Hotel Miramar

We had a wonderful 7 night stay in this beautiful hotel. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Buffet breakfast had a wide variety of choices, all very nice. The hotel is a short walk from cafes and restaurants, tons of choice. I had emailed the hotel before we arrived with a couple of requests, replies were immediate and helpful. We felt we were spoilt for the duration of our stay and look forward to returning.

Beautiful building dating from1926 totally renovated to 5 star quality. Across from Malagueta Beach. You are in the city centre and many cultural highlights are a short walk away. Staff were very helpful. Rooms were beautiful. Highly recommend a stay here when visiting Malaga.

We had an absolutely fantastic 5 nights here. ||Staff were super friendly and very helpful. ||We were in room 010, ground floor with a small terrace. Perfect for us. Super king size bed, sofa, table and chairs (in the room and on the terrace). ||Great shower. Plenty of product ( shampoo etc)||We were a hop, skip and a jump from the breakfast room and pool. Perfect for us. ||Pool area was quiet at this time of year. Very sunny area, even in December we could lie on the sunbed in out t shirts. ||Malaga city centre is a pleasant 20 min walk away. ||Obviously being in the city there was noise all around us, no bother to us and the rooms are all soundproof. ||Breakfast was excellent. More than enough to satisfy anyone. ||We were there as part of my recovery from illness and could not have wished for more. ||We would love to return.

We recently stayed at this beautiful historic hotel and, overall, we enjoyed our time here. The property has a grand, elegant atmosphere and one of the most beautifully decorated lobbies I have ever seen. The breakfast was good as well, although it was the same selection every morning. That said, for a rate of €360 per night, a few things were surprising. The spa is not included in the room rate and costs €30 per hour, and it closes very early at 7 pm. In a hotel of this category, we expected the spa to be complimentary for guests or at least available longer. The room itself was spacious, but the bed and mattress were disappointing. It was extremely soft and lacked proper support, and both of us woke up with back pain. The bathroom had no exhaust fan, no toilet brush, and no bidet. The cleaning, however, was excellent. Another issue is the location. The hotel sits right next to a main road, so you constantly hear traffic noise and even smell car exhaust when outside. It’s not possible to sit on the terrace for a quiet coffee because of this. Despite these drawbacks, we still appreciated the charm and history of the building and would recommend it for a one-night stay or for travellers who prioritise ambiance over amenities.

Excellent 4-night stay recently. Everything was dialed in so nicely. Food on site was phenomenal. Location allows for a short walk to wonderful cafes and food. Views of the sea are incredible. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Concierge helped with everything we needed, including mailing an item I left behind by accident. So glad we chose this hotel for our stay in Málaga.

From arrival I was greeted with professionalism, taken care of and given all the information I required. The hotel staff take time to see where I am from and just to make me feel more at ease will speak in English and change to Spanish when I do, it’s a lovely feeling to have them pay that much attention and made me feel so welcomed. Rooms are superb and general setting of the hotel is just amazing, only had light snacks here but if the standard is the same in the restaurant you will be in for a treat

Exceptional Stay at Gran Hotel Miramar GLI had a truly wonderful experience at Gran Hotel Miramar GL during my stay from November 1st to 4th, 2025. The hotel is stunning—elegantly designed with a perfect blend of historic charm and modern luxury. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered a beautiful view.The staff were exceptionally professional and attentive, always ready to assist with a warm smile. Every detail, from the check-in process to the housekeeping service, was handled with care and efficiency.The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of fresh and high-quality options. The hotel's location is ideal—peaceful yet close to the beach and city attractions.Overall, Gran Hotel Miramar GL exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing stay in Málaga.

Beautiful, historic hotel located just a 20 minute walk from the center of Old Town and located just across from the beach. Opening in 1926 as a luxury hotel, this property has served several functions over the years but was restored to its original grandeur in 2017. From the moment you pull up to the grand front entrance, service and attentiveness is off the charts! I was warmly greeted, assisted with my bag, shown to my room and told about the range of amenities at the hotel.Every staff member here is nice and speaks several languages which is nice. There is a full spa and my massage there was terrific. The breakfast restaurant has everything you could ever want available and the room looks out to the water. There is a rooftop bar that is classy and pours a great drink along with views of the water and city. The casual lunch restaurant, Botanicals, is also quite good with impeccable service. My room was one of the sea view suites, a splurge but worth the extra cost to have a large outdoor patio, views of the pool and sea as well as plenty of room to relax. Malaga is just coming into it's own as a vacation destination in Spain thanks to the Picasso museum, large port and plenty of restaurants. If you want a luxury stay while here, the Gran Hotel Miramar is for you!

Absolutely stunning waterfront property. This hotel is truly one of a kind. Quaint and historic foundation with modern rooms and decor. Pool area and spa provide impeccable service. Staff is gracious and on top of every request. If you are heading to Malaga, there is no place better to stay.

Great stunning hotel! Probably our best stay ever, anywhere. Malaga is a underrated destination in Spain. Not as touristy as other coast destinations but in that, you'll find a gem of a city with small town vibes, peaceful and quiet but with plenty of stuff to do. Yes, I know this is not a review of the city but I want to put this great hotel in context: Great hotel, awesome room with the ocean serenating your sleep. The insuperable installations are only au pair with the staff. Friendly, attentive, genuine... the room is serviced twice a day. We opted for breakfast included which is a not cheap but is one less thing to worry about and the buffet is actually pretty good. We loved it and we want to go back.

Amazing hotel, amazing service, awesome location. It's probably one of the best hotels in Malaga. They don't cut corners, friendly staff will make your stay comfortable. 10 min walking to old town, across the street from the beach.
