"Spend a few days in the lap of luxury with a stay at the Gran Hotel Miramar. The historic palace has been turned into a five-star hotel that looks out onto the Mediterranean. Each of its rooms is decked out with plush furnishings in a soothing natural palette, making the panoramic views the star of the show. The hotel's spa is equally alluring and uses local ingredients for a unique Andalusian touch." - Travel + Leisure Editors

A wonderful experience from the moment I booked. Fantastic communication leading up to our stay which was for a special birthday. The hotel ensured everything was in place and was simply perfect. All the staff were very friendly and could not do enough for us. The hotel room was very clean and amenities superb. It’s a great location for exploring the city. Wonderful memories made in a beautifully luxurious hotel

We went up to rooftop for a drink after candlelight concert. The gentleman was supposed to bring a menu and forgot. Then asked for our order. Then we never brought the menus. After that a woman brought the menus and was very responsive. Great smash burger. Just surprised at first 30 minutes of non-service for a five star hotel. A beautiful building in a beautiful location.

Everything about our stay was perfect. On arrival one of the doormen met us at our cab with an umbrella. The check in manager helped us with our improving Spanish and our room was ready early. A beautiful hotel. Lovely gardens, a pool bar that was open in December and a wonderful room that was spotless. Breakfast was varied and great quality.|10 minutes walk to the port and about 20 to Larios.|A 5* hotel that feels genuinely high end. Thanks to the staff for making our stay perfect.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Gran Miramar for our wedding. and it truly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the hotel’s fantastic location, which allowed us to easily explore the surrounding area while providing a serene oasis to retreat to after a day of adventures. The staff were nothing short of exceptional. A special shout-out to Maria, who was amazing throughout our stay. She was incredibly helpful during the wedding planning process, always available to answer our questions and ensure that everything went smoothly. Her dedication made our wedding day not just stress-free, but truly magical. The amenities at the hotel were top-notch. We loved lounging by the stunning pool, which offered a perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun. The on-site restaurant provided an array of delicious dining options, and we especially enjoyed the rooftop. The views were breathtaking, and the ambiance was perfect for celebrating our special occasion. Overall, our experience was unforgettable. With its perfect location, friendly and attentive staff, and wonderful amenities, we couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway!

Located directly across the street from the beach, the Gran Hotel Miramar occupies a magnificently restored building with terrific views of the Mediterranean. We arrived in early December and my wife loved the holiday decorations. We spent two days at the Miramar; we had a deluxe room facing the sea. The room was spacious and comfortable, with marble floors, a big bathroom and a balcony; the decor in the room was nothing special, but you can’t beat the view. And, though there is a busy road separating the hotel property from the beach, there was no discernible noise from outdoors in our room all night; it was very quiet. Though the weather was too chilly for a swim, the hotel boasts a very nice size pool. The fitness center is smallish, but has adequate equipment for a good workout; and the running trail directly across the street allows for good runs along the beach. The hotel is about a 15 minute easy walk from the historic center of Malaga. While there are several restaurants in the hotel, there are also several great restaurants in the small neighborhood immediately adjacent to the hotel property. The staff was very welcoming and helpful, from the valet parking, to check-in to housekeeping. All in all, this is a special hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed staying here for our visit to Malaga.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unique hotel. Yes, it's pricey, but it's worth it. Our room was fantastic and very spacey. Staff were all friendly and cheerful. Housekeeping including turn down service were extraordinary. Breakfast gets busy but is never crowded and there's enough staff around to serve. Restaurant experience was great and portions at lunch huge. Location and building can't be beat! Atmosphere in the hotel and among the staff was superb. We'll be back.

Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms and friendly staff. Quiet rooms, elegantly furnished and large tv. Unfortunately only a couple or so of channels in English but it was amusing to see old TV favourites in German! Fully understand why the pool was closed for the winter but it would have been nice to use the spa pool for a lower price. The pool is advertised in the lift and it would be helpful if it had a note to say it was seasonal. The Christmas decorations were fabulous.

A luxury hotel that serves great food. Its by the beach and has parking. Rooms are spacious and elegantly designed. The staff are multilingual and very service oriented. The concierge helps clients with their needs. Well priced for that kind of service.

Yelp
Beautiful, historic hotel located just a 20 minute walk from the center of Old Town and located just across from the beach. Opening in 1926 as a luxury hotel, this property has served several functions over the years but was restored to its original grandeur in 2017. From the moment you pull up to the grand front entrance, service and attentiveness is off the charts! I was warmly greeted, assisted with my bag, shown to my room and told about the range of amenities at the hotel.Every staff member here is nice and speaks several languages which is nice. There is a full spa and my massage there was terrific. The breakfast restaurant has everything you could ever want available and the room looks out to the water. There is a rooftop bar that is classy and pours a great drink along with views of the water and city. The casual lunch restaurant, Botanicals, is also quite good with impeccable service. My room was one of the sea view suites, a splurge but worth the extra cost to have a large outdoor patio, views of the pool and sea as well as plenty of room to relax. Malaga is just coming into it's own as a vacation destination in Spain thanks to the Picasso museum, large port and plenty of restaurants. If you want a luxury stay while here, the Gran Hotel Miramar is for you!

Yelp
Absolutely stunning waterfront property. This hotel is truly one of a kind. Quaint and historic foundation with modern rooms and decor. Pool area and spa provide impeccable service. Staff is gracious and on top of every request. If you are heading to Malaga, there is no place better to stay.

Yelp
Great stunning hotel! Probably our best stay ever, anywhere. Malaga is a underrated destination in Spain. Not as touristy as other coast destinations but in that, you'll find a gem of a city with small town vibes, peaceful and quiet but with plenty of stuff to do. Yes, I know this is not a review of the city but I want to put this great hotel in context: Great hotel, awesome room with the ocean serenating your sleep. The insuperable installations are only au pair with the staff. Friendly, attentive, genuine... the room is serviced twice a day. We opted for breakfast included which is a not cheap but is one less thing to worry about and the buffet is actually pretty good. We loved it and we want to go back.

Yelp
Amazing hotel, amazing service, awesome location. It's probably one of the best hotels in Malaga. They don't cut corners, friendly staff will make your stay comfortable. 10 min walking to old town, across the street from the beach.
