Lindenhof 1887

"This North German family-run establishment is pretty as a picture! After being welcomed into the attractive inn built in 1887 with a lively local greeting ("moin"), you can expect good, attentive service in a modern and thoroughly chic ambience. Chef Tjark-Peter Maaß cooks tasty dishes of a regional bent. For example, the fried North Sea plaice, fried potatoes, cucumber salad, Tönning shrimps is a tasty and fresh option – one of the classics. There are also some appealing and cosy guestrooms for an overnight stay." - Michelin Inspector

I loved the hotel. Great rooms and great restaurant. Location could be better but the hotel itself makes up for it in a lot of ways. Staff was super sweet and accommodating. Prices are in the high end. Everything was good until we visited the restaurant. The ambience is nice and the food was good. Unfortunately there was one male servant who was as rude as the rest of the staff was kind and he made sure will never set feet in the restaurant again. Normally I’m very forgiving and try to believe the best in people but the elderly male waiter was rude on numerous occasions and I almost called him out on his behavior. We spend EUR 250 in the restaurant for four persons without wine. The rest of the staff was wonderful.

What a lovely 😍 hotel with very nice and friendly personal 😊. The food is excellent, you might get a small heart attack when looking at the prices, but, really, its worth it! The rooms in the hotel are big and it looks like they've re-done the inside completely. Bath 🛁 room is nice and good. Everything you need is there!! For a Dutch men I te feels like home driving/cycling in this part of Germany. If you want to experience the wide open fields, quietness and nature, come to this place!! Enjoy your time away.

We stayed at the Lindenhof Hotel as a family for a for a full week in Summer 2021. The hotel caught our attention, as the only 'Gault Millau' place in the area. The kind hotel owner family make this place unique and unforgettable - please preserve your style. The kitchen was excellent and deserves the Gault Millau recognition. The food was very consistent in its quality, taste and presentation. You can see & taste the ambition for more, but it will require a bit more effort (kitchen & service). The service is good, helpful and friendly, but might want to step up to deliver the standard and aspiration. The small Hotel is very nice, as its has 8 rooms and we slept in the extension (2014). The beds are excellent and room service delivers the expectations. The tiny terrace / step outside in the garden is a nice to have. We visited several other restaurants in the area, but none as able to reach the quality and taste of the Lindenhof restaurant! We are coming back for this place - for sure.

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious meal in this historic Landhaus last night. It was our second visit and so far we haven't been disappointed. For a fine dining experience, the prices are acceptable for a reasonably wide variety menu. My wife choose the Kürbis Risotto which unfortunately was off but they offered couscous as a substitute and she was happy with the result. Myself I had celery cream soup with slices of duck breast, followed by roast beef and Bratkartoffeln as a classic dish. I finished this off with a couple of scoops of their homemade ice-cream. Will definitely be returning again.
