Lindenhof-Kasteel

"Volker and Susanne Kasteel have been playing host to their guests with great dedication for many years. In a tasteful interior (featuring ceiling beams from the original building, which dates back to 1682), tuck into ingredient-focused, seasonally inspired cuisine that draws on both classic and modern influences. Should you wish to spend the night, the hotel of the same name has well-kept guestrooms." - Michelin Inspector

Clean, comfortable, good breakfast, perfect restaurant & taste. We stayed for Drupa exhibition, 5 nights. İt was a good experience. İt is not so far away from the messe, about 30km away, driving from the motorway takes about 20 minutes to arrive the hotel. The restaurant has Michelin star awards. İt deserves that star because of the tastes were incredible . Soup, shells, Turbot, fawl, puzzle desserts ... The hotel owner , the chief deserves all compliments.. You will understand what I mean, when you eat..

We stayed here for four nights, using the hotel as our base for exploring the local German and Dutch countryside. Impeccably clean, great room (15), excellent breakfast and very personal service by the owner/chef and his wife. We really enjoyed our stay and are sad to have to leave again. Little chocolates on the pillow a nice touch too. We shall certainly stay here again when we pass through this area. There is free, unlimited and fast wifi. Attached to the hotel is a fabulous restaurant, which is very small and serves the most delicious food imaginable.

Very nice and comfortable hotel in a grandly designed and very well maintained building. The staff and presumably owners delivered a masterclass in customer service. Polite and extremely helpful, with every detail of every thing seemingly thought about. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with the en suite recently refurbished with one of the best showers I've ever used. Although some elements of the room appear dated it is high quality, with comfortable carpets, beds and bedding as well as storage furniture all appearing fairly new.|The room service was very good also and very reasonably priced. The restaurant too was fantastic for fine dining, quite easily the best in the area. Only niggle was service was a touch slow at times due to being busy. There is a large supermarket nearby, selection of shops and some not so great restaurants nearby also.

Stayed here for 1 night on a business trip I don't speak German so was a bit worried about communicating with the staff but I neednt have worried. The room I had was clean and modern. The hotel is quiet and in a quiet town so you will get a good nights sleep here. Breakfast was a little unusual to my British taste but good nonetheless.||My only issue was that room service is only available Tuesday to Saturday until 9 pm so get there early.

Had the pleasure to stay here on business while the world was falling to pieces. The staff could not have been more welcoming or more helpful. They were lovely. The rooms were tip top, and scrupulously cleaned everything day. The food is delicious and the breakfast is a must. If you’re in this part of Germany, then I’d highly recommend this establishment. |Thank you.

We have stayed and eaten here many times. The accommodation is charming and undergoing an upgrade in the bedrooms. The restaurant is always a delight. Breakfasts are yummy. A friendly welcome and great service too. Always our first choice when visiting Dusseldorf and Roermond.

A nice, friendly, clean, small hotel with really good breakfasts, comfortable beds and a lovely en-suite bathroom and parking spaces right outside the door. ||||I didnt eat in the restaurant so can't comment but plenty of good bars and restaruants across the road. . ||||Just a couple of things to be aware of: no air conditioning, no Sky TV and no lift. ||That said I think the Lindenhof is excellent value for money and I would stay again.

We have eaten here twice for special birthdays the latest on 19 May 12 and the Lindenhof did not fail to impress. Simply the best food we have ever eaten - yes, you pay for the experience, but we did have champagne, wines etc. If you are in the area this has to be one of the best eating experiences in this part of Germany. Every mouthful of food was a taste to behold. The staff were wonderfully attentive and could not have been more helpful. EAT HERE!
