Monsieur Aristide (Paris, Île-de-France) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Montmartre holds a special place in the romantic imagination of many visitors to Paris, and Monsieur Aristide leans into the romance, embracing the neighborhood’s bohemian charm. Which isn’t to say this boutique hotel isn’t innovative on its own terms. The 19th-century building was a longtime fixture on the local hotel scene — the wood-paneled reception desk, with its quaint rows of key hooks, is original, as is the vintage cocktail bar with its curving booths and retro Wurlitzer — before it was snapped up and smartly updated by an emerging hotelier and added to the Adresses Hôtels collection." - Tablet Hotels

Absolutely delightful boutique hotel! Excellent reception and helpful staff, especially Louis-Marie and Aldo. |Super breakfast choices--, they even provided us with plant-based milk. The rooms are a bit small but beautifully executed with a retro vibe. Immaculately clean and comfortable. I suggest taking a room with a private terrace...it was surrounded by fragrant jasmine and as large as the room....ideal for breakfast or just lounging with a glass of wine. The hotel is located on a block long street, quiet and convenient to all that Monmartre has to offer. We'll be back!

What a very delightful boutique hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful and are happy to help at any point of your stay. Our room, though small, had everything we needed for our 2 night stay and thank the lord for AC. It was hot, hot, hot the weekend we stayed. Excellent location, it isn't in a busy and noisy part of Paris, felt like a small town and one that you felt safer walking around in the evening than our home town!! Would I go back? In a heartbeat.

We had such a wonderful time here. The hotel was funky but so comfortable. Both the young men on reception in particular were so welcoming and obliging allowing us to leave bags before hand after check in and out. Breakfast was lovely and fresh. |The bed and in particular pillows were very comfortable...what we had been longing for in accommodation after 7 weeks away..|Great location near lots of restaurants. |

A fantastic find, we're so glad we booked to stay. The staff offered a warm and friendly welcome, the rooms were chic and comfortable. Importantly, it was peaceful and we slept extremely well. The location is top notch too, right off a main street with all the restaurants, bars, shops, cafes you could need. Bus lines and metros are a few minutes walk too. We would absolutely stay here again.

The Hotel has a boutique charm, simple & comfortable and in a perfect location. There are 3 Metro stations 5-8 minutes walk, so easy access to all of Paris. The surrounding area has many wonderful Boulangeries, Fresh fruit sellers, bars & cafe's, we were spoilt for choice. My favourite part was the staff, thanks to everyone particularly Zaki & Aldo, we will be back.

Good location and quirky atmosphere. I would never stay here with kids again as the suites are extremely tight and not suited for children. Skip the breakfast unless it's included. Very few options and most had already been picked over or were out. Charged the full 25 euro cost per adult along with whatever the kids cost was and was unable to dispute as our taxi was leaving for the airport.

My husband & I stayed for 3 nights for the first part of our honeymoon last week. Beautiful location/hotel, wonderful service, and exceptional food and drinks. The rooms were incredibly small which we somewhat expected since it’s Europe. But even New Yorkers like ourselves who are used to small spaces were a bit shocked at how small it was considering we got a higher priced room w/ a terrace. No room at all to stand or walk. We definitely wished we looked into the room size more before booking this for our honeymoon so we don’t fault the hotel- but definitely unfortunate. Our only serious concern we had was the lack of transparency regarding payment. We were told by our travel agent that we would pay on-site during check in or check out. On our wedding day in NYC a few days before checking in, my husband got a random charge for $400 that we thought was fraud since it was under another hotel name, but turned out to be from this hotel for “the first night”- strange but okay. Then when we checked in we got charged for the remaining 2 nights plus incidentals which made sense. However, when we checked out we were then forced to pay for the entire stay AGAIN. We were told that the first 2 charges would drop off, but this means that for 3 nights we were charged almost $2,500 if you add up all the separate charges. Even though the first two charges were going to drop, that is still over $1,000 we didn’t have access to for the rest of our vacation. The hotel’s reasoning was because we didn’t pay up front when we booked in March. As very frequent travelers we have never experienced being charged this way anywhere else. Our travel agent also confirmed that this wasn’t communicated to her and she will now have to note this to any future clients who want to book here. Again, all in all we had a great time and everyone was SO nice. But this unfortunately made us regret booking here and had us looking forward to our next destination a little too much.
