clean boutique hotel nestled into a great area close to the city center, yet away from the hustle & bustle. Our particular room (duplex) was two stories, with a living room and half bath downstairs, and full bath with rainfall shower, King-sized bed, and soaking tub with a view of the War Museum (Musée de l'Armée). That soaking tub with that view... I must've been in that thing on average 3 times a day--LOL. The room service food is tasty--especially desserts! The bed is very comfy! The automatic shades are a cool touch and come in handy to make it pitch black! The staff is nice, but they don't necessarily go out of their way to be exceptional. I was really close to docking a star because they charge 9€ for a small cup of tea--wtf??? Also, they were stingy with the water bottles and gave us only one complimentary upon checking in. Plus, the wifi was only solid in the actual room, not so much in the lobby or hallways. Otherwise, it's a great choice to be walking distance to many must-see areas.

Yelp
The location can not be beat. The hospitality and professionalism of the staff cannot be beat. They made us feel right at home. If you are looking for a place to stay at I Paris look no further!!!

Yelp
Incredible from the moment we walked in until the end of our stay. The staff is so helpful and welcoming. The accommodations are modern and comfy. I felt like I had my very own place in Paris and was at home. I will absolutely recommend this place and I can't wait to come stay again!

Yelp
Where do I start? This hotel is AMAZING! So happy I was able to stay here before it becomes "a thing". Stayed here for a week in May this year for my 10-year anniversary with my Fiancé. We chose a duplex room-small but luxurious. The room was spotless, and the tub in our 2nd floor bedroom was such a nice touch. When we weren't exploring the city, doing tourist-y things, we were in our room watching Netflix on their television that doubled as a computer. When our spotty service lacked, wifi in the hotel room was free. The staff were nothing short of nice and accommodating, even allowing us our room a little earlier than check-in time. If going to Paris, stay here! We walked to the Eiffel every day, and we had a beautiful view of Napoleon's final resting place, Les Invalides. The only downside is there is a lot of restaurants around the area that really cater to tourists. Authentic French cuisine can be found through a quick Yelp search and is another way of exploring this beautiful city!

Yelp
Great place to stay, service is very friendly, concierge was very helpful! The have umbrellas, two bikes, tickets for every museum, they will call all the restaurants to make sure they are open (a lot fill up or close during the day or for a month). It is very clean, the free breakfast is awesome! The only reason why I don't give it 5 stars is because for the price they still gauge you in dumb areas $9 for a bottle of Evian water, and the room service would bring us some of the things we asked for but not everything. Overall I loved it and would stay here again.

Yelp
I'm giving this beautiful hotel 3 stars because it's clean and fairly new. Our room was beautiful and spacious. The service was extremely lacking. I have never had so many mistakes made on transportation in any trip. The concierge seemed easy to work with, but nothing they arranged was correct. This part of the staff needs to get their act together to make this a hotel I would stay at again. The restaurant was closed for remodeling. The bar service was ok. We did receive a free bottle of champagne - but for whatever reason they removed it a couple days later!?! So many strange things, hence the 3 stars.

Yelp
One word. Amazing!!! The service! The room just superb!!! I stayed here right after fashion week in Paris, caught an amazing deal. Our room have a beautiful balcony the had views of the Eiffel tower. Definitely worth the cost. Central location to shopping and not to far from the Louvre. Will definitely stay here again. I love love love it here

Yelp
Beautiful hotel, extremely attentive staff, everyone from the check in agent to the bell hop bent over backwards to make our stay memorable. convenient location close to the Eiffel Tower. Very comfortable bed and nicely appointed room. We mentioned to someone at the hotel about having problems without Wi-Fi on our cell phones and they gave us a portable 4G hotspot to use during out stay

Yelp
I LOVED THIS HOTEL! We just came back from a euro trip with Paris being our last stop and we truly saved the best for last. The duplex was amazing! It felt like we had our own little apartment in Paris during our stay. The room was really fabulous and the duplex is well worth the money. We had so much space to do our own thing and get ready without cramping each other's space. Two words: the bed. The bed was what dreams are made of! I've honestly never slept better than I did on that bed. It was so comfortable, the sheets were divine, and the pillows were perfect! I will never stay anywhere else in Paris. Seriously fantastic!
