Well-located hotel, just a short walk from the city center. I had a renovated room, which offered great value for the price! A few drawbacks to keep in mind: • Poor soundproofing; every noise from the building is audible. • No room service, not even for basic drinks like water or soda. • No lounge area to relax, as the ground floor is entirely dedicated to the restaurant. That being said, given the price, it remains a solid option.

First time at this hotel.. very conveniently located..great place to shop around..the bus is very close by.. nice hotel..pretty clean but am very disappointed with the front staff..specifically the guy at front.. I came in at around 1030am.. and he gave me a dirty rude look and said it's too early to check in. I told him I had reserved and paid for the previous night but flight was delayed so I already have a room. He was not friendly, didn't smile. Bad customer service. I'll never come back. An airbnb would've been better and cheaper.

The hotel is very beautiful and charming and in a great location, but there were a couple things that unfortunately led to this 3-star review. To start, there always seemed to be an issue getting the right towels in our rooms. On multiple occasions, they did not replace all the towels. I went to reception several times to ask for the right towels and they would sometimes forget to bring them up. While the temperature downstairs and in the city, at that time, was quite cool, the temperature in our room on the third floor was very warm and almost unbearable for sleeping. The mini split in our room would not work as they turned off the central a/c during the winter. This forced us to open the windows so we could get some cool air to sleep. The problem here was that both windows led to small courtyards or alleys where there was always a strong stench of trash and cigarette smoke that wafted into our room.

Decent hotel in a great location. It's pretty no-frills -- nothing too special about the hotel. I was, give or take, 15 minutes by walking to anywhere noteworthy. That being said, you could hear everything happening in the floor from my room on the 1st floor.

I recently had the misfortune of staying at Hotel Market in Barcelona, and I can confidently say it was the worst hotel experience of my life. From the moment I arrived, it was a disaster.||||First, let's talk about the long-haired guy at the reception. He was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and downright unpleasant. He had a condescending attitude, seemed annoyed by any questions or requests, and made the check-in process a nightmare. I don't think I've ever encountered someone so unfit for hospitality. He was, quite frankly incompetent and unfit for the hospitality business.||||The room itself was equally appalling. It was dirty, with stains on the sheets and a bathroom that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The air conditioning was broken, and the noise from the street was unbearable, making it impossible to get any sleep. To top it off, there were mysterious bugs crawling around the room.||||Breakfast was a joke. The food was stale, the coffee tasted like dishwater, and the dining area was filthy. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, much like the receptionist.||Overall, Hotel Market is a disgrace. The staff is incompetent and rude, the rooms are disgusting, and the entire experience was a complete waste of money. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this place.||||I must highlight a particularly frustrating and unacceptable experience we encountered during our stay at one of the hotels. Despite Barcelona's charm and the high expectations we had for our visit, the hotel we chose fell far short of acceptable standards.||||The most egregious incident occurred when we were inexplicably locked out of our room. Upon returning after a day of exploring the city, we found that our key card no longer worked. Assuming it was a simple mistake, we headed to the front desk for assistance. However, what followed was a nightmare.||||The staff were not only unhelpful but seemed completely indifferent to our predicament. They couldn't explain why we were locked out and offered no immediate solution. Instead, we were left waiting in the lobby for an unreasonable amount of time, with no communication or updates on the situation.||||The complete lack of customer service was infuriating. We were treated as if our inconvenience was a minor issue, despite the fact that all our belongings were locked inside our room. The staff's attitude was dismissive, and at times, even rude. It was clear that customer care was not a priority for this hotel.||||After what felt like an eternity, we were finally informed that the lockout was due to an error in the hotel’s booking system. No sincere apology was offered, and the explanation was vague at best. By the time we regained access to our room, the evening was ruined.||||This experience starkly contrasts with the generally high standards expected in Barcelona's hotel market. The incompetence and lack of concern displayed by the hotel staff were appalling. It’s incidents like these that can tarnish the reputation of the city's hospitality industry.||||In summary, while Barcelona is a beautiful city with much to offer, our stay at this particular hotel was severely marred by poor management and abysmal customer service. The incident of being locked out of our room for no reason was not only inconvenient but also emblematic of the hotel's overall lack of professionalism and care for its guests. Such experiences should serve as a cautionary tale for travelers seeking accommodation in this otherwise fantastic destination.

This is our second time at this hotel. I like the location, the room is also clean and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was OK, but i hope they refilled the food more often.||I booked a double room and a single room for a party of 3. I am happy that the double room was upgraded. ||Be mindful when booking, on rooms that does not have views to the outside. The room is dark.

Junior suite is good value for money compared to their competitors. It’s got all the amenities you need and it’s quiet.
