This hotel is in a great location in the city. However, when I arrived in my room, I realized I paid way to much for it. The room was very warm and there was no real view from the windows. There was a hole in the wall which was badly repaired and I found crumbs from the previous guests on the floor. Also the paint was coming off the walls and all in all the room was in very bad shape. Isolation was severely lacking, since I could very clearly hear my neighbours flushing the toilet, using the hair dryer or taking a shower. The hotel staff was nice and the bed was as well!

I do see a lot of recent negative reviews on this hotel and I can understand why. With my review my intent is to bring awareness to what can and should be improved in this hotel so that it can stand out as one of the best in its area. Appearance: The hotel is located in a premium area, few minutes walk from the rambla and Mercado centrale. The look and style of the hotel goes for the decadent one of its common areas (dining room and lobby) to a mix of "great trouble in china town" style fornitures in the rooms (we staid in two of them). We got the junior suit, which is at the top of the hotel and it has a huge 30 sq.mt balcony. However the room is old and quite dirty, actually very dirty almost like none has cleaned behind and below its furniture for quite some time. Despite being on the top floor we could hear people talking in the near top apartments of the buidling, till late. The second room was a balcony room on the first floor. Here we could hear everything coming from the street and from the near rooms ... such as the TV and people talking. Furniture in these room have similar style as the one on the top floor. 2 out of 3 desk lamps were not staying on due to a defect of the switch, which we fixed with scotch tape. In this last room the AC would switch on on its own when we would open the door to the balcony, a real mistery. Breafast: Lot of variety. The two self served coffee / espresso and cappuccino machine had an uneven behaviors. One was delivering half portions as I had to top it off with extra milk/coffee. Bread looked fresh and ham and cheese were tasty. Frittata was good and croisant were ok. Scramble eggs could give an improvement in quality. The table we seat in the center of the room was not staying still and it moved wuite dangerously, also due probably to the partially uneven flor. Service: Overall the folks at the hotel have been quite nice and helpfull. At lunch, by mistake, we left one sweater on the chair and the kind lady, remembering us, gave it back later in the evening. The front desk folks are all nice, even though one young gentleman, who gave the impressions that had better things to do than being there, was quite annoyed by any request or question (if u talk to him you know who he is). In my modest opinion for the price of the rooms, the above shortcomings could be easily fixed. Throw old foniture away and buy new one, fix the run down floor, clean the bathrooms and every inch of the room when new guests come in, do so and you will attract more premium customers. The folks at the front desk are doing their best but the overall status of the hotel casts a shadow on the effort of the more delegent and committed ones. I give it a 3 out of 5 start in the hope things will change for better, but if we factor in the price of the room we should take one star away. Best of luck !

Stayed 1 night, quick check in, nice food in the restaurant. The room was clean and tidy. The bed was a delight. Some nice bars nearby. Reception kindly stored our luggage for a few hours whilst we explored.

I do not recommend this hotel. It's a huge disappointment for €433 for two nights! The rooms are very old and the noise is so loud it's impossible to sleep. You can hear people sneezing, coughing, and flushing the toilet in the neighboring rooms. This feels more like a residential building with multiple apartments than a hotel. It's rated at 1/2 stars, no more. I also want to point out the unfriendly receptionist. He's young, tall, and blond, and he has a very disgruntled expression. I don't speak Spanish, and my English is poor, as I only recently started learning it, which I warned him about. In all my travels, I've never encountered intolerance or obvious irritation with my slow speech. This made me even more confused and deeply humiliated. In the end, I had to ask my daughter to contact the hotel, who was able to speak with the employee and resolve the issue! I wish all travelers the best of Barcelona and avoid this hotel!

The hotel’s location is excellent, and the staff were helpful—they even recommended the best coffee in Madrid, which was a highlight! Unfortunately, the room fell short of expectations. The rough flooring was uncomfortable (even hazardous for bare feet), and the outdated key system was frustrating—it rarely worked, and nighttime reception support was hard to find. The furniture looked worn, rusty, and had dirty marks, making the room feel neglected. With better maintenance and updated amenities, this could be a fantastic stay. For now, it’s average at best.

This is a beautiful hotel with a very stylish decoration. However, it is indeed very old. The faucet needs to be controlled separately, and the door of the room needs to be opened with great force. The shower in the hotel will suddenly get hot and cold, which scared me several times when I took a shower. The sound insulation is not very good. I can accept this. It's not a big problem. I think the biggest problem is that the wifi is too bad! Google Maps navigation and SMS verification codes can't be received, let alone playing mobile games.

I’ll start with the good room was clean bed was comfy staff were friendly, now the bad the room smelt weird when I came in, the ac unit is not a ac unit more like a glorified fan it blew soft air it was so hot in the room it was driving me insane, the ac is also disgustingly dirty has black mold it seems like I added picture for reference, I saw in a previous comment someone said the AC doesn’t work and they replied they fixed it yeah that was a lie, the walls are paper thin you can hear everything from the outside and the inside this should not be considered a three star hotel but a one, the worst hotel I’ve stayed in all of Spain, I wish I could get my money back for this bs room I paid for. Also what room doesn’t come with a fridge oh and the drapes are duct taped on which is falling apart so shitty hotel but good staff.

The best hotel so far I have been in Barcelona! The room is so clean and the bed is so cozy. Rainshower is perfect after a hot day. I don’t understand any bad review. And it was even the best price in Barcelona. guys don’t hesitate and book it!
