Hotel Monopol

This is a fantastic hotel and I would ratę 5 points. I have put 3 and it should be lower for the lack of room soundproofing. I wokę up 3 Times during the night and scared thinking somebody was in my room. I could hear the pulling of the curtains , the bathroomdrain, the conversation of other guests.. clearly! Not possible in an hotel like this. The rest was superb. Very good check-in service, nice breakfast, good internal restaurant and amazing spa. I Think a work on this is very much needed!

5 start hotel had mold in 2 rooms, they don't want to help customer offering him 35 euro for 250 euro trip. They refuse to help and had ignorant approach. I'm adding photos. Look also at google reviews of this hotel and you will know what happening.

We stayed here as a family of three with a young child during a weekend. The staff was very nice and accomodating and immediately made sure we felt pampered. The room was nice and spacious with a lovely view, but not at all noisy. The SPA is small but there is all you need, even though it would have been nice if the pool were a bit hotter. The breakfast was very well organized, not too overcrowded, with a nice selection of sweet and savoury dishes. Would definetely reccomend!

My favorite hotel at this point in Poland. The last year I have been staying there around 4 or 5 times and it was always amazing. The rooms are fantastic, very clean and very spacious. The swimming pool and the spa area is awesome. Even the gym is well equipped. And if you like sauna you can always go up to the roof from the spa to have an amazing view of the city after... And I left the best for last... The breakfast is just to die for. Their Eggs Benedict is perfect but they have absolutely plentiful choices of the other type. Overall it's a fabulous place with great, silent service and amazing options to unwind and just to relax. Highly recommended...

Had a great two night stay here. The rooms are spectacular for the money and the fittings have a modern chic to them. And wow the wooden floors are incredible. Stayed on the fifth floor with views of the opera and electric blinds. The spa is great and we had a wonderful time relaxing on the pool, sauna and steam rooms.

Simply best location, reasonable prices (in Moritz) amazing attentive staff snd sky bar and spa view amazing. Rooms and beds are fantastic and so is Breakfeast. Only difference to 3-5 top hotels is lack of extravagant lobby .. all the rest is like in best and most exopensive hotels normal rooms.

Our hotel and room experience was fantastic. Clean, spacious and modern, all within this beautiful old building and just a couple of blocks away from the main square. The hotel lobby bar was a disappointment. It was loud, most likely bad acoustics. A very cold feel to it with limited seating and zero atmosphere. nothing on the walls to make you feel at home or even to pay homage to this beautiful city and the building itself. We ate at both restaurants, in my opinion skip the one on main floor, not worth it but the6th floor one was full of atmosphere and delicious food.

Excellent Stay at Hotel Monopol Wrocław I recently stayed at Hotel Monopol in Wrocław for a business event, and it was an outstanding experience. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and well-equipped, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay. The service throughout the hotel was excellent – professional, attentive, and always willing to help. The location is ideal, right in the heart of Wrocław, with a (public) parking area nearby and just a 5-minute walk to the beautiful historic center. The business event I attended at the hotel was organized and managed with the highest level of professionalism, which made everything run smoothly. Food quality was consistently good, and the breakfast deserves special mention – it was simply excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. Overall, Hotel Monopol combines comfort, top service, and a perfect location. I would highly recommend it for both business and leisure stays.

Excellent Hotel in excellent location! Close to rynek and all the attractions in the city center! This is my 4th or 5th stay here and we absolutely love it!

We came to the hotel's restaurant for a group dinner, so we ordered from the group menu. If you like marble, you will like the interior of this historic restaurant. Dining here was a lovely experience. They kept our glasses filled with wine through the meal. My friend does not drink alcohol and has a lot of food allergies and they were careful to discuss everything with her and answer her questions. There were four courses to the meal with plenty of fish options, all of which were excellent. The smoked sturgeon as appetizer was a pleasant surprise. Although there were good options for the second course, I felt like I didn't have enough pierogi so I tried their pierogi and surprise, it was delicious. The monkfish was also good for the fish course. The lavender panna cotta was more beautiful but I appreciated the fresh fruit and finished it, of course.

Beautiful hotel, great room, and a very reasonable price. Excellent location just blocks from market square. Rooftop bar area was very. Excellent buffet breakfast each morning with a very wide selection of meats, fruit, veg, got options, cereal, pastry, Nespresso coffee, fresh squeezed juices, cheeses, and more. Caters to an international crowd so there is something for everyone. Staff is on the ball. Only here for a weekend and by Monday hostess in the cafe knew my coffee preference without asking. Downstairs bar has a few late night food options, and a wall of windows that can be opened when the weather permits. My room had 5 meter/15 foot ceilings, and the massive bathroom door was 4 meters tall. Comfortable bed, Jacuzzi tub with temp control, rainfall shower, bidet, sitting area in main room, large wardrobe with hanging space and shelves, two umbrellas in the room, and excellent service.

This hotel is so nice! It is beautiful inside and out, a 3 minute walk away from the city center / market place. It is tastefully decorated and furnished, it is very clean and the staff is friendly. The spa / workout area is very nice and clean but on the smaller side (e.g. there are two treadmills). The swimming pool is so nice as well and I loved the saunas. We did not have the pleasure to dine there but the rooftop bar is so very nice during good weather! The hotel could have a better selection of different whiskey's / whisky's - or at least keep the ones that are on the menu actually stocked. We ran into our selection not being. Also the hotel was very quiet. Neither sounds from within the hotel of from outside woke us up or were bothering us! Surprising for a very central location with a street and zone for pedestrians nearby. Altogether a great experience!

Was upgraded to a corner room on the 4th floor with beautiful view, as well as huge room, nice furniture, and super sized bathroom with 2 showers. The staff is professional and attentive. The breakfast buffet is top quality with good selection. The building is elegant, historic and well maintained. Location is close to everything. Definitely highly recommended.

The hotel itself is 124 years old, and has the history to go with it. It has seen many famous people in it's days, including both Hitler and Pablo Picasso. It's hard not to feel a bit humbled when walking the hallways. The building itself is clearly a 5 star affair. The spa is also a 5 star affair. The rooms fall in the 4-5 star category. The room service is 4 star. To be honest I am being a bit harsh here. The prawn salad is quite excellent but the club sandwich arrived in a bathtub worth of mayo on one out of three occasions. The kitchen was kind enough to provide me another sandwich without mayo after some back and forth. The room service was inexpensive and all in all a good experience, but the mayo fiasco did take an hour or two. Most 5 star hotels I stay at these days are clearly not deserving of the 5 stars. Monopol absolutely deserves the rating. If I could be more specific it would be 4.5/5 due to the room service issue, but honestly I am being very picky here.

I have stayed three times in this wonderful hotel and I like it a lot. I enjoy it for its location in the Wroclaw's downtown (just next to the Opera House), for its loooong history, but chiefly for its modern interior (a black Turkish marble in the lobby, walnut-acacia-stone room with tall designer doors (wow!), bathrooms from marble with personal Jacuzzi bath with colored underwater lights and with a designer showers ... Yes, this hotel is an art and I wish I knew the name of its interior designers (does anybody know?). The main restaurant downstairs is quite big and spacy and the bar downstairs could be opened in the hot summer days to the street, which is pretty cool. The dark history of this place (yes, Hitler once gave a speech from its balcony) seems to be too far and too forgotten. I would gladly give the highest rating to this hotel, but I can't do it after my last visit in July 2013. I faced those little problems: doors from my room were closing just with a big bang (they were broken), the toilet in my room was not flushing properly, the existence of one lift for the whole hotel was not too practical in morning peaks, a complimentary bottled water in my room was delivered occasionally, a complimentary parking (5 slots in front of the hotel) was full when I arrived on Monday morning, the receptionist was not too kind when I asked her for some Polish cash ... I still think that this hotel should aspire to the highest ranking, but the services, and the attention to the details, need to improve!
