Disappointing Stay Despite Premium Location
While the location of the hotel is undoubtedly premium, everything else about the experience was, unfortunately, average at best. There’s a clear lack of attention to detail and thoughtful touches—those little things that make you want to return to a hotel—were simply missing.
Room Experience: We stayed in a junior suite, which, surprisingly, had no chair—making the space feel incomplete and uncomfortable. The bathroom was large but again lacked seating, which seemed like a missed opportunity. When we encountered an issue with the door not working properly, the front desk initially told us a technician would come on Monday—we were staying over the weekend. Only after insisting were we moved to a suite, which, although appreciated, was a letdown: it was smaller, had a stained couch, and featured the tiniest bathroom I’ve seen (with the toilet inside the bathroom, which felt cramped and poorly planned).
Service: Service left a lot to be desired. We had specifically requested a kids' room with two single beds, even confirmed it by phone, but arrived to find a king bed. There were missing amenities, no glasses in the bathroom, and a room temperature stuck at 26°C—because the AC hadn’t been activated for the season. These may seem like small oversights, but they added up quickly and made the stay frustrating.
It’s also disappointing that basic offerings like complimentary water weren’t available—especially considering many hotels today offer filtered, refillable water as part of their sustainability efforts. Forgetting even to place glasses in the room made things feel even more neglected.
Overall: It’s a shame that such a beautifully located hotel lacks the basic attention to detail that creates a true guest experience. Despite the generous upgrade gesture, the inconsistencies and missed essentials made the stay feel far below expectations.
