Les Haras (Strasbourg, Grand Est) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"A setting close to the heart of Strasbourg, just across the river from the old city center, doesn’t stop Les Haras from offering a touch of quasi-rural tranquility — along with some of the most distinctive hotel interiors in town. The 18th-century edifice that once housed France’s royal stables has been transformed by Parisian designers Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku into a unique and uniquely stylish high-end design hotel." - Tablet Hotels

Located in the former Strasbourg national stud, a set of 18 century buildings in la petite France just outside the historical centre, this is really a very stylish hotel. Our room was in the more recently renovated part, very light, beautiful materials (wood, bamboo and leather), well designed lighting, very comfortable bed and pillows, high quality linen. What is not to like? The service was charming too and breakfast varied and delicious. We will be back! Breakfast buffet was delicious and very varied with some excellent Alsatian cakes...

There are two buildings here - the older complex surrounding the beautiful courtyard and the newer building across the street. You want to be in the older complex with a courtyard view. Much less charm in the new one - yes the breakfast room is in the new building but you can just walk over or use the amazing stone tunnel. And even in the new building the ceilings/floors are thin and you will hear it whenever the person above you is walking around their room.|Pool is great, since they keep a schedule there are usually only 5 or 6 other people using it. It's medium temp, could be warmer, but certainly not cold either. The hammam is too hot/small/dark; the sauna is absolutely wonderful however. And the relaxation room is very nice.|Breakfast is good, not exceptional but quite good.|Overall this is a great place to stay and well located.

Lovely period property, which has been updated inside with a contemporary interior. Stunning at night, in the courtyard. The only disappointment was the level of hygiene and maintenance for the bedrooms. The room had greats amounts of exposed beams, which have not been treated or maintained. Huge amounts of spiders and cobwebs everywhere. Unfortunately there was a tick in my bed. The leather headboard was badly stained. Having moved rooms three times, each room displayed stains on the linen shutters, or the telephone lines were not connected. Not all rooms have proper shower fittings or shower screen. Rooms get extremely cold at night.

Hotel was in an excellent location, just outside the centre near the main canals and walkways. The hotel its self is grand and has great facilities. |The whole of Strasbourg for 4 women travelling felt really safe and friendly, great restaurants and the shopping of dreams. Defiantly recommend for a girl's weekend. We even booked a great spa in Germany 25 mins away which was excellent. Calaspa. |The staff were really exceptional, helping with finding good restaurants and booking a spa for us in Germany, really helpful and friendly. |great bathroom, powerful showers, with 2 options so you don't get your hair wet. Fluffy towels, robes and slippers. ||The swimming pool area has to be booked in advance but we found no problems in doing that.|The gym is tiny and only has heavy men's weights not very woman friendly if that's important to you. Its also quite a walk to the other side of the road under a tunnel.

Perfect from start to finish. Modern, spacious and quite room - perfect and very friendly service - only minutes by foot away from erverything you'd like to see in the old town - and an impressive sight by itself. Car is being taken care of and you wont need one for a perfect weekend in Strassbourgh. 👍🏻

We were in the annex building; our room was beautifully furnished but felt too large and sparse as if furniture are missing. Sadly it also smelled like cat pee. We loved the spa, it is absolutely beautiful and we had the space to ourselves.

Such a lovely hotel - we only stayed one night but would stay there again. Staff are beyond helpful from checking in to parking the car. They make the effort to talk to you and we felt very welcome.||Our room was lovely and modern and clean. The hotel has a lovely courtyard to sit and drink and there is a restaurant adjacent to the hotel too.||It is very close to the main town but tucked away so you are away from the hustle and bustle.

We had dinner here and also had a couples massage at the spa. Both were excellent and we highly recommend them both. ||Spa: Professional therapists that did an excellent job especially after a long flight and traveling around Europe. I am a massage therapist in the USA and it was definitely more along the lines of a Swedish massage. I prefer deep tissue myself. But she did work out some knots in my neck after I asked. Very relaxing. We also were able to use the pool and saunas prior to the massage. Be sure to bring a bathing suit.||Restaurant: It was very tasty and had excellent service. Great flavors and presentation and beautiful atmosphere. Not to miss!
