Duplex Suite: No Air, Police at the Door, Random €500 Charges… and I Still Had to Run to Hotel Brach for Safety.||||I’ve stayed at proper 5-star hotels like Hotel Madame Rêve, Hotel Brach, and Hôtel Fouquet’s — they understand how luxury hospitality works. This hotel? Not even close. They should study those hotels… or at least learn how to treat paying guests like humans.||||I booked their Duplex Suite at over $1,000 per night, expecting privacy and peace. Instead, I got a room with no windows that open, no fresh air, and no concept of guest comfort.||||I specifically told them not to disturb me under any circumstances unless I called first. Instead, while napping peacefully, I woke up to aggressive banging on my door by two staff members in suits with no explanation. When I called reception to ask what this circus was about, they hung up on me.||||But the show wasn’t over. Minutes later, FIVE police officers appeared at my door. Yes, this hotel thought disturbing a guest’s nap justified calling law enforcement. No reason given. No explanation. Just pure humiliation.||||To make matters worse, they decided to randomly charge my card €500 without my approval or any explanation. Theft? Mistake? Who knows. I had to call the police myself to get my own money refunded. Ironically, it was a non-refundable booking — yet somehow they managed to refund me after realizing how absurd this situation had become.||||Naturally, I fled straight to Hotel Brach — a hotel that actually knows how to treat guests, serve breakfast, and open a window. Imagine that.||||Summary of my Duplex Suite disaster:|| • No fresh air, windows sealed shut|| • Privacy ignored, disturbed mid-nap|| • Aggressive staff knocking for no reason|| • Police called on me without cause|| • Unauthorized €500 charge|| • Forced to involve police to get my refund|| • Ran away to Brach to recover from the experience||||If you’re paying for 5-star service, spare yourself the embarrassment of staying here. Go somewhere that knows what hospitality means.
