Hôtel Le Relais des Maures

We had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. Came with a group of 10 including a few young children. We ordered an adult entree for the kids to share and the kitchen split it and plated it so nicely for them. There was a little garden where we took the kids to burn off some steam after dinner while the rest of the group finished their meals and wine before dessert. Vibe was superb and the food/drink was delicious.

We came for dinner and it was the best meal of our holiday! This is refined home cooking using quality produce. Friendly generous hosting and an excellent chef. Every dish was a delight and paired perfectly with the delicious local wine. It almost felt like eating in someone’s home. Highly recommended we will be back.

We stayed two nights in early August. The hotel is situated in lovely Rayol le Caneda. It has private free parking (great news!) and is 50 metres from the main road, but not really affected by car noise. We had a room on the second floor with balcony on the side - it gave us a lovely view of the bay! The hotel is about 100 metres from a lovely beach with beautiful clear water - an easy stroll down the hill.||The room was of a comfortable (but not large) size, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was fine, everything worked. The only thing lacking in the room was either an air conditioner or a fan. I'm not bothered about a/c but a fan was definitely needed as it gets very hot in the summer.||breakfast on the terrace was great - lovely fresh bread, croissant, tea and coffee.||The owner is a lovely lady, the staff are all very friendly and efficient and we had a lovely stay - we would definitely return here, which is always a good sign! I'll do a separate review of the restaurant (which was also very good).

Traditional small hotel well maintained by the hosts. Idillic location, very close to the beach. One negative factor is that the rooms are not air conditioned.

It's 3 years and Covid since our last visit. It's almost as if nothing has changed but actually it has just got better! This gem of elegance and brilliant cuisine needs to be more widely known. Our holiday is longer in 2022 plenty of time for two more visits!
