Stayed at the Hotel Metropol for 7 nights mid-November 2025. It was my first time in CDMX and I had a good experience with the hotel. Both days of check-in and check-out, I had to store my suitcase at the hotel and this happened without hassle. My room was on the third floor, with my window facing Luis Moya street. So, it used to be noisy late into the night and I had trouble falling asleep couple of nights. The rooms do not have air conditioning, so I did really have to rely on extra layers of clothes and the additional blanket they left in my closet for the chilly nights. The shower and sink had readily available hot water which I am grateful for. The staff is all very nice and friendly, and were willing to work with my broken bits of Spanish. The bathroom also had a tap labeled Drinking water and I didn't have any health issues from using it. The food photos are from the buffet breakfasts I had at the La Goleta restaurant which is inside the hotel, and also a spaghetti alfredo dinner I had one night there. The food was always great! The location is pretty convenient for the Centro area, close to Zocalo, and the nearest metro stations are Juarez and Bellas Artes, both reachable within 5-minute walk. The gym needs its own key, so every time you want to use it, you need to go ask at the reception.
