Yelp
The Hôtel Relais Montmartre came recommended by a fellow Yelper, and I was not disappointed! A quaint, cozy boutique hotel around the corner from the Moulin Rouge, during the day the neighborhood isn't infested by other tourists - only you. Also in the area, many cute restaurants, mostly reasonably priced ($$) that are filled with locals. A little farther from the touristy sites (Louvre, Eiffel Tower), but manageable if you're willing to figure out the bus system.
As for the accommodations, we paid for the cheapest rooms and was placed in one on the ground floor next to the stairs, but did not even notice any noise from passing foot traffic. Clean room, full-sized mattress, spacious (a little dated) bathroom with only a shower.
One night, we brought back dinner to eat in the ground floor patio, and were pleasantly surprised when the staff offered us proper plates and cutlery for our meal.
In summary, Hôtel Relais Montmartre offered a very comfortable and friendly stay in a quaint, less-touristy neighborhood, a great Paris boutique hotel experience. Note: Free Wifi available.
