Hotel Madinat

We booked this hotel because it's only five minutes walk to to the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba. Our room was on the top floor, it was cozy with an outside view. The con air was efficient and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The only thing I would pick on was the shower room, it was all made by glass walls right next to the bed only with a frosted stripe in the middle. I personally would prefer having a bit more privacy. The next day I happened to see another room with a different design on the 1st floor. The cleaning lady was kind. We booked the room with the breakfast for 2 which was roughly around €40 extra to the room rate, but the quality was not up to standard. The pastries were even wrapped with plastic packing like they were directly taken from grocerie stores. The egg omelet wasn't any ingredients inside. Perhaps continental breakfast (instead of buffet style) would be more suitable for the scale of the hotel. All in all, it was a decent stay.

This hotel is a gem in Cordoba. We booked 2 nights and would have stayed longer if we could have. Lovely rooms, cozy bed and the staff were friendly and helpful. The roof top balcony was a highlight of our stay and after a long day of sight seeing the bath was a wonderful way to soothe sore feet. I highly recommend it!

Hotel Madinat is a sublime little oasis located in the heart of Cordoba’s old city, just a few blocks from the Mesquita. The hosts were fantastic, allowing us to check-in early, enchanting us with sweets and fresh cold water as we wandered in from the heat, and providing great suggestions for things to see and places to eat around the city (we are vegetarian so this was very helpful).||The hotel itself is exceptionally clean and nicely appointed. It’s an old Palacio style building with a light and airy central open space and rooms surrounding this on all floors of the hotel. It’s small - a true boutique, with great light and views of the Mesquita from a little terrace on the roof of the building. The room we stayed in featured fresh linens, water, and some chocolates beyond the treats given to us at check-in. ||It has a bit of a Bed & Breakfast vibe and maybe it doesn’t need *all* of those dried flowers and vintage suitcases as decor. But we couldn’t have selected a more comfortable, welcoming, and excellent experience in the heart of the Old City. Would we stay here again? Absolutely.

Paloma went above and beyond with her recommendations—her suggestion to dine at La Regadera turned out to be a true hidden gem, offering a gourmet experience at an amazing price.|Thanks to the wonderful staff and the inviting atmosphere, our short visit to Córdoba was unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable and personalized stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Madinat last week. The hotel is centrally located in the old town (about a 7-minute walk to the Mezquita Catedral) and is about a 10-minute drive to the train station. We stayed in the Albucasis room and we found it to be beautifully decorated, light filled, clean, and cool (meaning the AC worked really well). The hotel staff were friendly. They organized a taxi to pick us up at the train station (not all taxis have access to old town), and we were greeted with a welcome drink upon arrival. The hotel is located in a renovated traditional Spanish style house and has a roof deck with panoramic views of the old town. I would recommend staying here if you’re visiting Córdoba!

Very helpful staff and beautiful historic building. Very quiet and beautiful views from the terrace. Each room is different, given it was built in a very old building fully renovated 15 years ago (according to the staff). The common areas are beautiful too.

It was our honeymoon and honestly the room was incredible! The view was amazing and the whole experience was extremely comfortable, the staff is amazing, they even recommend a restaurant that was one of the best restaurants we ate at in Spain, and they were extremely friendly, would 100% recommend

Very pleasant stay but I was on a business trip and I never received the invoice (which was supposed to be sent by email). Despite several requests by phone and by email I never received the invoice. If you are on a business trip better to choose another hotel.
